Slowest, most awful service I have ever had at any Starbucks location. Yes, they are busy, but no reason for making drinks out of order.

Stopped in for a coffee on the way to Indy. I gave the employee a $ 20, but got change for a $ 10, when I told the person, they said I gave them a $ 10, which I knew wasn’t the case since I had just hit the ATM. I asked if they could do an audit. When another person came over to unlock the register, the person that served me said «he gave me a $ 10, but says he gave me a $ 20». Lo and behold, there was a $ 20 bill in the $ 10 drawer. Upon giving me my correct change, there was little apology despite the fact they pretty much called me a liar.

If you like expensive well made coffee, this is one place to get it quickly. They are always busy, but get everyone thru the drive thru and inside lines quickly. They also offer coco and a few non-​coffee drinks, and small snacks. The staff seems well trained, the place is kept clean, organized, and looks nice.

Great location for a pit-​stop from Indy to Knoxville. It’s consistently clean and I’ve always found the staff there to be friendly and helpful – even during busy times. Last Friday, I misspoke when I placed my order and the young woman making my drink actually took the time to double check with me to make sure I got what I actually wanted. I highly recommend it for long drives.

I’ll say up front that I’m not a HUGE Starbucks fan. Once in a while I’ll get a craving, and stop in, but that’s fairly rare.
That said, when I stop at one, I’ve always been impressed with the friendliness of the staff. However, that wasn’t to be the case here.
My wife and I were headed down I-​74 and I was in dire need of some caffeine, so I we decided to stop. It seemed the entire population of greater Shelbyville decided to stop at the same time. (About 6PM).
Now, I understand… places get busy. You can’t always staff for the unexpected. But one CAN expect the employees to maintain a smile and professional attitude when times get a little tough. That wasn’t the case here. Add to that an employee who dropped what she was doing to chat with a friend who came it, and it was a most unsatisfactory experience.

This Starbucks is great if you’re on your way to Chicago from Cincy. It’s one of the first Starbucks for quite a stretch and is fairly easy to get in and out of. I will say that I’ve had a couple bad experiences here though. As is to be expected, they put their newest employees on the register, but the time i had to wait 15 min for a cup of already coffee which after that 15 Min I had to ask for it. I have also had several good experiences here, but two bad ones in a row in the last month. It is very clean and kept in great shape by the staff.
