I love your Sub sandwiches. However, walked in today to get lunch at 11:45 am. 5 people in line 8 people waiting for sandwiches. One employee on the cash machine and the only other two employees are cleaning when they should be making sandwiches. 30 minute wait time for a sub sandwich is Unacceptable!!! Very very disappointed!!!

Solid sandwiches, not a super efficient staff after 2PM. I’ve been going to Sub Shop in Westwood for about 5 years now, and it never seems to change in any way(which is both good and bad). The Good: Their sandwiches are flavorful, they have a *lot* of options, and you get a pretty hefty sandwich even for a 6″. The only Less-Good: As far as I can tell, after school gets out, this place is typically staffed by about three 16-year-olds who, despite their kindness and silliness, aren’t very quick about whipping up sandwiches. When I’m not in a hurry, it’s no problem, but there are times when the whole place is empty and nothing is happening behind the counter, which gets a little frustrating.(Yes, I know this makes me sound old and cranky.) Toasted sandwiches are filling and flavorful, and you can get some Ivar’s clam chowder on a rainy day!

I took one bite of my foot long and threw it out. Apparently, an Italian combo consists of 3 types of meat, but only one slice of each. If you want lettuce and bread, this is your spot.

Went there today and ordered two Mess Subs with the works and was pretty satisfied. They both were the 12″ subs and the price was just under 20 $. I don’t think that’s too bad for good quality sandwiches, especially when they slice their meat to order. I also loved how the staff seemed to be having fun while working so it gave it a very welcoming feel The only reason I can’t give if 5 stars is because I wish they had more locations.

Simple, tasty and consistent. This is the best sandwich shop on the Westside for sure.

Thanks to Unilocal!for pointing me to this restaurant. This restaurant is visible from inside the DMV office — it’s that close. The host at the counter asked us a good number of questions(Do you want it toasted, What kind of bread would you prefer etc.). We mentioned our food restrictions and he was very understanding. There was only one vegetarian option, but a couple of other sandwiches could be made vegetarian as well. They have an excellent choice of vegetables and guacamole comes with the vegetarian sandwich(without any extra charge). None of this is the impressive part. The actual impressive part is the taste. The sandwich just melted in our mouths. I could have had 3 of those. The right combination of oil, sauces, melted cheese and guacamole. One of these days, I might just go there all the way from NE Seattle for just that sandwich. Mind you, a foot long sandwich and a jumbo soda cost us just 9 bucks. So, the prices are comparable with chains like Subway, but the taste — several times better. They also offer discounts for local high school students. Overall, this is the kind of local business, that really gives the big chains a run for their money.

I’m vegetarian but pretty boring when it comes to what I like, so I always get the same vegetarian sandwich on wheat. Nonetheless, I really like it. In my case, the vegetarian comes with avocado/guacamole as part of the sandwich instead of paying extra, whereas most places make you pay extra even if you’re paying the same amount as other meat or whatever sandwiches. Just a small thing that’s nice, I guess. I can’t say how the other sandwiches are, but the staff is nice, the bread is good and the prices are decent IMO. My only«problem» with place is that I wish they had the calories for at least the base of each sandwich on their website or something.

I’ve been coming here for about 10 years now and I’m never disappointed. I’m pretty boring though because I only get the same Turkey Bacon Club everytime. It’s delicious! My favorite sandwich in all of the land! Today I decided to use my stamp card and get a DIFFERENT sandwich(get 10 stamps and get a free 6 inch, awesome!) And I got the Philly Cheesesteak. Incredible! I feel guilty for not trying anything else prior to this. The staff is friendly. The owner is always there working and helping out with a smile on his face. The bread is always soft and the ingredients fresh. I moved to Capitol Hill and still made it a point to come to Westwood just for the Sub Shop. I’d give this place 6 stars if I could!

I really like their sandwiches. I love the stamps, love the amount of options and toppings, and love the flavor. They are frequently slow. They tend to always be surprised by being busy at lunchtime on the weekends, and never seem to schedule enough people for that, but the prices and flavor make it all worthwhile. My favorite is the tuna, personally, but I don’t think you can go wrong.

I really do enjoy this place as far as a sub goes but usually I order mine with all extra ingredients being they seem to half step with the amount of items that go on a sandwich. Kind of pricey for what you get especially when you have to add extras just to make it a good filling meal. The people are always friendly in all my experiences with this place. Will I keep going back? As usual when in the area and hungry for a sub at the time.

Eh, the sandwiches are a little pricey for what you get. I usually like the roast beef and cheese… so the bread is actually decent. The employees are ok, sometimes they are friendly other times, they just don’t want to be there. Not exactly the best tone for the place. So, will I go back, maybe? We will see.

Love there sandwiches and there salads are pretty good to and the wheat bread they serve is pretty damn good… Cons-there prices are way to much just for a sandwich

Friendly, efficient service and fair prices. The vegetarian sub comes with guacamole and mushrooms, and they have more vegetable options you can add. It’s not quite as flavorful as Jimmy John’s(maybe they use less mayo?) but it’s a pretty good sub.

The turkey was tender and thinly sliced, but not thinly placed on my sandwich. The pastrami once toasted was tasssssty. The toasted bread was still fluffy and was gentle on the roof of my mouth. The tomatoes were juicy and the lettuce fresh. It was a generous portion for under $ 5. Quick ordering process, friendly servers. They bring the sandwich to your table so you don’t have that awkward«I’m staring at you while you’re making me lunch» situation. I sat around for a bit, typing up paperwork, and witnessed one of the female workers get hit on three times. She was always polite and unassuming, And still delivered.

So, they don’t get our order right every time(even when I repeat myself), but I’m happy to give them a pass. The bread and accompanying ingredients always taste fresh and are a good bite on the go!

Good product, friendly people, fast service. I really like the new Chicken Caesar Wrap they’ve been featuring for awhile now — they should make it a main feature on their menu, because no one else in the area has anything like it. It’s delicious. How they can improve: offer a wheat bread that’s not store-bought. Have cookies that aren’t in wrappers. or gross.(Maybe the delicious baked ones from next door neighbor QFC??) Sell your fountain sodas for $ 1 each like McDonald’s — I guarantee the lunch sales would jump. Because fountain soda costs next to nothing and everyone on this strip is selling it.

Standard sub shop. There are many around with the same menu. I’m a fan of double stamp Tuesday’s and also they carry Ivar’s chowder. My favorite Sub shop near my place.

The name isn’t clever, the décor isn’t fancy. I don’t think anyone could argue me on either of those points. However, you need neither cleverness or fancy with sandwiches this tasty! The vegetarian is loaded to the gills with yummy veggies and the turkey bacon ranch is perfection. The people are generally friendly and even when toasted my sandwich comes to me very quickly. What more do you need?

I love the french dips at this place! They slice their meat fresh, use fresh vegetables, and have the best bread I have ever had at a «fast food» joint! The service could be better… but these are college students that probably are tired of taking sandwich orders so I’m not too picky since they have always gotten my order right! LOVE this sandwich shop!
