This is a 5 star place no doubts. It’s simple menu is welcoming and on point and the meats are all uniquely delicious. They have the best Bahn Mi in the area and everything is priced fairly. I’ve quickly become a regular lunch customer when working from home. This is the kind of place Seattle needs more of: Trendy, simple, economical and all-out delicious. And they are open late on friday and saturday for those late munchies. I see a prosperous future for this business. One thing: my wife said if they added Phở she would have no reason to go anywhere else for her Vietnamese cravings. So I hope they can consider it.

Great service on a Monday night for take-out. They have a nice little dining area as well. The pork bahn mi and spring rolls were delicious! Very fresh and dense roll which was great. Not skimping on ingredients on both the sandwich and the rolls was much appreciated as well. This is my new goto bahn mi spot.

Great restaurant to pick up fresh and fragrant Vietnamese lunch. This is a very small but appealing space. There are only two tables inside and a few outside. I would say much better for take-out, or to eat here during the warmer months. Now to the food. The price to quality ratio is fantastic. For example, I prefer Green Leaf, but at Tigerly Ox you get just below that quality about $ 3 – 4 cheaper. I ordered the Pork Bun(vermicelli noodles). The pork was thin and was not overly fatty or chewy, and was bright with lemongrass flavor. The lettuce, cucumber, carrots and jalapenos were bright and fresh. You can choose between two sauces, a sweet and sour fish sauce and a lime soy sauce. I chose sweet and sour fish sauce and it was delicious. I think measured up to other eateries in it’s price range this place is a five, compared to my favorite Vietnamese joints, it’s a strong 4 and I’ll be back.

This place was such a surprise when we walked in. I totally expected a more authentic Vietnamese feel but as another reviewer commented, it’s totally just a Vietnamese Chipotle… with that being said, it was delicious. I got the Bún bowl with half tofu and chicken, all the fixings and the sweet & sour fish sauce and it was super tasty! My nearly 2 year old son really enjoyed his side of noodles too! My only complaint was the vermicelli noodles were ice cold(both as the side and in the bowl).

Pretty good Vietnamese food for a pretty good price, itty-bitty living space. I tried the pork bun(vermicelli noodles), and I thought it was pretty good. The meat was flavorful and cooked well. The pickled carrots seemed a bit like they came out of a freezer too recently, but it wasn’t too bad. It was a little hard to mix the fish sauce in the compostable to-go containers they give you even when you’re eating in, but not the end of the world. This place is definitely a nice hole-in-the-wall; two small, square tables seat about 4 each, but the way they give you the food makes the whole thing feel like more of a food truck with an address than a restaurant. It’s nice to have more Vietnamese food in Wallingford. I was a little sad that they didn’t have any of the juices(e.g. coconut, passion fruit, lime) that I like getting from Vietnamese restaurants, but the Vietnamese coffee was nice and strong. If I worked closer this would probably be a really great lunch spot with fairly reasonable prices.

The best things in life are simple. Tigerly Ox follows the same formula — not a huge menu, but everything there is crafted with care. Delicious.

We loved this place — healthy, delicious, and affordable. No longer do we need to head to the ID for a solid bún(vermicelli bowl). Very happy to have a great Vietnamese option in Wallingford. We both ordered the bowls — one with steak, the other chicken. Both were phenomenal. The vegetables were fresh and abundant. Generous portion sizes here. Service was excellent. The guy helping us(I am guessing the owner) was beyond generous and kind. He gave us a heads up right as we walked in, before ordering, that there would be a small wait on the noodles — which didn’t bother us at all. Even still, he hooked us up with some fresh spring rolls while waiting(also delicious, that peanut sauce…), and then as we were packing our leftovers to go, he offered us some more rolls to take home. Will definitely be back soon and often.

Hearty, healthy lunch for under $ 8? Unheard of! If I lived closer to Tigerly Ox, I would be here a couple times a week. The place is small and I don’t think I saw any seating area. They are super quick, helpful and friendly. It’s kind of like a Vietnamese chipotle, minus E Coli, so if you’re looking for an authentic banh mi joint, you’ll be disappointed. You get a choice of protein and you can have it in a Vietnamese sandwich, in a vermicelli noodle bowl, over rice or on a salad, which is a GENIUS idea! I opted for the grilled lemongrass chicken over rice and was very happy with it. My only problem was with the rice, which had the consistency of a day old rice or like it had been sitting on the bottom of the rice cooker too long. The grilled lemongrass chicken was perfect: thinly sliced chicken breast with a hint of lemongrass. The rice platter comes with a healthy serving of fresh vegetables and your choice of sauce: sweet and sour fish sauce or honey and lime soy sauce. I tried the sweet and sour fish sauce, which was a subtle Asian fusion version of the traditional, pungent fish sauce and was really good. I typically avoid eating vegetables, because I’m a 5-year-old picky eater inside, but the vegetables that came with my rice plate was really fresh and had a nice variety of texture and taste to it, unlike the typical salad, which to me is the equivalent of eating dry grass. I love that they’re very environmentally friendly, the to-go containers are compostable. You can place pick up orders through Eat24 and they’re super fast! I highly recommend Tigerly Ox if you’re looking for a healthy, delicious lunch option in the area. Your belly and your wallet will thank you!

The folks that work here are super nice but… worst Banh Mi sandwich I’ve ever had. Soggy bread(seriously soggy from the inside out), soggy slab of tofu(literally like it just came out of the water, maybe that’s why the bread was so soggy), and not much flavor or pizzazz. I did not try anything else, but perhaps the menu items that don’t involve tofu or bread are good. If you’re craving an awesome Banh Mi sammy though, go elsewhere.

