It seems to me that the quality at Amigos has been declining over the years. The food tastes less fresh, the prices are higher and some of the best menu items are gone or simplified. Now with the vastly superior (read better, faster, cheaper and serves alcohol) La Carreta in town, Amigos has become largely irrelevant unless you absolutely must drive through and absolutely must eat «Mexican» food. Otherwise take the time to go somewhere else.

How to explain Amigos. it’s Mexican. Kinda. You get cinnamon dusted chips when you order. You can get glazed doughnuts. And, you can get burgers from Kings Classic. Don’t pass up the super friendly staff passing around the mints during your meal. It’s a staple stop when I
