Meh… fast mexican food but kind of overpriced. The ancho chile burrito is good(I love mole sauce). The staff is super friendly though(or at leas the person helping me was). Good location in the new complex on Broadway.

We got there around 9pm and there weren’t many people which made it nice and quiet. The menu is fairly simple to order from and pretty cheap as far as Seattle dining goes. Two burritos, one with sour cream, came out to $ 16 including tax. I had the Ancho Chile BBQ Signature Burrito. Others in our group ordered the steak burrito and the two taco combo. The food may not have been amazing but was cheap and the BBQ sauce on the shredded meat was tasty enough. Other reviews report cold food; ours may not have been sizzling hot, but it certainly wasn’t cold. And I found the service here friendly. The only real strike against this location is that they don’t validate for the parking in their building. MOD Pizza just next door validates parking and the meals there are similarly priced. The parking in building is close to $ 4/hour when including tax. It’s true that street parking is free after 8pm, but that’s if you can find a spot. Overall, I would definitely come back for some decent and cheap Mexican-American food.

I am more disappointed every time I come back here. I always tell myself that it had to be a bad day and the next will be different. NOPE, sucks every time! Burritos are smaller and more expensive than Chipotle. The employees could care less about what they are doing. Even as you stand 3 feet away and watch them make it, they could give a hoot about the preparation of it. Blows my mind! Crap, crap, crap.

The only reason that I’ve gone to Qdoba more than once is that its location is convenient; otherwise, the food and the service are unremarkable and the staff obviously don’t want to be there or don’t like working there. Like everyone else has said, the portions are small for what you pay for and you end up leaving hungry. Their Craft 2 Menu(you get to choose 2 of the following options: naked taco salad, 2 tacos, quesadilla, gumbo, burrito, soup, or nachos) leaves you super dissatified with the portion size. Plus, you have to pay extra for guacamole or extra cheese. Like I said, I’d probably come back here again if I was in a rush because the location is so convenient to my gym and the grocery store. I’d choose Taco Time, Chipotle, or Taco del Mar over Qdoba

Fast food chain review… but hey my friend wanted to go here. This place was all right. I got what I wanted for my burrito, the toppings, checked myself in on Unilocal and got free nachos with cheese. That was a pretty cool promotion, but the deuce afterwards, not so much. NOMOREBURRITOSAHHHHHHHHH

Well, I got a very nice response from a rep from Qdoba who read my review and wanted to make my next visit better. She offered me some free entrée coupons for the inconvenience of my previous visits. This was a very commendable thing to do, and I respect the business better for making the effort. I’ve added a star for that. I used the coupons three times to give this place another shot. Unfortunately, I just wasn’t able to change my opinion from the first time. The service was a bit better, I at least had some smiles, but once the employees found out I had a free entrée ticket it seemed that they wanted to skimp on ingredients. Very small amount of meat on my tacos the first time. The next two times, I didn’t tell them until the end, and the quantity was better, although all three times the meat and beans were barely warm. I’m not going to bash the company as a whole, as they did make an effort to rectify the situation, but I just really don’t like the food. It’s not my thing. Others seems to though, so go ahead and form your own opinion.

What do you say about a restuarant when the best part of the meal was the fountain drink! My friend and I came to Qdoba on September 20, 2011. This stretch of Broadway has several new restaurants and we’ve been trying a new one every week for our Tuesday afternoon lunch. It was not good from the moment we entered the restaurant. The ambient noise makes it hard to hear the line servers behind the counter. I didn’t know that guacamole was extra, because I could not hear the indifferent server. I was charged almost $ 11 for the 3 soft taco w/guacamole and a fountain drink. I knew something was wrong even before the first bite. There was no heat to this dish at all. The meat on my taco was in that unacceptable temperature between 50 and 70 degrees F. I get very nervous about food not served between acceptable temps of below 50 °F and above 140 °F. The bright, shiney restaurant equipment sitting behind the counter must be used for something, right? After choking down one of my three tacos, I returned the rest to the counter. The cashier/manager? seemed suprised I didn’t care for my meal and offered a replacement. I asked do you serve anything hot? He suggested a burrito, but I opted for a quesadilla. After several minutes, I got my quesadilla. I had better hopes for this dish since it was warm when it arrived. The quesadilla was cut into four pieces and unfortunately for me the first section had no meat in it all all. The cheese, while warm, had no taste at all. It just seemed to be a mass of warm fat with no redeeeming features. The salsa was bland as well. I had enough when the when I finally got a bite of meat in my second section and it was the same cold meat that I was served on my taco. Disgusted, I finally threw the rest of the meal away. I’ll never return to Qdoba. That meal at Qdoba tastes like nursing home food when they have ‘Mexican Food Day’. Qdoba’s food is bland and as none of the taste and vibrancy of other Mexican restaurants. Finally, I think that the Health Department of the City of Seattle should alert this restaurant in regards to the correct storage and serving temperatures!!!

