Visited twice(so far) and both experiences have been great! Good coffee, friendly staff, nice layout, very clean and convenient parking. The«specialty donuts» cost more than the«dailies». I bought 6 specialty donuts for the office this morning for $ 14.85…ouch! If you purchase a ½ dozen of the daily donuts, it’s $ 7.00 I’m guessing the best time to grab donuts is in the morning, I could see the staff working hard baking trays of donuts in the back. I strayed from my diet and ate the crème brûlée donut… it was worth it! The sugar on top had a little crunch to it, just like traditional crème brûlée. I hope they never open a place close to my job… I’d end up looking like a sumo wrestler! BTW, they are located in the plaza directly across from the Shelton Sports Center… it’s hard to spot this plaza when you’re cruising along River Road, I’ve passed right by it before.

2nd time I’ve had donuts from Donut Crazy in Shelton(had a Red Velvet donut a few months back, I liked it a lot, so I was looking forward to trying the donuts again). I purchased ½ a dozen«regulars» this morning, and I brought them over my parent’s house. I was a bit disappointed in the donuts I had this morning — felt like both of the ones I had were not fresh. I’m sure they were«day-old», definitely made yesterday, not this morning. My mother liked her Boston Crème, thought it was very tasty. I still might give Donut Crazy another try in the future though. Hey, it’s donuts.

Ok, so this popped up on my radar a few months ago and I just thought it would be another donut shop, no need to rush over there. well uhhmmm. finally made it there and it was easy to get to, about 3 mins off rt 15 by Sikorski bridge. When we pulled in there were 4 police cars. I thought maybe something was going down at the donut shop but it was just a cop gathering place. so that’s a good sign! The donut selection was pretty overwhelming. I ended up with 4 — a black hawk(helicopter themed donut), a nutella, a french toast and some other crunchy one. They were damn good donuts. Ok, maybe better than that. I went back the next day for more. Easy to get to if you are on 15, quick service, decent coffee. So many donut choices, and open late!

This place is cute. Every time I walk in it feels like Christmas because of the lights in the windows. I’m always overwhelmed by all of the flavors they offer. Luckily the cashiers are friendly and patient. I always come near close so I’ve never had the donuts fresh but they’re still delicious. I’ll usually buy two. One for there and one for home, where I can pop it in the microwave. But coming near close, you have a better chance of getting a little hook up, whether it’s some mini donuts or a few extra donuts that haven’t sold through the day. I’ve tried maple bacon, birthday cake supreme, apple pie, cannoli and plenty others that I can’t recall. My favorite was the crème brûlée. I’ve been to San Diego’s Donut Bar(one of the top rated donut spots in the country) and honestly, Donut Crazy was better without all the hype.
