Talk about having everything. We came up here and I forgot to pack the dog leash and harness. I asked the receptionist where I could get one, he referred me to Ken’s. We walked there and they actually had a harness and leash. But the best part was the price. They only charges $ 4 for each. They could have had overpriced stuff since you can only find it in one place but they didn’t. Plus the staff was super friendly and helpful!

One of the worst stores/​markets i have ever been to. We were at the lake for the weekend and stopped at Ken’s to get some batteries for our camera. We got 2 packs, none of them worked, and 2 of them were actually leaking like they had exploded. Sucked we couldn’t take pictures, however it became worse when we got back to Ken’s and they said they do not offer any returns/​exchanges. The clerk and manager we talked to became extremely rude and basically escorted us out of the store.
This all happened about 2 years ago, and needless to say i have never been back and tell everyone to go to Bob’s Shaver Lake Market instead. Here’s a link to the café, the market is right next door:

We stayed at Camp Edison for a week and we always found ourselves at Ken’s Market to replenish ice and/​or pickup more firewood. They also have a good selection (for Shaver anyway) of chilled beer. They have just about everything you forgot to pack. Prices are reasonable.

This is just the kind of place that that has almost everything you could forget on a trip. We started out on a backpack trip, after two nights out, we ended up at a hotel. We needed shampoo, Ken’s had it. We needed directions, the clerk had them and etc. The list goes on.
Easy to find and good hours. Very pleasant staff and plenty of parking.
