We liked the food here and the people here were very pleasant. It is a really small place(6 tables total) and they do mostly take out it seems. Food was good and We’ll be back to try more items in the future. Thanks for reading.

My family and I came here to eat based on other Unilocal reviews. We all took off our coats and hats as we sat down. The lady proceeded to tell us it would be a 45 minute wait as long as we ordered«something simple.» There were only two other people in the restaurant. We promptly left. How can this lady say this nonsense with our three hungry children there? Ridiculous.

I’ve ordered take out and dined in here multiple times and have always had fantastic food and service. This is a family run business and they clearly care about the food that they prepare. I’ve tried many things on the menu and the garlic pepper chicken wings appetizer is unique and definitely a favorite.

My family & I love Far East!!! The owners are super nice! We pretty much only do carry tho. It’s pretty small inside with only a few tables. Our favorite menu items are the sesame chicken, chicken lomein, Kung pao chicken, orange chicken, and the sweet & sour chicken. The egg rolls & cream cheese wontons are great too. We probably should widen out a bit & try something pork, beef or shrimp here!

Very unassuming place, amazing food. Everything I’ve had has been incredible. I’m glad I found this place before I gave up on Asian food in Shakopee.

This is place is fantastic! …we are fortunate to have this restaurant in the southwest metro! Award winning Chinese food, hidden in a strip mall. Some of my favorites are the sesame chicken and the Mongolian beef. Fried rice is awesome too!

This place is stupendous! I frequent several Chinese restaurants and this one is at the top. Had the General Tsos with fried rice and a side of egg rolls. Presentation was excellent and unexpected.

We absolutely love this little take out restaurant. The kung pao chicken and sesame chicken are our favorite dishes! Maria is one of the owners who works up front, she is always so sweet. She and her husband Peter owned Princess Garden restaurant in St. Paul for over 27 years, and also Far East on France Ave in Mpls and their experience shows in their food.

I don’t get how everybody let me down on this one. 4.5 stars is a joke. Im conflicted on a 2 or 3 star. Started with potstickers and egg rolls. Pretty standard deal, give both a Shakopee adjusted 7⁄10. Whomever was giving the potstickers a 10⁄10 must have had an empty stomach with a couple crazy pills for an appetizer or maybe they ate lava recently that rendered all taste buds useless. Also had the Kung Pao chicken as recommended by others. Another disappointment 6⁄10. I’m cool with subtle flavor but this missed the mark for me. Cashew chicken was a little better 7⁄10. Still under whelmed. Forget about the chicken lo mein 5⁄10. Buy some ramen noodles and throw in a couple chicken nuggets if you want a forgettable similar dish. Try Phở 83 a couple miles south, or Spice Thai a couple miles to the east instead. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

First time ordering Chinese takeout anywhere in shakopee since I moved, I picked Far East because of their great reviews and I was very happy I did! The service was quick and family who owns was friendly. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and it was exactly how I like it. Some places give you battered chicken pieces with only a red sauce in a separate container(which I find to be disgusting) BUT this place cooked the sauce and added carrots and pineapple all together, which I’m sure is how sweet and sour chicken is suppose to be! Delicious! Will come back in the future.

Ah, what a hidden gem! I have driven past this place quite a few times, but never had the courage to check it out. Well, until today. The restaurant is small, but very clean(I mean, it’s a Chinese take-out!). There are about six tables and a stack of take-out menus. I ordered the sesame chicken lunch special with cream cheese wontons and egg fried rice. My first bite into the season chicken made me crave for a second one! Unlike most Chinese take-out sesame chickens, this one was by far my favorite. There was just the right amount of sauce, the chicken was crispy golden on the outside, and soft in the inside. The egg fried rice was alright. There seemed to be less oil content and somewhat dry. The cream cheese wontons were crispy and delicious, but the sweet and sour sauce tasted like pure sugar(ick!). A quick wrap-up… Pros: –Quick service(about 5 min. wait) –Inexpensive(Under $ 10, lunch special around $ 7) –Not drenched in oil like other Chinese take-out restaurants –Clean and tidy space –Food comes out hot and fresh –Sesame chicken = two thumbs up! Cons: –Sweet and sour sauce is TOO sweet –Fried rice is dry(some might like it!) –There is a difference in size when ordering take-out and dine-in(take-out contains more food, dine-in is less food) Overall, a pretty decent place for a quick lunch. I will definitely be coming back for their sesame chicken!

Exceptional food, pleasant atmosphere and the owners are wonderful. The wife remembers us every time and knows exactly what we want. She even made a dish for my son when it wasn’t on the menu. Once you start you will be back often!

1st time dinner for me &2nd for my wife, and we were happy. For no-frills dining(w/6 small tables, it’s mostly take-out), I would certainly be back. Service by the friendly lady was adequate, but some may say slow(she works dine-in & T. O. alone). Hot & sour soup was pretty good — could’ve been more sour. House Lo Mein was just outstanding. Lite & thin noodles. Szechwan beef was tasty. Come and check it out, but take out to find atmosphere & décor in your own home!

Delicious sesame chicken lunch combo for a great price. The chicken is white meat and is not rubbery! Have ordered a couple times and consistently great! Thanks for great service and food!

Extremely good sesame chicken and side if fried rice! The egg drop soup was ok but nothing special. I was very impressed by how the sesame chicken tasted and was nicely battered and not too salty. The lady working there was so friendly and wonderful I will definitely go back. The servings are very generous! The other reviews are true and it really is great! I will definitely be back and can’t wait to try more things from their menu.

Great family owned restaurant in Shakopee. I was there on business and was craving some somewhat authentic Chinese food. This place is a good blend of Chinese-American style cuisine. The food is fresh, the owners are friendly, lunch specials are great. I will be back if I’m ever in town again.
