This is one of the larger Seattle’s Best coffee shops I’ve been to. The interior is ideal for studying, with plenty of tables and large windows streaming light. Pike’s Place Market is right across the street so this is one popular tourist destination. Ordered their iced coffee and it wasn’t anything different from other chains I’ve been to. Seattle’s Best just doesn’t have very strong tasting coffee. They have a special homemade kola drink offered here that I haven’t seen in California though. I bet it tastes just like coke.

I am always amazed at how friendly the folks that work here are. Especially for a location that gets flooded with crazies and tourists… which sometimes are one and the same, if you count the guy who considers himself a tourist from outer space. Haven’t had a bad cup of coffee here yet, but I also have never ordered straight espresso, as I hate being disappointed. I’ve been in here whilst wandering aimlessly around Seattle, I’ve been in here to grab some coffee before playing the Showbox with my band, and I always see the same barrista. And she always offers me whipped cream with my coffee and then gives me a huge dallop. Yeah. Whipped cream. The stuff fantasies are made of. I wish, though, that they kept the towels in the bathroom stocked. It’s kind of uncomfortable to come walking out of the bathroom drying your hands on your pants. «No really! I washed them! I really did!»

What the f**k kind of Seattle coffee shop doesn’t offer an 8oz size??? Seriously. «12 oz is our smallest size…» Well then go open a coffee shop at Costco and make room in Pike Market for a real coffee shop.

Seattle’s Best makes the best trio hot chocolate of any place I’ve been too. It’s the perfect blend of chocolate heated just right and made to perfection. This SBC location I think is one of the best for people watching it’s right on the corner of 1st and Pike so you can watch the crazies and tourist stumble their way around the Market while trying not to get hit by a bus.
