UPDATE: Business closed down due to owner’s health problems. :-( — — — — — — — — — — Um, hel-LO! Vegan crepes, and no one’s mentioned it? Are you kidding me? I took my son for breakfast, so we ordered sweet crepes: fresh strawberries with Tofutti cream cheese(!) for him, and although that’s what I wanted, I ordered the pear so as to not be redundant. Riverhouse makes their own fillings, and the pear filling was nice — not overly sweet, lovely pear flavor, and a few chunks of pear. Of course, everyone knows strawberries and cream cheese are really where it’s at, and my son’s crêpe was the best. The friendly and knowledgeable employee who made our crepes knew off the top of her head which items were vegan, and explained all our options. Yeah, she’s got it goin’ on. By the way, the vegan crêpe batter is also gluten-free, and this gluten-eater couldn’t tell — the crêpe cooked up perfectly. I also enjoyed my soy mocha. I believe the owner is the one who made mine, and clearly knows her way around a milk steamer. My only complaint is the location, as I don’t like going to W Seattle.

I had the ham, cheese, and spinach crêpe but changed the ham to chicken. I was slightly disappointed that the roasted chicken was deli meat — I was hoping for nice chunks of chicken & they definitely need some type of sauce. My crêpe had good flavor but was a little dry. My friend had the roasted chicken — also felt the crêpe was dry and the artichoke wasn’t obvious enough. If I go back I will try a dessert crêpe — mmmm, nutella — but I am not sure if I will get a savory crêpe again here.

I was wavering between 3 and 4 stars when I finally came to the decision that 3 stars was right on target, and this is why. The actual whole wheat crêpe itself was light and fluffy, yet crisped on the edges, and pretty much prefect. However, the crêpe’s savory filling, was a bit of a let down. I decided to try the«Chicken & Cheddar Roasted chicken and Sharp white cheddar with a sun dried tomato spread.» It is listed as a sandwich on the website, but is posted as a crêpe on the menu board. I believe the price was around $ 6. The melted white cheddar was divine; it really had some great flavor. The sun dried tomato spread and chicken parts of the filling were disappointing. The chicken tasted like lunch meat; I actually believe it to be roasted chicken lunch meat. When I ordered it, I was imagining freshly roasted shredded chicken, not thinly sliced lunch meat. The sun dried tomato spread looked like an orange mayo. I was expecting it to be a creamy-chunky spread, however it was not. I would call it something like sun dried tomato infused mayo. I kept feeling as i was experiencing dejavu while eating my crêpe when it finally hit me after I left. This crêpe tasted identical to Taco Bell’s chicken quesadilla, no joke. I think it had a lot to do with the sun dried tomato spread(mayo). I can’t deny that it was tasty, but it could have been better. A perfect crêpe needs quality filling. Given a few alterations, such as freshly roasted chicken and an actual tomato«spread» to provide some kind of texture, these crêpe could be spot on perfect. Now I have not tried anything but this specific crêpe, so my point of view could change if I ate there again. I can bet the dessert crepes are pretty fantastic. For the tiny size of the space, the kind of confusing way you have to order your food, and the limited seating, The crepes need to be «Paseo» good to get a 5 star in my book.

I wasn’t exactly like Maia, I did not go on an all crêpe diet but I did decide to enjoy some, at least try to enjoy some. I had, had some disappointing crepes and was kind of over them than one evening my GBF#1 and I were trying to find a place for dinner, and decided to give our neighborhood creperie a try. It was dinner so I wanted savory and decided on their caprese crêpe, who doesn’t like tomato, basil and mozzarella? The crêpe it was good, not great, just good, the basil was fresh and mozzarella was plentiful and I’m glad the tomatoes were in there because it kept the crêpe from drying out. GBF#1 went with their chicken artichoke though they were out of artichokes so they substituted spinach and avocado instead. His was super dry and not very interesting, he was not a fan of the creperie. I won’t go out of my way to come here for crepes but the place is cute and offers a lot of locally produced items, plus they use Beechers Cheese and have Bottega Italiana Gelato, I’ll go back for the gelato but I’ll by pass the crepes.

Stopped here about a week ago on a Saturday morning. Service was real friendly. I basically asked the girl working there what was good and she recommended the breakfast crêpe which was a combination of eggs, cheese(I think parmesean) avocado and some other vegtables. It was great and I am not sure if a crêpe could actually taste better than this one did. This place is hard to find, good thing they have a couple of signs posted in the neighborhood.

This charming crêpe shop is located in West Seattle right after you get off the bridge on the harbor view exit. It resides in the red Active Space building on the corner. It has become my new favorite lunch spot, I go a few times a week to have a delicious crêpe, salad or some gelato. Sarah, Jenny, and Kathaleen(the owner) are so sweet and always up for good conversation. They support local art and musicians(art work for sale and Cd’s from West Seattle musicians) There are tables and chairs inside and outside(nice on a warm day). Their menu has an option for everyone but is not overwhelming to look at. Everything is made in-house including salads, the dressing, cookies, bread pudding, crepes, and pasta salad. I also recommend their French press coffee, which is a great addition to a freshly made lunch. My favorites are: Caprese Crêpe: fresh mozz., basil pesto, tomato all warm and melted :) yum $ 6.00 Cinn. and Sugar Crêpe: Simple and amazing… $ 3.00 Chocolate Truffle Cookies: Made in house… the BEST chocolate cookie I have ever laid my taste buds on… I would eat a million if I could. but I can’t so I get 3 :) $ 0.75 I am in love with the pistachio gelato mixed with the chocolate gelato. the portion is just right to cure that sweet tooth with something cold. I could not ask for a better local creperie/coffee shop then this one. I believe that they also sell their desert sauces(sauces on dessert crepes) which include: Banana Caramel Rum Triple Cherry Amaretto Pear and many more… I think you can also find the delicious sauces at the farmers market…
