Do not read this review if you can’t handle the truth! Two years and another unpleasant experience with this florist. This florist ruined yet another Mother’s Day. My husband and son were out of town for a hockey tournament and my husband used Teleflora to send me flowers. Unbeknownst to him, Seminole Garden Florist is in their network. So the flowers were to be delivered on 5⁄9 and my husband paid extra, $ 23.99, for this privilege, On 5/8, my husband received a phone call from Teleflora because the florist did not have the purple tulips that my husband ordered for $ 72.95. They asked if yellow tulips were OK and my husband said yes. About 12 hours later, Teleflora called back and this florist no longer had yellow tulips so would it be OK if the talented and creative floral designers at this floral shop made a comparable, lovely arrangement in lieu of tulips for the same amount of money. Being out of town and not having any options other than to trust Tekeflora. Again, he didn’t realize it was Seminole Garden Florists otherwise he would have canceled the order. So now it’s Monday, 5/11, and I still haven’t gotten my Mother’s Day flowers. My husband called Teleflora and they seemed surprised. Put him on hold, there was some sort of confusion at the florist and I would get my flowers some time today. At 6:03, my husband got an email that my flowers were hand delivered to me. He called me to ask how they were. I dunno. I’m sitting in a hockey arena 15 miles away. At 7:13, I received a phone call from the delivery person saying they left my flowers in the lobby. I say, you’re 2 days late. The delivery person said they were extremely busy. I ask her if she thinks it’s OK to deliver flowers the day after Mother’s Day. We did our best, she says. At 7:28, I get another call from the florist saying they left my flowers in the lobby of my building. Again, I ask why they’re 2 days late. Circumstances beyond our control. I tell them how hurt and disappointed I am that they couldn’t manage a delivery for Mother’s Day. They tell me they appreciate my patience and hang up on me. Looked at the attached photos I posted. In lieu 2 dozen tulips, I got a dozen carnations, 2 roses, some flowery stalks and a boatload of leftover greenery. A picture says a 1000 words. Look at the photos, I dare you. Look at the attached piece of garbage flowers that I got. In my honest opinion, I feel as though I got an arrangement of every left over flower and greenery shoved into a vase. It certainly isn’t worth $ 72.95 plus $ 23.99 for special delivery. I feel so special… NOT. I feel ripped off. It’s not to say that on a slow day that this florist may do a marginally good job. They probably should not be handling any major holiday like Mother’s Day.

I went into this shop to get a quote on flowers for an event, since it is right around the corner from my house. I was looking for a quote on a coral colored rose and then bunches of regular white daisies. When I inquired how much each rose would be, it was $ 3 a stem. When I asked how much the daisies would be it was $ 3 a stem. I am no flower expert, but they were grossly overpriced. I could almost understand the price for the roses, but $ 3 a stem for regular white daisies, no way! Needless to say, I went to my other florist I usually frequent, the Flower Centre of St. Pete and paid ½ the price I was quoted here. Don’t waste your time unless you want to pay an exorbitant amount of money.

I’ve been in te store once. It’s small and crowded and the woman there was kinda rude. But, the items I wanted were on sale, so for what I needed and left. I’ve called them twice on the phone– one to order and another to inquire about an item and its price. Both times customer service was lacking :(. I’m not sure if I’ll use them again.

Seminole Garden Florist was a lifesaver! We ordered a balloon bouquet with an important message from another florist which was supposed to be delivered before noon to my mother-in-law’s work. At 1pm we had tipped her off that something was coming, so when her surprise hadn’t arrived at 5:30pm and the florist told me they couldn’t fulfill the order til the next day she was disappointed and I was beside myself. What were the odds I could find a florist open at 5:30pm who would deliver that night? When I called Seminole Garden the lady was kind, understanding and happy to help. The price was good, she accurately wrote down our lengthy message and she got the balloons to my mother-in-law’s house(in Seminole) within less than an hour! We were so relieved and thankful that Seminole Garden was there to help us have a happy ending to a very stressful day(and my mother-in-law absolutely loved the balloon bouquet/message)!!!

I was sending flowers to my Mom for her 65th birthday and ordered a plant arrangement on-line through Seminole Garden Florist. I ordered a «Stylish Plant Assortment — T106−3A» with a nice modern, simple, NON-wicker basket. While I understand there may be need for some substitution, she was delivered a wicker basket. This is unacceptable, since I paid $ 20+ more for a non-wicker basket arrangement. Pat, the owner, who was very friendly, explained she doesn’t have the non-wicker planter available… then I asked why is it on your website as a selection. There was no real answer. She did offer to send a different planter, but it’s not worth the trouble. Instead, I wish they would remove that option from their website and have NOT charged me $ 70+ where similar wicker baskets were $ 20 less. My lesson learned, don’t trust a website for the item delivered or call to confirm they have the item available. Very disappointing.

My dear cousin died December 8th after a lengthy battle and I wanted to send something live to her daughter. I don’t like dead flowers. I looked up Seminole Garden as they are right around the corner and found the perfect combo of white hypoestes, green dieffenbachia, spathiphyllum, ficus and Boston fern in a clay pot for under $ 50 on line. So I drove over and a young woman got up from her floral arrangement to help. I told her my desire to have the ‘Serene Retreat’ as advertised in their catalogue. «Is that another floral shop?» she asked quite naively. «Uh, no, you carry this product.» «I don’t think we have it» She pulled up their web site and I told her to look under ‘sympathy’ Lo and behold, there it was. She then called the owner, Pat Matthews, over and Pat went right to town getting my order down. I even got next day shipping for only $ 7! Perhaps the girl was new. I couldn’t give the fifth star because of her lack of knowledge of the products they carry.
