Sharmine is seriously the best massage therapist I have ever been to! She is truly a healing artist not to mention one of the best souls I have ever met. If you want fluff she’s not your girl but if you want healing don’t look any further!

Background: I bought a Groupon for 2 — 90 minute massages just to get some massages I could afford. I’m on a fixed income and have to watch the wallet Here’s the long and short of my review: I’ve had allot of massages in the past — very good ones with great results. The massage I just had with Sharmaine stands high above them all. Seriously. This isn’t a review by one of her friends or family like others you’ll find on Unilocal — I just met her today. Knew nothing about her other than she was offering a Groupon and she worked close by — within 5 miles. The woman is gifted — seriously. Now, maybe it really came down to, as she said«we worked well together», but I’m telling you, with skill and knowledge that only comes from an artist who is connected to a much deeper internal language, Sharmaine knew just what it took to pull my muscles out of the rut they have been traveling in for years. I was fully impressed with the treatment she offered and I told her so as we wrapped up the visit. I also thanked her with a modest tip, one even more than I could afford. She humbly thanked me, while giving me credit for being open to her process. I left with gratitude as she dressed the table for the next client who I imagine will feel the same as I do; Sharmaine is a keeper Now, you have to understand, Sharmaine doesn’t offer the«feel good» massage. She tells you that right in the beginning. You’ll have to go somewhere else for that. This is a get down-to-business-treatment massage that’s, well, get’s right down to the real business of working past the symptoms of discomfort and getting right down to the heart of the problem — which, by-the-way, she is quite skilled at finding. Believe me, you feel the cause of your discomfort all over again as she manipulates the tissue into some kind of healing submission. A few minutes away is the confident ease of recovery and the road to relaxation that you might not have felt was possible. The trick is, when she tells you to breath deep, you better listen ’cause if you hold the breath in you’re just postponing the journey she’s taking you on. I could go on, but you get the idea. I’ll update this after I see her again next month — though I wish it could be sooner. It looks like I’m the first one to review Vatamassage and Sharmine but I imagine there will be more reviews to come and I will be interested to see if they run along the same lines as mine.
