I used to not like Denny’s all that much but their new menu’s are much better now. This location also just remodeled the inside a couple months ago, so everything looks nice and clean. Lots of parking in the large parking lot. They’re just off the interstate exit into Shelbyville. Open 24 hours. Mostly American classic foods such as burgers, and their burgers are very nice sized and taste good. The service can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are, mornings they are usually very busy. Good place sit down and eat especially if most other places in town are closed, ha.

Dennys is one of those slice of Americana type places. The Shelbyville Dennys is no different. Often filled with down home folk, truckers, and farmers. Good for non meal time food. Those moments in between breakfast, lunch, and supper. Open 24 hours and 7 days a week. It might seem to have been installed with the town but it really isn’t that old. No rips or holes in the furniture. Décor lost in the 1970s. Service is a bit slow but why come here in a hurry. I like to be here in the wee hours of the night to collect my thoughts or get lost in a memory.

I love this place.
I spend a lot of miles up and down I-​74, and this is a convenient place for me to stop.
I’ve been to other Denny’s around the country, but this one… there’s something special about it. The staff is always friendly, and the food is always prepared well. They even ask how you want your burger done… something I’ve never seen from another Denny’s.
Maybe it’s because it’s in a small town… I’m not sure… but this Denny’s is awesome. :)