Solid franchise«fresh-mex» chain with pretty decent food. This franchise competes with Chipotle, and does so quite well. All-in-all a pretty good experience as far as a fast food corporate burrito joint goes — I prefer authentic Mexican taco trucks and I sorely miss the fish tacos in SoCal. But if you’re in a hurry and don’t mind shelling out ten bucks for a burrito(guac is extra, just like Chipotle — that sucks! Why not charge extra for the shit I hate, like sour cream?!!), soda and chips then this place will do in a pinch.

Boooooooooooo I’m not sure how they can compete with Chipolte. We there on a Sunday probably a half hour or so before closing. Just flew from the other coast, and was hungry and wanted my bed. The ingredients were old, cold and almost non existent. Not only unimpressed but downright disappointed. Typical bad fast food experience I guess…

When they have promotions, you can’t beat their prices for what you get. I like their chicken burrito. It is as good if not better than the one at Rancho Bravo. For something like this, it depends on who is making it for you. So far so good. I feel bad that this place is often not busy. I think it is because of the storefront windows. When you walk by, you can’t clearly tell what is inside. The same problem is and will be affecting all the other businesses in this building too.

The restaurant was very clean and modern. The food was pretty good. I really liked the $ 4.00 deal after 4pm deal with purchase of a drink. There is only street parking and since it’s Capital Hill I probably won’t be back any time soon since it’s hard to park here. On foot? No problem.

This is Chipotle minus 7. It’s fast Americanized Mexican food. The coupons they gave out were the only reason we went there in the first place. One guy copped an attitude when we asked if the Free Entrée coupon could be used for a Burrito. He was also condescending to my very preg sis in law when she asked for a taco salad. He asked if she wanted the shell and she replied doesnt it come with a shell. He repeated what she said in a mocking way before snarking that it doesnt have to come with a shell. The checkout person was super sweet and the burritos were fast. Only reason I’m giving a 3.

I live on the same block as this place, so I come here fairly often(mainly just because it’s close). My most recent visit was by far the worst-here’s what happened: I go there for lunch thinking to use my Qdoba rewards card(buy 10, get 1 free) because it should’ve been my free burrito. The lady making the burrito makes the skimpiest burrito I’ve ever seen, and I have to ask her to give me an extra scoop of beans(it’s still small). Whatever, I figure, it should be free. At the register I hand the guy my rewards card and nothing happens. No free burrito. I ask the guy what’s up, and tell him it should’ve been free. The manager tells me they recently«updated» their reward cards and that I would have to go online to «unlock the points». In other words, no free burrito. I go home and log into their system, «update» my card, and it show’s 0 points. EPICFAIL. Skip this place. They’re obviously on their way out(for good reasons). Go to Chipotle.

This is an ok place, but in the end it stands solidly in the fast-food category of quality. You won’t find any dollar menus here, but you do get plenty of food for what you pay. Plus, you can activate a Qdoba card and earn points towards free food, which is always a nice incentive. Still, I would choose Chipotle over this place any day. The shredded beef burrito at Qdoba is not nearly as moist and flavorful as the barbacoa burrito at Chipotle. However, Qdoba does offer more varieties of dishes to choose from in case burritos aren’t totally your thing. It’s worth a try if you are in the area and need something fast and filling.

