Depends on what your order, we go there a lot and have learned what to get and what not to get. I had an omelet one time it would have tasted better had there not been so much grease soaking around the omelet, their specials aren’t to bad depends on what they have that day. Waitresses a few are really friendly most not though, atmosphere is sorta country, casual. They do have some great hamburgers again though depends on what type if they are going to be too greasy. They have a senior menu also. I had a fish dinner there again very greasy, it reminds me of like a truck stop restaurant. My husband loves their liver and onions, if I stay with a sandwich they are pretty good size and not greasy. All depends on what you order and which cook is on duty one gives more food then the other one does. All around good cooking.

this review is not based on the food its based on the wait staff, the woman who seem s to be in charge is unbelievably rude always has the attitude that she is being bothered this is almost every time i come in. every once in awhile she is semi friendly which in itself is scary because i dont think it is a normal way for her to behave. the other waitresses seem to always be on edge, the only really friendly helpful people are james the busser and a tall girl also a busser. took a long time to learn my lesson but will never come back

We stopped for breakfast on our roadtrip to Vegas. The mapquest directed us to the frontage road 5 miles before floral ave.– not sure why, there’s an exit off 99 right at floral. Great food. Service is ok, we didn’t have any issues. But they aren’t overly friendly. The portions are huge, and the food is nicely cooked… except the hash browns which were a warm pile of oily potatoes. The décor is a solid mid 80s, but the place appears to be clean and favorited by locals. I would recommend a stop here.

We stop here a couple times a year when we pass through. The food is good but the service is poor. The staff stands around talking when they should be taking care of customers or cleaning. The bathroom hasn’t been really clean in a long time. The place is really dirty. I’m going to try it one more time in hopes they read this and try to change their tune.

I stopped at McCoy’s Coffee Shop with my aunt on the way to a football game. At first I was a bit hesitant to pull over because this place was right off of the old 99 near some extra sketch motels. I think I’ve seen one too man horror films because I kept thinking a man with a chainsaw was going to pick us off at any moment. Yet I threw caution to the wind and decided to dine at this dated little dinner anyhow. As cliché as it my be the old saying, «never judge a book by it’s cover,» definitely applies to McCoy’s Coffee Shop. The service was excellent, the food was great and my overall dinning experience was positive. What’s even better is that they serve breakfast all day. This was definitely my type of dinner. I order pancakes, ham, bacon, hash browns and eggs. I figured that since this dinner had a bit of an old time charm why not partake in an old school all-american breakfast? The food was superb. My hash brown was a nice and golden on the outside with the hash in the center being cooked to perfection. The ham reminded me of the ham Steaks that my great grandma used to make and the pancakes were fluffy and had real country charm. The portions we very generous and for an affordable price. The meal for both my aunt and I came out to about $ 15 dollars. In sum I’d have to say that I truly enjoyed my experience at McCoy’s Coffee Shop. You should not let the esthetic appearance of this place fool you because you will certainly experience a great all-american breakfast if you just give this place a shot.

The bathrooms are disgusting and the service was horrible, we left because no one came to take our order after they sat us, while the table next to us kept getting their drinks refilled because they had messed up their order. we watched everyone one else get served around us, also another waitress was on her phone eating by the register, it only looked like the poor bus boy was the only one working today. We Will never go there again! First horrible impression.

We came here for Breakfast on a Sunday morning. The food was delicious, basic country breakfast fair, served quickly but friendly servers. The fruit cup had an actual fruit variety, not just a bunch of melon and a few bananas. Rating five stars based on the surrounding available eateries. Highly recommended!

Good breakfast spot! Huge portions, good prices. Waitress was nice. Service was fast. We ordered: Special ham and eggs 4.99. Comes with 2 eggs, big piece of ham, hash browns and biscuits and gravy! And my coffee. Huge plate for 4.99! Husband got the mushroom omelette which also came with hash browns and instead of toast he ordered 1 pancake(the pancake was bigger than his face). Boys ordered the French toast plate which was also huge! 3 big thick slices of French toast and hash browns with orange juice. And my little guy ordered the Mickey Mouse kid plate, also big. 2 big Mickey Mouse pancakes and instead of egg he got double sausage with a hot chocolate. We took leftovers for a whole other person! Paid about $ 35. We will definitely stop here again on our way home.

Meh. The food is alright, basic diner food. Service is pretty bad, employees gossiping right in front of customers. The real reason it is only getting three stars is because it seems like every glass they have is extremely filthy. I only noticed this when a friend ordered milk, I could seriously see the grime covering the cup. They either need a new dish washer or a different type of cup.

Best steak and baked potato! I don’t know where they source their steak. But, it was tender and perfect medium rare! The staff are lovely and responsive. I had their ice cream sundae on another visit and it was delicious! Classic coffee shop, nostalgic.

