I enjoy eating here. I particularly like the«Lorelei» salad — wild organic greens & romaine lettuce with carmelized walnuts, gorgonzola cheese and green apples in a champagne-citrus vinaigrette. I also like the butternut squash ravioli with grilled asparagus in a lemon saffron cream sauce. Good portions & service.

Wasn’t the best Italian restaurant in the world. I got the pesto fusili pasta, which was runnier than regular pesto should be. It could be that i like pesto to stick to the pasta instead of being runny, I have had better at Mary’s Pizza.

I’ve only been to Pasta Bella once before, so I can’t judge too harshly. I got a pesto pasta with chicken and tomatoes. The pesto wasn’t too exicting, which was disapointing. The chicken was moist and the tomatoes tasted fresh. But all together, the dish tasted like something I could of made at home in 30 min. I got an italian soda also and they put cream in theirs which is one of my favorite things ever! The service wasn’t stellar, but it could of been because we were seated outside… I think it is worth trying if you are just craving plain olé’ pasta, but don’t expect to be wowed with anything.

Pasta Bella is a Sebastopol gem! I cannot give enough praise to this wonderful local restaurant. I’ve never eaten in house but every time I order my food to go it is ready very fast and perfect every time. They even have a drive through if you’re in a hurry you can call in your order and pick it up quick. My favorite is the Mila salad which is a delicious salad with a caeser vinaigrette. I’ve also had some pasta dishes here that were amazing as well. I always get my boyfriend the club sandwich which is served on house baked focaccia. If you eat here you will not be disappointed! i

I love this place. It has my favorite sandwich of all time, the club starelli… In fact, I get this sandwich almost every single time I go here, so I cant comment extensively on the rest of the menu, but i have had the Kris Richardson, a Butternut Squash Ravioli, which was extremely creamy and delicious… Ive also had a few bites off my Girlfriend’s plates and its always super tasty. everything is so fresh and local. Definitely come by for lunch or dinner you wont be disappointing… Oh yeah they also have a drive up window for picking up your take-out which is super rad…

Pasta Bella has gone through many menu and owner changes over the years. Still a great spot to stop and get Italian food in Sebastopol say versus Mary’s. Nice people, okay food.

This place is a Celiac’s dream… I absolutely love coming here, despite that I always eat too much here. You can’t help it!!! Northbay Celiacs actually had one of our meetings here, and we were allowed to try a selection of the pastas and a gluten free lasagna, as well as a gluten free lemon dessert that was out of this world. My favorite dish is the prawn pasta… so yummy, and whenever I get it, everyone around me remarks that it smells and looks so good, they want to get it next time.

We started going to Pasta Bella in about 2002. We were more or less regular customers. Then, the place was sold to some dude who apparently just wanted to flip the place. Things went seriously down hill under this guy. We stopped going there. It was then sold to the current owners, and things seemed to be looking up again. Been going to Pasta Bella almost once a week for several year under the current ownership. We enjoy the food, and the service has always been good. Unfortunately, the last time we went there, we were told by the staff at that they will be closing on July 15th2011.

Just discovered this gem of a restaurant a few weeks back. Terrific selection of salads & pastas, with options for side salads & add-ons of chicken/seafood on pretty much every entrée. Very nice to feature local wines, though was kinda put off by wine served in a tumbler, especially since the table next to us managed to get theirs served in a bonafide wine glass. What’s the deal? Only special people get the good glassware? I didn’t like that at all. Tumbler fine for chianti, not for quality Hook & Ladder pinot. Enjoyed a pesto pasta with fresh tomatoes & a lovely salad loaded with gorgonzola & candied walnuts. Very generous(almost too much) portions. Started with an app. of risotto cakes topped with parmesan. Delicious. Service was very attentive, though almost too quick. I almost felt rushed. Nice artsy feel to the place, with very friendly servers. I love the way so much of the product is local — Taylor Maid, Screamin’ Mimis, Anjelica’s & the aforementioned wine list. I’ll be back soon.

I’m not a HUGE fan of their overall menu, but I LOVE the sandwiches! Pricey, yes. Huge, yes. Delicious? ABSOLUTELY. I have tried almost all of them, and they are all tasty. Always have half of it left for the next day. The salads are pretty good, too.(I’m a fan of the mixed greens, as opposed to iceburg or romaine-yuck.) The one item I fell in love with but refuse to buy, is the mushroom raviolli with steak, but at 18 bucks, there is no way! I don’t think I’ve ever eaten in the restaurant itself, we generally get it to go through the drive up window, which is convenient to call in and pick up for a quick lunch.

This is my go to place for good pasta. They have a casual dining room, small, but very good, wine selection, and a very nice wait staff. I have been going here for years, and have never had a bad experience.

I and my wife eat hear all the time, I have not had a bad meal yet. Their chicken sandwich is very good and huge, try to eat it all, go on and try. They make some of the best Clam Chowder I have ever had. I find their pastas very good as well. There foods are not for calorie counters the pastas generally have a rich sauce and I don’t even want to know how many calories the clam chowder had. The service can be slow at times.

My boyfriend and I eat here all of the time and its always delicious. Today we ate there for lunch and it was fabulous as always. I got the Lolly no tomatoes and extra chicken, it is one of the best pesto pastas I have ever had. P-bella does something to there sauce that keeps me coming back for more. My boyfriend had the meatball sub which he enjoyed. it was a perfect serving size for lunch, and the sauce comes with roast cloves of garlic unbeatable. If you are in town I would definitely give Pasta Bella a try. The service is great, we have been several times for the last few years and never had a problem.

