Thudsuan Kitchen Bar is one of my favorite thai places on cap hill. Everything feels very«authentic» I mean… I haven’t been to thailand but it feels a lot different from USA thai food that I am used to.

Ordered from bite squad for delivery. Food is overpriced. Small portions of mediocre quality. Also, beware: food is extremely spicy. Ordered medium spicy and it nearly burned my throat out. I definitely would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

This place blew my skirt up, and I’m a dude. I took one bite of the Green Curry, got up from the table, put on one of my wife’s skirts, came back and that thing was up around my neck in moments. INCREDIBLEFOOD! NICESTPEOPLE ! I’m 99% sure that I saw Tupac in there, sitting across from Elvis. THEYCAMEOUTOFHIDINGTOEATHERE. My doctor prescribed their Pad Kee Mao to treat my depression. ITWORKED. The only side effect was that I got stronger and more handsome! THANKYOUTHUDSUAN!

+: the service was excellent. They were very attentive and very kind. Clear our empty plates often and refilling our water. The restaurant is very clean looking and modern looking. I enjoyed the ambiance although quite empty when I was there around 5PM. The Bangkok wings were only 6 $ during HH and were delicious and crispy. -: I got the 8 $ mussels and they came out lukewarm and didn’t taste very fresh. I don’t think it was worth it. I asked for 1 star of spiciness and it came way too spicy. The flavor was delicious just very spicy making it difficult to eat and I can usually handle a some heat but this was way beyond 1. Was uncertain if I got the scale backwards and 1 was the spiciest. Adding 4 $ for seafood curry didn’t add too much for 17 $ curry

If you’re looking for AUTHENTIC Thai food, don’t come here. Tried this place only because of the reviews and overall rating. Never been to a Thai restaurant where they don’t ask«How spicy?». Also, our Swimming Rama was served WITHOUTNOODLES! They forgot the noodles to a noodle dish? How?! Staff seemed new/unorganized.

The soups and Kao Soi are fantastic. Rama noodles and Pad See Ew are good, but get the Soi. They do it really well. Friendly & quick too!

We sat at the bar here on a recent Sunday night and had a delicious dinner. The bartender/server was extremely friendly and we chatted with him while waiting for our food. Sunday is all day happy hour, so we had decently priced wine to go with our curries. We tried two different curries, both very flavorful, but not necessarily as spicy as we had expected. Will definitely be back, plus they offer FlyBuy, making it even easier to get carry out from them.

This is our all time favorite restaurant for delivery and takeout. We’ve actually never dined in because the food always arrives hot and we are lazy! I’m sure it’s even more amazing fresh out of the kitchen. Note: I find that their«medium» spice level is like«hot» at other Thai restaurants. We always order: Pumpkin curry with chicken Thudsuan Fried Rice Sticky rice Gyoza(if we’re extra hungry) Their Pad Thai is the best I’ve had in Seattle too! I also reeeeally like their green curry. The Tom yum is great too. Basically, I haven’t had anything I didn’t like from here. I wish I could give it more stars!

Really happy to have this place in close proximity to our house. It is very flavorful and non-greasy Thai food. A beautiful place to eat in and a great option for takeout. They even have a few reserved parking spaces in the garage off 19th to run in and grab your food. Echoing some others favorites of the Pad See Ew and the Pad Thai. Also love the Swimming Rama, their peanut sauce is great. The best part about the food is how fresh and not over-cooked the veggies are. We will absolutely keep coming back here! Bonus note: they had a dessert sticky rice dish with mango that was out of this world. I could eat it every day. If you see it on the special board order it and thank me later. On top of the great food, the service is amazing! They are so accommodating, attentive and just very nice people. They will bring you out water if you are waiting for take out and constantly check to be sure you are happy. I cannot say enough nice things about the staff.

The husband and wife that own this place are incredibly kind, super hard working and literally buy their ingredients daily from locally, run small business markets(think Pike Place, International District, etc.). Not to mention, the food is CRAZY good. Literally the best Thai in Seattle. I reco. the Yellow Curry with extra veggies. :)

I ordered from Thudsuan tonight using Amazon Prime Now. My boyfriend and I both ordered mild pad thai — his with chicken and mine with pork and no peanuts. The first thing we noticed upon receiving our food was that we both tried to pick up one noodle and ended up with ALL the noodles. Ok not a big deal. We just used forks to pull apart the noodles. Second thing? The taste… or lack thereof. The noodles were so bland. Really bland. For both my pork pad thai and my boyfriend’s chicken pad thai, it seemed like they just cooked the meat separately and threw it in afterwards. The meat had no pad thai-y taste and the pad thai had no pad thai-y taste. Fortunately we have some sweet chili sauce on hand that we were able to douse our noodles in. Giving two stars rather than one because I still was able to eat the food after salvaging it with sweet chili sauce.

Not really any good. At all. I’ve tried a few dishes. The meat both times(chicken, then beef) were super dry. The pad see ew noodles were more of a mush than actually noodles. And the portion was truly tiny. The tom kah was watery and had the tiniest amount of thai ginger and was mostly just onions with a mushroom or two and a piece of tofu or two if you looked hard enough. On the plus side, the staff is exceptionally nice.

