I lived here for two years, in two apts, with one year inbetween them when I left the country. I left for good summer 2005. Patricia was the manager. She lives on site and was good at getting someone to fix things. There is a backyard, but occasionally people sleep back there because it is only accessible through one narrow entrance and is safe. We used to bbq back there in the summer and my old bbq never got stolen. I think that the bedrooms are drastically different sizes, one room fit a queen with lotsa extra room, the other barely fit the bed with more than a foot on either side. Some apts have mini dishwashers others not so check first. I paid $ 725 – 740 for a 1 bed, waited for a two because they were a great deal at around $ 950 but rarely come available. But I think rent for a one bed is now around $ 925 there(per craigslist). The building is no smoking, but most everyone who smokes does it inside. No pets allowed to my knowledge. And if you are a light sleeper you don’t want to live here, as Harborview’s ER is two buildings away. And all that construction on James St. is right outside the front door. I left when the block got torn down for the hospital extension.
