Like any other Starbucks. :) They made my drink right and didn’t give me watery espresso. And the line is MUCH shorter than the one down the street.

Shout out to Juju; I love his energy and friendliness! The service here is excellent and there are plenty of places to sit. Even though it’s a busy location, your order comes up very quickly. If I was a local, I would come back to this Starbucks location more often. Everyone is so cheerful.

One busy Starbuck located in the busy 1st ave and Pike Street. The tables and chairs are a bit crammed in the middle of the place. Good drinks that’s for sure. I do like coming here. Its quite busy and you should expect a long line up. This is not the first Starbucks but the First Starbucks doesn’t have seats so its hard to compare to this one. It is located about 5 mins away from the First Starbucks.

Friendly and efficient! First Reserve store! Offers a line of reserve coffees that are farmed from Small-Lot farms; brewed one cup at a time on he Clover! A special brewing method that reduces acidity; which provides a smoother cup of coffee. Large lobby area with plenty of seating.

This is not the first Starbucks. If you think it is you are mistaken. The first Starbucks is about a block away in the market. I expected this Starbucks to be way slower, unfriendly, and uncomfortable than it was as it is right in the mix of tourist central. And because there’s always a number of people loitering around because they are mistaking it for the first one. Despite the line the baristas were efficient, friendly, and paid attention to detail. I observed an interaction where a man was returning some merchandise he has bought because he realized he has mistaken this shop for the original. The barista was so friendly and obliging in this exchange. He made the customer feel like it happened all the time and was no big deal(which probably really is the case). If you just need a cup of coffee then definitely choose this location over the original as it has way more seating and the line seems to move faster. They also serve a reserved blend only available in the market area Starbucks. I’ve heard it’s great!

I had heard that this Starbucks locations was the very first Starbucks opened. I found this to be an interesting fact and although I don’t drink coffee, I did take a couple photos outside the very first Starbucks!

All I remember about this Starbucks is… — How disappointed I was to realize I wasn’t in the first, «original» Starbucks. That one is down the street. Then I just felt like a basic B for even caring about this. — There’s a lot of seating, including a communal table big enough to host the last supper. — The bathroom. It’s small. It’s hot. It’s dirty. — Had a Green Tea Latte. Big whoop.

Went in to grab a new travel tumbler and some coffee, could barely make it to their selection because of a horrible musty odor. The travel tumbler selection was limited to their UW stuff which wasn’t what I wanted. I found it weird that such a large location had such small stock. There’s millions if starbucks in seattle, I’ll go to one of those instead.

If you didn’t know, starbucks originated in Seattle. This location, being that it’s the original starbucks location, is constantly crowded with people. There’s nothing else to it though, just a regular starbucks, with the regular drinks. This location is actually the most bare-bone starbucks shop I’ve seen, with no seating as it’s too crowded with all the tourists to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. They do have cool Pikes Place memorabilia for the tourists though, with nice coffee mugs and unique pike’s gift cards as well. They make the drinks to order and are pretty fast given the volume of people they serve daily. If you’re not quite interested in the nostalgia or the history of the store, it’s probably faster to get your drink at another location.

Last night, I stopped in to order an iced doppio in a venti cup, which is my go-to drink. Apparently my order wasn’t as important as other orders, because I was told by Maureen that I couldn’t have a venti cup. They were running low, which apparently means that customers aren’t given what they’ve come to pay for. Ridiculous show of poor customer service. Won’t go here again.

First things first: The baristas there were excellent. They took our order and delivered coffees exactly the way you’d want a Starbucks to. They’re the only reason this review isn’t a 1 star. But the manager was an absolute asshole. Me and my friend went here right after the Seahawks won the NFC championship. We ordered drinks and sat down and waited for them. The manager came up to us and claimed that he saw us just enter the building and sat down without paying for anything. The baristas backed us up and showed that we did order drinks but the manager still ordered us to leave the Starbucks because we were«disrespectful» to him. What a power-tripping psycho! My friend is from out of state and I was ashamed that this was her experience with a Starbucks in Seattle, in front of Pike Place Market no less. Just go to the original Starbucks or any of the dozen coffee houses within walking distance of here. I’ve never been kicked out of a coffee house before and still can’t believe that happened.

Who goes to Seattle without stopping by the original starbucks?! It’s definitely a tourist attraction shown by the line clear out the door at any given time. I do recommend going first thing in the morning. We went first thing in the morning and waited no longer than 5 minutes. Need souvenirs to take back home? This location offers many cups and accessories not sold at any other starbucks location. Make sure to pick up a bag of pikes roast coffee which is signature to this location. Even though it was crazy crowded inside, the staff seemed to be very efficient. 4 stars because the coffee isn’t anything different or remarkable.

This location can be mixed up with the first Starbucks a block into the Pikes Place Farmers Market. Located outside of the entrance to Pikes Place. The location was open to provide wait time relief for the original store(denoted with plaque on front). This larger store was placed in mind to accommodate long lines that snake towards one of two doors. There was a long line but not any worse than any other Starbucks. Line was quick to move. Staff wasn’t friendly nor unpleasant. Rather determined to move patrons. Store sells products found at the other Starbucks. Good: Quick orders. Bad: None. Overall decent stop. Nothing remarkable. Three stars. I am willing to come back for more.

This Starbucks is the one across the street from Pike Place Market on Pike Street. Not the one that at the market like some of the reviews in the listing indicate. This location is as touristy as the one at the market, but at least you are able to enjoy your coffee inside the store. It has a nice amount of seating including some outside the store. The menu here is typical of other locations, but also includes a selection of Starbucks Reserve coffees which are individually brewed as well as La Boulange pastries. I did notice that the menu listed drink offerings, but pricing was missing for drinks aside from the Starbucks Reserve coffees. As someone that likes knowing the cost of things before ordering something, that is a bit of a turnoff. Ordered one of the Starbucks Reserve coffees, Kati Kati($ 2.25 tall). It supposedly has a citrusy flavor to it. The coffee is medium in flavor rather than bold like I prefer. It was alright, though I made a mistake in ordering it hot. This would be better as a iced coffee instead. It could have used some milk though the coffee was filled to the top even though I asked for room. The Starbucks on 1st and Pike is alright, but it can get crowded. For a less hectic Starbucks experience, I would walk a few blocks up the street instead. There is practically a Starbucks on every street in downtown. If I have to have coffee near Pike Place Market, I would rather go to Caffe Ladro, Fonte or Storyville Coffee instead as the coffee and ambiance is good, but not as touristy.

This is the infamous Pike Place Starbucks. Great location next to Pike Place Market and a good size inside. I thought it was smart that they make it a requirement to receive a code at the counter from your barista to use the restroom so that not everyone is using it off the street. Customers only. With that said, the only downside to this place is that I thought they’d have a lot more to choose from as far as memorabilia as this is supposed to be the«original» Starbucks. My hubby was really looking forward to getting a special cup or something that had the location on it. Not much to choose from, kinda disappointing. I will say though that they brew this special Pike Reserve that is made using their Clover machine and it is tasty. Only available at this location. Expect to wait as there will always be a long line and sometimes they get behind so not only do you have a line to order, but a line to wait as well. It’s worth a visit at least and I’m glad we went!
