Lino Ristorante Italiano

Exceptional! 4 of us at there last night and sat outside in the water. The owner was very engaged and both the service and the food were excellent. A nice experience and a real gem.

Lino’s reminds me of Italian restaurants I’ve visited in Chicago or New York. You have an incredibly charming owner who makes a point to talk to you and have a discussion about any and everything. Whenever his wife walks by, he makes it a point to show her some cute gesture of affection. As corny as it may sound, you definitely feel like you’re eating with family. My wife and I enjoyed an appetizer of calamaretti siciliana. The added capers and olives combined with the tomato sauce practically begs you to pair it with a nice light Tuscan.
I enjoyed lasagna as my entrée (always a good barometer) and my wife had the lamb ragu. We both loved our dishes. Unfortunately, too much time has passed to remember the details of the plate — I just remembered being very happy to find such a great restaurant in Sheboygan. I do, however, remember the desserts. Both the mascarpone and the tiramisu were very tasty. I look forward to going back the next time I’m in town.

Just had the most marvelous dinner with Birthday son and girlfriend! The food was spectacular and the service was impeccable. Can’t say enough about Lino and his fantastic ristorante. The fish special was excellent and the lobster fettuccine was as well. Just a delightful evening. So glad that I made the choice of Lino’s for tonight’s dinner, never is there a thing that can be improved upon! Thank you again, Lino!!!

Make sure to have a reservation! We come in at 8:30 with no reservations and the owner was nice enough to give us a table but everything is made form scratch and fresh daily. The atmosphere is amazing the owner will walk around and talk to everyone to give you that at home atmosphere. The service is amazing you will always have fresh bread at your table and never a dirty dish. Make sure you eat at this restaurant when you’re staying in Sheboygan!

Had a lovely dinner with a group of 8 on a Saturday evening after making reservations well in advance. Was greeted warmly by owner and immediately shown to our table. We really felt welcomed and appreciated as customers. The genial owner presented us with a complimentary antipasto platter which highlighted a variety of delectable treats. Saturday night in Wisconsin means old fashions for cocktail of choice. Our drinks were excellent not only in flavor, but garnish as well. Several of us ordered soups which included the special tomato bisque and the white bean fagioli. My tomato bisque was creamy and the perfect consistency yet, I was disappointed in my choice after trying a taste of the fagioli wishing I had ordered that. Our entrees varied from traditional lasagna to seared salmon, and the special risotto with tiger shrimp. Everyone was very happy with the presentation, taste, and proportions of our meals. Sadly, we were too full to try deserts, but maybe next time as I’m certain we’ll be back.
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the fact that we had to hang our coats near the entrance among, over, and under every other diners’ coats. I know it was a minor thing, but was just a little disconcerting to more that a couple of our group. Every other aspect of the restaurant and ambiance was excellent, and I appreciated the personal, friendly, and professional attention from the owner! His demeanor added to our experience of the night.

Hands down, this was the most amazing restaurant experience I’ve had in such a long time. Being in town for business, I asked for a suggestion on great Italian and was certainly pointed in the right direction here at Lino’s! Everything from the ambiance by the fireplace to the open kitchen with the beautiful dishes coming out to Lino and the rest of the staff as well was superb! We had the pleasure of chatting with Lino about his hometown in Italy and enjoyed some Limoncello and great wine. I would, without a doubt, recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic experience.

Lino’s is our favorite restaurant. We have dined in fine restaurants domestically and internationally. Lino’s can match any of the best. In fact, we chose Lino’s to have our wedding reception dinner. Everyone raved about the meal and service.

Such a wonderful spot! Lino is lovely, the food is incredible and a great wine selection! A must visit spot when in town!

It’s close to Blue Harbor and offers good selection of Italian. Fresh Parmesan available on request with olive oil and balsamic for dipping the bread. Calamari was average but didn’t get to try the spicy Sicilian one which I think is the way to go. Being from Chicago, I think I’m spoiled. There is so much really great Italian. My bar is set at La Scarola, Giacomo’s, Bella Vie, and many more that it would be impossible for anything to be really fantastic. That said, it is better than most of the other options within walking distance from the resort and they are very accommodating. The old man is quite a character.

