We have been going here for years. We love Fongs! This past weekend we had my parents anniversary party at the event center of Fongs with 50 people in attendance. It was perfect! Leo & Cindy are great & so accommodating. Everyone was commenting how wonderful the place was. The food is great & the service was fabulous! Everyone was so helpful setting up. If you need to plan an event you must check out this place. The prices are so reasonable as well! Everything was flawless!

I have been a fan of this place since it opened! Everything always tastes so fresh and delicious! I usually get the Hot Pepper Beef medium spice. My favorite appetizers are the cream cheese puffs, potstickers, and the asian chicken lettuce wraps — that’s big enough to eat as a meal by itself. I’ve had the lunch buffet on a couple occasions and it’s well worth the visit. Whether you eat in or dine out, Fong’s is a must do in Prior Lake.

Good food, especially their sweet and sour chicken or pork and their cream cheese wantons. Prices are a little high for dinner, but lunch specials are reasonable.

Fong’s opened at 11:00am, we arrived at 11:30am for lunch. We asked to sit in the bar area which seemed to perturb the employee that wanted us to sit in the dining area. My husband asked to see the lunch menu and the employee pressured us in ordering the lunch buffet for $ 8.95. I mentioned to the employee the price on the Fong’s website shows $ 7.95 for the buffet, his response was the prices went up. The employee slid the menus across the table to us and walked away. He didn’t offer us drinks so I asked before he disappeared into the kitchen again. We ended up getting the buffet, every item that was suppose to be hot was barely warm to cold in temperature. The lemon chicken was tough. It was a very disappointing lunch. The employee/server Hieu was rude and one of worst servers I have ever had.

The décor is right out of a classic 70s Chinese restaurant, which is kind of charming in a retro kind of way. It was clean and moderately busy for a week night. The staff was very polite and knowledgable about the menu. I don’t like it when the server is constantly checking in, and these guys did a great job of keeping their distance. It took a little longer than expected for the food, but it was presented nicely and hot. The noodles were fantastic and everything else– chicken, vegetables, were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The only issue I had was the prices. They seemed awfully high. Super Dragon up the road has takeout of the same caliber for half the price. Worth checking out though, just be prepared to pay for it.

We’ll never go again. My husband and I thought we’d give this place a try considering the parking lot is always full whenever we drive pass it. We regretfully choose the worse time to try this place by taking my aunt and uncle(visiting from out of town), to this place. Total bad impression of Minnesota’s asian cusine. AND my uncle is a great cook, so that was more embrassing. We ordered seafood delight, house fried rice, chicken lomein, and chicken peapods. The seafood delight had a few pieces of shrimp and squid. You can immediately tasted frozen seafood. The rest were water chestnuts, celery and broccoli and extremely starched out sauce. Soy sauce drenched day-old rice for the fried rice(hence the rice was hard), Lomein had little to no flavor. The only thing decent was the chicken peapods, but even that wasn’t great. TASTE, PORTIONS and PRESENTATION did not do justice for the price we paid. Each dish you’re averaging at $ 14. We were better off at Panda Express. The waiter wasn’t very knowledgeable about their menu, however the HOST(probably the owners) were VERY pleasant. Without good food, the pleasant service means nothing. We should have stuck with our gut feeling and the crowd they’re catering to. Observing their clientel, this would be considered luxury dinning away from LeAnn Chins.

Love this place. Fongs family has been in business in Minnesota for 2 generations and they have great Chinese food. The pickup is really fast, I had to pick up food for 12 people and it was ready in 15 minutes and everybody loved it. Plus it makes great leftovers.

Over priced and overall just not very good. My family and I used to eat at this place ALL the time growing up as a kid, but over the years we just stopped going here altogether. The food went down in quality and the prices are outrageously high. Bring back the good food and lower the prices a little bit. Until then, pass.

Fong’s is my teenage daughter’s favorite place to go. I don’t mind because we get great food, quick seating and attentive customer service. They are very willing to adjust meals as desired too.

We are regulars here. I suggest the 5 spice wings and Hong Kong shrimp They will add spice according to your wishes with almost every dish. So make it your way!

I was really craving so good Asian cuisine so I went the Fongs. Getting food from this place was the worst thing I could have done. Don’t eat here if your hungry because it will ruin your appetite. I ordered the wings and they were poorly seasoned and cold. The fried rice was rice and soy sauce. If you want authentic this is not the place to go.

The sauces they use do not taste Asian! They are heavy and thick. I am not sure what I was tasting. It tasted like a heavy Worcestershire sauce, yuck. My daughter was really displeased. I tried Wong’s a few years ago and then it was not good. It is NOT like the food at David Fongs in Bloomington. I would not recommend Fong’s in Prior Lake. The Restaurant is clean and appealing but the food needs help so it tastes more like Asian food.

I’m not very impressed with their food. My wife and I got take out last night, and everything tasted the same. We got sesame chicken, fried rice, butterfly shrimp, and cream cheese wantons. The seasoning for the chicken and fried rice was nearly identical and not very appetizing. The butterfly shrimp was thickly breaded, so you could barely taste the shrimp.

Nice, clean place overall. The food however wasn’t that good. The service is great and there is plenty of seating. I would consider going somewhere else before trying this place if you are looking for good Chinese food.

If you’re in the area and you don’t know what meal to try, order their Sweet and Sour Chicken. THEEBEST Sweet and Sour Chicken that I ever had! The service was great and people who work there is highly friendly.

Okay, do yourself a favor and drive in the complete opposite direction of this place! I would pick food court Chinese over this place and I’m not a fan of food courts by any stretch. I gave in to trying this place because the weather out told me not to drive too far from home. However, it would be worth the drive through hail and sleet, if I really craved Chinese again, to head to another location. The fried rice was not fried, just oily. The«spicy» chicken was bland, the beef dish was mostly bell peppers, and the tea… well, it wasn’t even tea, just weird tasting hot water. Our community deserves better!