Great place. Don’t know why I’ve never stopped here. Good portions, great price and excellent service. I ended up here after a bad experience at Al’s Café in Fresno. No need to return to that place.

Great place to get your fix of breakfast. They always have specials going on and are always super friendly. I’ve been here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and they are serving some good food. The pancakes are awesome and the garlic chicken is great for dinner. They are family friendly and great for large parties

The customer service was great but the cleanliness and food was terrible. Our food was extremely greasy and cold and the light fixtures above everyones head was SO dusty that it was falling into our food. Absolutely disgusting. And EVERY light fixture hadnt been dusted in a long time, so personally that makes me really mad since they are right above every table. Of anything, those should be cleaned every night!

Formerly brooks ranch This place has Been a Selma staple as long as I’ve been alive. Breakfast on weekends is usually packed, but you won’t wait terribly long. Full assortment of meals — all hearty and tasty. I would avoid the crepes as the syrup is typical Sysco fare, but the«okie eggs Benedict»(not eggs Benedict) is pretty much the bees knees.

To me, Breakfast is one of those meals that is taken for granted. Yes, for years while growing up we have been told that it’s the most important meal of the day. Is it really? I tend to scoff at that notion. I mean, how can a bowl of cereal or oatmeal and a waffle be so important? I guess with most people’s busy schedules it’s easy to feel that way when every morning you settle for a granola bar or a trip to Starbucks on your way to work. So, when my wife and I decided to stop by McCoy’s in Selma for breakfast I wasn’t expecting too much. To walk into the place you could swear that you just came out of Bill and Ted’s time machine and into the 1980’s.(For those of you who don’t understand that reference, look up Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure on Netflix and prepare to laugh) The restaurant could benefit from an upgrade to the 21st Century. But, I’m not one to judge a place based on its looks, I’m more concerned with the substance within its doors. We were seated within about 5 minutes even though it was easy to tell the place was incredibly busy. Our drink orders were taken before we even sat down and I had a steaming cup of coffee in front of me before I even got comfortable in my booth. Awesome. The menu offered a diverse selection of typical breakfast staples. Waffles, French Toast, Egg Dishes and Pancakes. I chose Grandpa’s Big Breakfast.(½ pound of ham, 3 eggs, hashbrowns, and a gigantic plate of Biscuits and gravy) Now before I continue telling you about my meal, let me tell you that another reason I don’t do breakfast often is the eggs. I am SUPER picky about eggs. Ever notice that no one ever makes them as good as you do? They cant ever get the eggs right! One restaurants version of over medium eggs is not the same as another restaurants. I am a firm believer that the restaurant is only as good as the cook behind the counter is at making eggs. And… if that is the rule to live by, then McCoy’s has hit a home run because, my eggs were PERFECT. The plates at McCoy’s are plentiful and affordable. My plate was about $ 8.00, and I couldn’t eat it all. My wife ordered the French Toast plate for $ 7.00 and was presented with more food than maybe an NFL offensive lineman could eat. To say the restaurant is generous with its portions is an understatement. Everything was well seasoned and tasted great. The entire breakfast time, the coffee flowed freely and often. Our cups never had a chance to cool down. Every table is the restaurant was full and yet we were never forgotten in the rush of things. Always had someone checking on us to ensure we were enjoying our breakfast. At the end, my wife and I walked out full and satisfied, and best of all my wallet wasn’t suffering from a sudden and major weight loss from the amount of money it just lost. My views about breakfast may have shifted a little. If my breakfast could be this good everytime I may have to upgrade it on my meal hierarchy. Can’t wait to go back. It’s worth the trip back in time to the 80’s to have a good breakfast.

Little mom and pop restaurant located in Selma, Ca. There wasn’t really much to choose from in a small town. Food was average(it wasn’t worth taking a picture). Service was average. It was busy when we stopped in so our server was doing the best she could. Prices were average, but the food servings were huge. No wonder America is overweight. If you’re looking for a spot to grub and don’t want to drive all the way to Fresno, then stop by.

Excellent American dishes with great size portions. I had a good breakfast meal at this local restaurant that I always seem to pass-by with no thought of going. But this morning was different and finally went in. Okay the place had a old school diner feel to it, kinda small but not too small place. Everything is viewable even the cooks(which I like). It was super busy this Sunday morning and kinda hectic for all the staff. I decided to order a classic dish of Country Fried Steak with Biscuits & Gravy. It was delicious and hearty… Not to mention the portion was served well. This is a great local restaurant but my problem was the waitresses were not at the top of their game, they were acting unprofessionally and almost like spoiled brats with their eye rolling and attitude when you ask them something or coming in the restaurant. But overall is 4.0 stars and will come again soon.