Lino and his staff went out of their way to provide excellent service and fabulous food. I can not say enough how amazing the food tasted! Lino’s has a beautiful location, gorgeous ambiance and friendly staff. Lino made a huge effort to communicate with all the patrons of his store, & even told us some fascinating history of his Italian heritage. We enjoyed it immensely and highly recommend people to check it out! We will absolutely go out of our way to come back here again! (Their red sauce is to die for!)

First visit to Lino’s! We had no idea we lived so close to such an amazing restaurant! From the moment you walk in the door you feel welcome! Had a cocktail before dinner and asked advice from the bartender who recommended the lobster fettuccine! It was amazing! We had calamari for an appetizer and my husband had the veal Marsala! Service was superb! Food was outstanding!
The only small issue we had was the waitress brought her portable credit card scanner and she watches you while you pay! You’re given the option to tip 15 or 20%. Made us feel a little awkward. Next time it’s cash tip!
That being said, I would go back in a heart beat! Secret gem in Sheboygan!

Fabulous place. Coming here for work and since I am used to what Chicago offers (Italian food wise), I did not expect such quality and taste. The ambience is great and service was good as well. I had the daily special of Spinach tortellini with prosciutto and paired with a Chianti. It was fantastic!!! Highly recommend not to miss this place if you are in Sheboyan. Definitely will come back here.

If we lived anywhere near Sheboygan we would be dining at Lino on a regular basis. The owner makes his way around his restaurant, greeting everyone and making sure they are happy with the excellent meals they serve. Many options on the menu from which to choose and everything is made in-​house. I really can’t say enough good about this place. This is Italian food at it’s finest. I seriously doubt you’d find any better in the area!

Highly recommended! Atmosphere was awesome! From appetizer– thinly sliced tenderloin to main meal Lobster linguine & potobella pasta, very delicious. The staff was very friendly. What a memorable anniversary dinner! The view of the river with fishing boats & sailboats sailing down the river was beautiful at sunset. Just wish it was warmer to sit on the patio.

My husband and I have dined at many of the highly rated restaurants in CHI Town and we would definitely with no hesitations give Lino’s Italian Restaurant 5+ stars. If you are looking for an outstanding authentic Italian food this is the place to go.
As we arrived, Lino’s welcome was overwhelming. He warmly greeted us and made sure our request for a specific table/​location was met. The restaurant ambiance was another treat. Beautifully put together and felt very welcoming. The servers were very tentative yet very swift and neat. Let’s talk food now. Everything we ordered bursts with unbelievable flavors we were enjoying every bite as we discover new flavors/​aromas. AMAZING!!! We are definitely going back!!!

Our time at Linos was outstanding!!! The food was superb — caprese was fresh, lobster fettuccine was devine, and the tiramisu delectable! The wine was also wonderful. However the best part of the night was Lino himself. Courteous, delightful, and a true gem, Lino knows how to run a fantastic restaurant!!! He treats his guests as family, showing pictures of his past and telling stories of growing up in Positano. Truly a gem of a man!!! Will be going back tomorrow night for another amazing meal!

This is a nice upscale Italian Restaurant which just happens to have excellent food and excellent service. It’s situated just off of Lake Michigan. Because of its location you can arrive by car, bike, foot, or yacht. Somebody actually did pull up in a 55′ motor yacht while we were dining.

The meal started with a wonderful antipasti appetizer dish. The mushrooms, vegetables and meats were all delicious. When dinner arrived it was wonderful. I had the Rigatoni Salsiccia e funghi (Rigatoni with sausage and mushrooms). The pasta was perfect.

After sampling the other dishes my party had, it’s easy to give out five stars on this review. Consistently great food across several dishes.

This restaurant is one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. And that includes Little Italy in New York and The Hill in St. Louis. Our server Daniel is fabulous and make a meal extra special. Be sure to try their lobster fettuccine it will blow your mind. In the desert Coppa mascapone is to die for!