Went for lunch — feel like I need to mention the space and décor first and foremost. It’s kind of an indoor outdoor space, an entire wall of windows that was open on a beautiful day. Loved the decorations, too. More important, however, is the food! My friend is vegetarian and got a basil dish that she really enjoyed. I got the lunch special of garlic chicken — YUM!!! Felt bad for everyone I had to work with after lunch because they take garlic seriously here! Really appreciate that they have brown rice(not available everywhere). The lunch special comes with a side of pad thai — which was delicious, but in addition to the brown rice, felt like a lot of carbs. So next time I would choose to forego the rice; the pad thai and dish are more than enough! Server was extremely nice. Only giving four times because it was my first time and would want to experience more before being able to really rave. I imagine it’s hopping at dinner/happy hour time, but I really enjoyed it for lunch. Bring mints. :)

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Food is phenomenal, drinks are great, and the service is amazing! It’s always a friendly atmosphere. Tom Kha, crying tiger, and Thudsuan Fried Rice are go to’s for sure.

This is solid Thai food in my opinion. I’ve eaten at the bar a couple times and to-go once. The coconut prawns are excellent and I really enjoy the Pad Thai. Last time I was there they seemed to be training some new bartenders so the cocktails could still use some work but they’re not bad by any means. The servers are friendly and the service is quick!

We got the Pad Ke Mao and Kao Soi, both were fantastic. The service was excellent. The décor is a massive improvement on the space’s previous décor(and, fairly brilliantly, they reused a good portion of it to much better effect) The Ke Mao was flavorful, nicely wok seared, plentiful, and had an excellent balance of ingredients. The Kao Soi is basically noodles covered in some kind of yellow/red curry with some onions and some perfectly prepared whole baby bok choys with some crispy rice noodles thrown on top. The curry is delicious, and the dish itself had some hidden pickled delicious pepper things. The menu said a ‘curry broth’, so I was a tiny bit disappointed that it didn’t come out like a really curry-heavy soup — it’s really curry on noodles, but it’s delicious and amazing, if a bit heavy. We ended with the mango sticky rice, which was excellent(for non-black-sticky rice), the mango was perfectly ripe — almost unbelievably so. I asked for ‘medium spicy’ was not as spicy as I would’ve liked. Going to get 5 star hot next time.

The service is always friendly and fast. They would constantly check up on you and be very attentive. Their Thai style for their food is different on how they prepare it and how they style it to look. I have had the pad khee mao, gyoza, Thai iced tea and coffee, larb salad, papaya salad, bang kok wings and tom kah goon soup. All were decent and good, but their gyoza is NOT home made, Thai iced coffee is not my cup of coffee, and tom kah goon’s broth is good but the stuff that is added in there seems a bit not cooked. Everything else was okay. Overall, good service, and food is decent and different.

I’ll start with what I liked — the soft shelled crab and friendly service. I really want to like this place because they’re so close to home but I just cant when Jamjuree is up the way and so much better in comparison. They’re trying to be fancy but it’s a just a fancy looking place with prices about 20% higher than our faves Jamjuree and Rom Mai Thai. Everything is far too sweet and overpriced. We’ve been there a bunch because the place is always empty and we needed a meeting spot for 13 people a few weeks in a row. But no one in our group liked the food and we were awkwardly seated with a couple of the seats so close to the bar we were blocking one of the entrances. The service is really nice as it looks to be run by a family. And the space is pretty, but I really wish everything else about the place were better. Cut the food AND drink prices by at least 20%(seriously) and fix the typos in the menu while you’re at it, stop making the dishes so sweet, take down the tacky gigantic open now banners, and offer some killer happy hours(with far longer hours) to get people in there. I’d pay higher prices but it has to be justified e.g. insanely delicious, local, organic, grass fed… all that stuff. But that’s not what they are so the prices need to come down.

Glad to see this gem open in the ‘hood. Everyone was very friendly and the owner was very pleasant. They were very happy to help me identify dishes that contained shellfish as I am allergic. Unfortunately, all of the curries contain shrimp paste so I won’t be able to partake. Thus far I’ve tried the Golden Cashew and the Pad Kee Mao. Both were flavorful, balanced, and spicy. I only wish some of their other dishes were able to have spice added in the kitchen vs. serving spices as a condiment on the side. I wish them much success!

You may think all of the early positive reviews for a place that has yet to establish a full website are by impostors but I assure you this positive review is by a real person who had a very real, excellent and delicious dining experience. I arrived alone but never felt lonely. I was greeted right away by a friendly man who I later learned is the owner. He is friendly, creative and has great plans for being a member of the neighborhood. I ordered the crab delight, gyoza and ginger garden with tofu. The portions are good for the appetizers. I agree with another reviewer that if there had been more… I would have eaten it! Kudos to them for helping me with portion control! The crab delight was a nice balance of cream cheese and crab, neither are overwhelming. My favorite was the Ginger dish. They were kind enough to add broccoli and some spice. Perfection! The highlight, the owner stopping to talk to me about his plans, offering menu suggestions and showing genuine enthusiasm about his family owned and operated business. This is a great happy hour spot and addition to the neighborhood. Be sure to look out for grand opening information!