Okay, I have to say I’ve had much better for the price. Perhaps Chloe’s bistro has ruined me. Lol. Basically the décor of this place is okay. The service is rather lower than okay. Honestly, when my friend ordered green tea they gave him peppermint. Really? There was only one other party in the restaurant, the waitress was obviously NOT new. And it was a sunny Saturday afternoon 2 weeks ago. I ordered the clam soup and anna bella salad. The soup was quite good, though a tiny little cup. And they did have some Tabasco to put in it, though apparently not many people here use the hot sauce because it took them a while to find it. Firstly, everything on the menu has a freakin’ name. It actually took us a really long time to order as newbies to this restaurant because we couldn’t figure out what anything was. Just name the food what it is please! The salad was overpowering at best. At first I couldn’t find anything besides lettuce, all the heavier veggies were at the bottom, like they just slopped the stuff on carelessly in layers. The onion marinated in cheap balsamic were far too tart, and let me tell you I LOVE vinaigrette. I eat my salads almost exclusively with balsamic vinaigrette(I make exceptions for homemade blue cheese). The bell peppers were mushy and slimy. And there was far more spinach than arugula lending a taste imbalance; meaning the arugula just made a spicy imbalance instead of a dominating taste. I have to apologize to my fellow Unilocalers. I am a harsh critic of salads. And let me state, this salad said it had an olive tampenade. There was not a single sliver or crushed piece of olive. How is there a olive tampenade without olives? The feel and the mix of the food felt like they are just trying too hard. More quality ingredients and less«fluff» would make this restaurant do better. My boyfriend got the mako and luna(pesto & oven roasted tomatoes over fusilli) with a salad. The portions for the price were really tiny, and I realize quickly, even after sharing my salad with him if you’re bringing a slightly hungry man, order an appetizer too. Or crap, two entrees. My friend ordered the tofu sandwich, the Patterson. The tofu was really good having tried a piece myself and I’m really picky about tofu. The marinade was very good on this. The foccacia was light and fluffy as it should be and definitely is the star of their sandwiches. The only reason my friend claimed to leave full was because of the immense amount of bread on his sandwich. Reading other reviews I see the clash in high stars and low stars. Firstly this restaurant had two Mexicans running it when we came in. I am not biased in any way about this but they didn’t seem to realize the affinity of true Italian food. This is not to say it was their fault over management but it made it not seem like a true Italian themed restaurant. For a somewhat cheaper price and larger portions I’d rather go to Lococo’s Cucina Rustica. They serve a marvelous olive tampenade that I believe really is just garlic, olives, and olive oil. Basically if you want Americanized over the top(yes, I agree this leans toward a more cafeteria style = read cheaper ingredients) pasta dressed up as Italian food, sure this is good. Trust me, most people can buy their pasta and homemade sauce from any grocer like Safeway and make it better. Really, go ahead and add some chopped things like an herb and veggie and there you go. You’ve made what Pasta Bella makes. And to boot, our server kept mixing up our order. Didn’t know who got what plate, but she was sweet. That on top of giving my friend the wrong tea, sorry, this place has got on my probably not going to return list. It is close to my house though so undoubtedly I’ll give it another shot. I always give a restaurant another chance. I agree, this is a upper wanna-be-style restaurant. But the ingredients and dishes for the price are just not what cuts it generally speaking in Sonoma County. I have to say I totally agree with Kimberly.

I always like eating here. The pesto Bruchetta is wonderful! Whoever says the pasta at the place tastes like cafeteria food must have gone on a bad day because everytime I have eaten here the pasta has been great. It is a little heavy, but still very good. The other thing I like about it is that since I have such a small tummy I almost always take food home, and you know how some places the food is just plain BAD after you reheat it? Well not this one. I found that the pasta was still pretty good the next day for lunch. I have been eating in Sebastopol for a long time, and the old Pasta Bella menu was HUGE with so many more dishes on it, but now I think since they have cut it down, the food has gotten way better.

For a while Sebastopol was sort of becoming the new Forestville — hairy armpits, old ratty buildings, unwarranted snobs and the whole maryann. But to my most welcome surprise, arose this version of Pasta Bella … a very nice place to dine and a super fun atmosphere to gather in! Thomas and I dined at Pasta Bella for the first time tonight. The décor is clean and refreshing, with a hint of … whimsy? Stylishly funky? … I don’t know how to put it exactly … fun metal art hang in the windows, a nice arrangement of tables(inside and out) for 2 to 6 guests and a pretty little bar to dine at. It is very welcoming and tastefully done. VERY clean. I love that part. Our server was a barely pregnant, very nice young lady. As it turned out, we were served by the owner — and she was very hard working and quite decent to the staff. I hate going to a restaurant and finding a lazy owner leaning against the bar with a big attitude, doing nothing. Or worse; snapping at the help. But I digress … Thomas had the special, which was a beautiful piece of Salmon(I wish I’d paid more attention to exactly what was on the plate before we gobbled it down!) and I had fettuccine in a cream tomato sauce with prawns(… you know me and seafood). Both meals were prepared excellent and mouth wateringly DELICIOUS! FABULOUS! Two full entrees and drinks came to a minimal $ 37. Now that’s a deal. It’s a really fine place to take out-of-towners; it impresses without egregious pomp and the food is superb. We will be back.

I am obsessed with this place. The Kelly Hamby(salmon apsaragus penne in a lemon cream caper sauce) UM hello!!! Seriously, this place is so good. It is really all about the pasta, but the burger is damn good too. Do your taste buds a serious favor and check this place out… often!
