Ok so we didn’t actually eat at Seabird… despite a room full of empty tables, they were«booked» until 9pm.(it was 5pm). So we ate upstairs at their Blue Point Wine and Tapas Bar. It has been almost 5 years since I have been here so this is like a first time review. Since it was Friday night, my husband and I were there with my parents for Friday Night Fish Fry. And boy did they deliver! Their Friday Fish is served family style and it was worth the money! We did not leave hungry. We started with warm bread and butter, hot German potato salad, chunky homemade applesauce and crunchy cole slaw. And then the food came. :) We got a huge plate of deep fried and beer battered lake perch and another huge plate of seasoned fries and potato pancakes. It was a ton of food! My first piece of perch was so yummy… firm, flaky and so good! The next pieces did have small bones still in the fish so that was a bummer to eat but it was all still good. Ok, so the food was good, worth the money. But I also have to touch on the tables. The tables were big and sturdy… but the chair were small and a bit uncomfortable. They were quite snug. But the décor was nice with a large mirror on one wall that made the room look larger and rich dark wood paneling. Overall it was a nice experience. Not a place I would come to regularly but definitely a nice place to go for a special night out with friends and family… or just a loved one for a romantic meal. Oh, and I noticed that when we left an hour or so later, the dining room downstairs at Seabird was busy… but there were still empty tables. Hmmm…
