Paul Mitchell The School

Terrible. I have had four haircuts here. The first one was all right pretty good. It was done by phase 1 student at night… from then on I started using phase 2 hairstylists… The next two pretty boring. But OK. I could live with it at least. The last one? Nightmare! I came in with a photograph and I asked for a short spiky uneven messy rock-​n-​roll haircut. Same thing I always ask
for and SORTA get… I was very clear about what I wanted. I ended up with a short very smooth geometric flapper style bob with bangs. I ended up telling her to just stop cutting before she completely ruined what was left of my hair. I was in tears. But it was too late, it’s ruined. This is not rock-​n-​roll. This is more like Lady Gaga!!! YUCK!!! And when I spoke to the teacher in charge, she laughed at me. I will have to wait for months before I can get my hair back to the way I wear it and I’m happy with it. what happened to listening to the customer? They had never quite got it completely right before, but at least they tried and I was satisfied. This was a nightmare, and for the next few months at least, they have ruined my life. stick with the pros. They listen and they have class

Was thinking of going here as a student, and heard so many mixed reviews.
The place is like Kaiser… people either LOVE it or HATE IT.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t prepared to spend so much money (double the tuition of other schools) if I wasn’t guaranteed to get double the quality of education.
Ultimately, anyone who’s interested in cosmetology school should take a tour, sit through some classes… and go to a lot of different schools before choosing.
Their campus is really sleek and hip and just so cool looking. The products are obviously amazing. it’s Paul Mitchell. The staff was cool… but I wouldn’t consider them any more or less qualified than other cosmetology school teachers.
One of the things that pushed me away form the school is that I was scared of learning the Paul Mitchell way, and limiting myself to just their system. I kind of wanted to experience all of the lines… and then choose for myself.
