This restaurant never disappoints. Excellent prices, consistent quality. They always come through when I need a quick lunch take out and last week I ordered food for 12 people for our business meeting and it was awesome!

Returned to this restaurant twice since my last review. Again they were all that was open and in my area. The food was good on the first return visit. On my most recent visit it was VERYVERY good! Maybe I just caught them in bad nights before. Glad I gave them another try. Hope the improvement keeps up.

Went for lunch today and food was barely edible. Potstickers dough too thick and not cooked enough, beef in mongolian beef was awful – very tough and fatty and chicken in basil chicken had weird seasoning. We were all very hungry so we ate the food, but I won’t go back. There is far better Chinese food in Sebastopol at Eight or Formosa at comparable price. The food was not fresh and the condiment holders were not clean.

It pains me to write this but I feel I must report that Bamboo’s standards may be slipping a bit. Last time I visited, I had a very sub par experience and I’m truly hoping it will not become their new norm. To begin with, I was not offered anything to drink and had to request a water… Their service has never been the greatest but that is a huge oversight. When it arrived, my crispy Sichuan eggplant was not at all like its usual delicious self. It tasted as if it had been drenched in vinegar, so much so that it made my mouth pucker. That sauce is usually so good I am tempted to lick my plate, so naturally I was disappointed. It wasn’t as crispy as usual either. In retrospect, I definitely should have sent it back but the servers already did not seem pleased that I was there so near to closing time and it probably would have been more trouble than it was worth. The portions have also shrunk significantly. Their lunch special used to fill me up and then some– this time I left hungry. I really am hoping against hope that this was a one time thing, that the chef was just having an off day or something. Also, the restaurant was FREEZING cold, not at all a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere to eat in. I am not writing this to be a whiny jerk, Bamboo. I’ve always loved your food and I’m hoping you’ll be around for years to come, and to that end, I’m just pointing out some things you might want to work on.

Would give it a two except for the fact that I found a hair in the rice.(Which is a bit dry btw). Wouldn’t recommend it. I recommend making the drive to downtown Santa Rosa and checking out ting hau on fourth street. They have amazing food. Especially the Kung pao shrimp.

Takeout was good and fairly priced for Sebastopol. We had mushu vegetables with tofu, crispy eggplant(yum!) and tofu wonton soup. And they did a side of steamed tofu for our kids. We’ll go back for sure!(It takes a lot to get a 5 outta me-gotta be some service involved for that!)

I’m picky and enjoy food and I must say since the last place shit down… Bamboo classics has brought this little shop in Sebastopol back to life. Eight serving the same type of food right up the road is awful made me sick for 5 days two times in one month on separate occasions. I can eat your amazing food three days after I bought it! quality can’t be contested. Keep it up

This was my first time trying this place out and it was quite good! This is a great place when you are in the mood for some satisfying Chinese food! Orange chicken was great and so was the fried rice. Can’t wait to try out their potstickers next time. The lady that took our order on the phone was friendly. I ordered take out so can’t really judge the dining experience but Overall the food was good. will be back for more!

First time having dinner here. My wife found a pill capsule in its wrapper in our spring roll. We were completely shocked. Something like this should never happen. We showed it to the staff, they said they were sorry and walked off with the plate. After looking up what kind of pill it was, because the label was in tack, it was a prescription migraine med. They took off the cost of the egg roll. Really,? But didn’t show concern or comp the meal. I will NEVER go back, this was really scary and who knows what else they let get lost in there food or let alone what hygiene practice they have on place.

I really enjoyed the fried sweet n sour eggplant, combined with broccoli and ginger and garlic with brown rice yummers with a tad of hot chilie paste ! We have eatin there 5 x and a couple of the the times the dishes we ate didn’t come together, and service seemed sucky cause we came in and a family came in after us and got there meal before us and that was weird but over all I’ve will go back and just direct the servers more I Lo but I need to say TASTESUPERGREATLOVETHISFOOD !!!

I’ve never really liked this place because of the poor service, but after they added a $ 3 tip to my takeout bill without my approval after I left, I will never go back.

I’ve found my new favorite Chinese Restaurant! I came in with my family for dinner the other night. It was pretty crowded and their togo orders were piled up. The service was great and the food was so worth it! I ordered their Homemade Pork Potstickers probably the best pot stickers I’ve ever had. The Chow Fun and Walnut Prawns were also amazing! Everything was fresh delicious and flavorful! We will definitely be coming back!

The food was tasty and serve hot. I don’t think I would eat in restaurant again service was so so and the bathroom smelled like sewer water maybe from floor drain but you could smell it at tables close to bathroom. Take worth it

Food poisoning! Don’t eat here! Food is rancid and kitchen is filthy. Please save yourself the vomit and go somewhere else. Unfortunately not many good options for Chinese in Sebastopol. But steer clear of this horrible restaurant.

My first visit here was OK, nothing special but not bad. I got the Mongolian beef that time. Nothing to write home about, but cheap enough. The next time, though, I found that the quality of some of the dishes here is not far above Panda Express. It is not real Chinese food, merely watered-down, deep fried Americanized crap. Maybe that’s what people want, so if that’s what you like, go for it. The sichuan eggplant was not that dish at all, not even remotely(coming from someone who enjoys cooking sichuan food). No sichuan pepper, no chili, no ginger, but instead a sickly-sweet sauce over deep-fried overcooked eggplant(I can only assume it was eggplant based on the name of the dish, as it had no taste or texture). The meager amount I could manage to eat made me nauseous and ill. In their favor, the hot & sour soup is good, the tea is good. Service is brisk & no-nonsense, not chatty. So the star can be for that.

This place is pretty good! I’m happy that there is finally at least one option for Chinese in west county, and it’s not bad. It’s nothing to write home about, but I’ve had take out from here twice now and both me and my picky eater partner liked it. I’ll probably become a regular.

I wasn’t feeling good so I called in an order for some takeout soup and had my honey pick it up. I always like hot and sour soup when I have a cold! The soup was amazing and I loved the large chunks of tofu and mushrooms in it.(I hate mushrooms so much so it is very convenient that the chunks were large enough to weed out.) I also ordered wonton soup because I can just never decide which I want so why not? The wontons were delicious and both soups kept for days in the fridge and tasted great reheated. The pork fried rice I got my husband was great as well. They even added some crab Rangoon on the house! You sure know how to get me hooked bamboo!

So happy to have a decent Chinese restaurant in Sebastopol! This place used to be a noodle house and when my back was turned it morphed into strictly Chinese. We came here on a Saturday evening and were quickly seated and served. The food was good — huge portions! The service was… OK. I’m going to take it as they were in a hurry to close because we did get there about an hour before closing. While we were the only people seated in the restaurant, at least half a dozen people came in for takeout… I have a feeling we will be doing that in the near future! Will definitely try this place again — maybe for lunch one day because their lunch specials look great!

Place just opened after Memorial Day and sure glad it did. Here’s what I ordered: Potstickers(pork) — Delicious and extremely large and filling. Homemade at the restaurant. Kung Pao Chicken — Chicken was tender white meat, had just the right amount of spicy kick. Orange Chicken — The peak of comfort Chinese food, this is a must for those days healthy eating isn’t an option. Combo fried rice — perfection as an add-on to all the above. The lady working there also threw in some crab cheese puffs with our to-go order and they are a must next time I order. Overall, great portions and amazing food taste makes this place a classic go-to Chinese restaurant for those days you are feeling Chinese.