I really like this place! I was excited to see Tigerly Ox come to the neighborhood and I’ve eaten there quite a bit since they opened this past summer. The menu is nice and simple: you choose your dish, then the meat(or tofu) and greens. I usually get the Com(rice bowl) or the Bun(vermicelli noodles), both are delicious. The prices are great and it’s a perfect place to swing by for pickup after work or for a quick lunch. The toppings are always fresh and the two sauce options are great. Only four stars because the portion size with the Com has varied a noticeable amount the last few times I ordered. Definitely stoked to try the spring rolls next time though!

Excellent tasting, simple Vietnamese meals, Bahn Mi, noodle and rice dishes. Well priced, filling and delicious. The owner was there cooking when our family visited, he is very friendly and we enjoyed talking about time spent traveling in Vietnam and common aquaintances. A fun little shop great for take out. Only two small tables though, so it might be hard to eat in when everyone discovers how yummy the food is!

We love this place. Finally Wallingford has a decent sandwich place. The mix of aromas from the pickled daikon and carrot to the just right amount of soy sauce and enough crunchy cilantro make the banh mi an addiction. Strongly recommend.

I only had the Bahn Mi and was not impressed at all. The bread was the issue as it is with so many sandwiches. It was too big for the contents and not crusty. I actually took the bottom off and rolls the top around the contents and it was MUCH better. Another issue was there was NO heat and the person who took my order specifically asked if i wanted jalapenos and I did but the sandwich had none. I also had the spring rolls and they were OK barely and the homemade peanut sauce was nothing special-store bought would be better. I won’t order them again. The staff was polite however the order taker/cashier was super confused and orders were delayed because of him. I noticed him removing tickets from the cook’s order line to ring people up and then forget to hang them back up, lucky the cook noticed but it slowed him down without a doubt. Never touch the cook’s line orders, it screws up the entire flow of the everything! I called my order in, was told it would be ready in 5 mins, well I was there in 5 – 10 minutes and had to wait an additional 15 minutes which is how I noticed all the mistakes above. The order taker/cashier really needs additional training. Since the components in the sandwich were good, I will go back and try something without bread, which bums me out because I LOVE Bahn Mi’s but I will continue to drive to Ballard’s Monkey Bridge because their Bahn Mi is far superior to this and their bread is spot on! Some pointers for the owners — get rid of stools or move them to the self service bar which seems like wasted space. Plus why only one table in the middle of the space when you would fit two low tables with chairs, or even one big community table.

Solid new Vietnamese eatery in Wallingford & well needed! 4.5 Stars! FOOD: Your meal starts with a choice on entrée: either a banh mi, vermicelli noodles, jasmine rice or a green salad. Next, your choice of chicken, pork, meat or tofu, followed by a spread if you choose banh mi or choice of sauce if you choose noodles, rice or salad. NOTE* if you are vegetarian, you may want to skip the pâté spread since it has meat in it. Had Banh Mi only and they were excellent! Pork was seasoned perfectly & very tasty and tender. Fillings were fresh and delicious. Tofu banh mi was just as good. Nice big slices of tofu that don’t fall apart when you eat it, plus, tofu was fresh! SERVICE: Friendly staff and walked me through their menu and were very patient. Banh Mi were made in about 5 minutes or less, so if you are in a rush/quick lunch, you will have plenty of time to eat. Definitely will check out their other menu items in the near future! Definitely check this place out!

Really enjoyed this place! Ordering is very intuitive and customizable. I had the pork salad– nice portions, fresh produce, yummy meat! Guy that took our order was super friendly, and the guy cooking checked in later– great service for such a small spot. Very happy to have good, basic Vietnamese food in the hood!

It’s like the Chipotle of Vietnamese food. Pick your entrée(Banh mi-sandwich, bún-noodles, còm-rice, or Xa Lách-salad greens), pick your meat or tofu, then pick your toppings. The toppings are always fresh in Vietnamese restaurants so it always makes me happy coming here. Great prices!

I was looking to try a new place in the Fremont area before heading to the airport. I decided to get the pork banh-mi and subbed the mayo for sriracha. The sandwich was filled with pieces of tender pork and had a good amount of veggies. I washed it down with a Caleb’s Kola, which is made with cane sugar, spices, citrus, and has much less sugar than the usual colas. For about $ 7, it was very filling. The owner was very friendly and came out to ask how the meal was. There isn’t a lot of seating, so unless you are getting takeout, be prepared if you’re planning on eating in.

It has been a while since I last had Vietnamese. But with the hot weather a noodle bowl was right up my alley. I had heard about this place from some of my neighbors who raved about the sandwiches. So I ordered the steak bun and the pork bahn mi for take out. The employee on the phone was very friendly. He even asked how long I would take to get there to time my food properly. I think that really helped because the bahn mi sandwich was still nice and toasty when I got home. I have been to a lot of places for bahn mi in the U district, Downtown, and Ravenna neighborhoods. This is by far one of the best. I’m not sure if it’s the pâté or the quality of their bread but it was delicious. The bun(vermicelli noodle bowl) was also fantastic. The portions are a little smaller than other restaurants but I’m happy with the size. Other restaurants would charge $ 9 – 10 for a bun bowl and put more lettuce in. I felt like I got a good mix of everything for $ 6 and didn’t have to waste any of it. Needless to say, with this heat I’ll be coming back really soon(maybe even tomorrow)!

So happy about Tigerly Ox. The prices are excellent and you get a good amount of food. I appreciate their clean, simple atmosphere and even the clean graphical design of their menu. The noodle dish(bun) comes with a salad, and will feed 2 toddlers and an adult. I had the chicken and it seems to be high quality and also cooked in a very delicious fashion. The bahn mi I got my husband was huge and also delicious. Our new weeknight routine once a week: Wallingford wading pool and I pick up some food from Tigerly Ox to eat at home.