Just Ok. This is fast food after all. I’d never had QDoba before and when I had only 30 mins to eat and get my brother to the airport, it made sense to stop in here real quick and eat on the run. This place is pretty much just like Chipotle. And… I don’t love Chipotle too much either. I’m not on the burrito bandwagon I guess. Being from CA they’re just overrated and having lived in Mexico for 12 years off and on(where burritos don’t exist) I just can’t bring myself to eat more than one a year. On a good note though — the ingredients were fresh, the food was prepared quickly by friendly servers and they have DR Pepper in their soda machine. I saw that they had quesadillas. maybe I’ll try those next time!

Really really? Did I just find myself here on a fantastic day? I also came here with a «get a free entrée» coupon that I got at the Pride Parade in July. I wasn’t sure what«an entrée» would be in their eyes so when they said it was just any menu item I was perfectly happy. We got two meat and cheese-free burritos and enjoyed them at Volunteer Park. Great choice! The reason this is 5 stars instead of 4, however, is their response to my search for a tip jar. «We don’t accept tips. Just tell your friends that you enjoyed your experience!» So… Unilocaly friends… I am doing just that here and now. I can’t wait to go back and hopefully have another positive experience!

I am a Qdoba noobie and I live close by to this new location that just opened up. My husband frequents Qdoba at their other locations by this work so he was super stoked when this one by our house opened up just a few weeks ago. We got some really great coupons in the mail and have been to this location 3 times already this month! These«new to the neighborhood» coupons rocked and I really like the prices and selection they had available. Every time I have been in, it was great service, the staff was friendly, helpful(I admitted to them I was a noobie at their fine facility, lol), and the food was made very well. I am a huge fan of their naked burrito and their quesadillas are soO tasty! Perfectly grilled in the press! yum! It’s a great place for lunch and if you want a quick, inexpensive, tasty bite to grab, I would recommend checking them out. I just went yesterday and on our way out the door, the manager thanked us for coming in and it was really nice of him to to do. I will definitely be back, even after my coupons run out!

Sure it’s not as tasty or inexpensive as Rancho Bravo, but it’s filling and the outdoor seating is nice. If you live on Capitol Hill, check your mailbox. You might have recieved a $ 5 off coupon. I’m not sure if this is standard for Qdoba, but I asked for extra meat and got it for free. That’s a major plus in my book.

This location just opened today. They were giving out coupons outside for anyone willing to try it out so I stepped inside for lunch. Having never been to Qdoba I instantly recognized it as a Chipotle clone. Same layout, same prices, just a few small differences in the menu. I grabbed a chicken burrito and a fountain drink and set to work. This is definitely NOT anywhere close to authentic Mexican food but I will give it four stars for tasty food, large portions, clean location, fast service, and friendly employees. You can depend on good but not extraordinary food here.

When fellow Unilocaler Sam clued me in to Qdoba *finally* being open on the north end of Broadway, I was happy to be able to use the flyer for a «Free entrée» that was given away at the Seattle Pride Parade back in June. Hungry and happy to use the coupon(that stated an «Early September 2010» opening date and an expiration date of Oct 1, 2010), I walked down. I should mention that this was my first visit ever to a Qdoba Mexican Grill. First, I walked in the wrong door. Upon exiting I realized their sandwich board points you to the correct entrance so that you enter into the ordering line. Ah well. I looked to the menu above to see what was included in an entrée; most places define an entrée as a main item, side dish, and a drink(even though the literal definition is «the main dish of a meal»). But I didn’t see any mention of the word entrée, a picture or anything. A very nice(and obviously new) employee greeted me and asked if I’d been to a Qdoba before. She was very nice and patient, giving me her recommendations and walking me through what I wanted. Then another, more experienced employee took over. He was faster, but not terribly patient. He didn’t engage me in conversation, figure out that I was new to the restaurant, or offer any useful advice. I should mention here that I was the only person in the store, so there wasn’t a line and therefore no need to rush me through. [One notable thing: he remarked that the red salsa and the habanero salsa were similar in heat, that one you felt in the front and the other was a lingering heat. If the heat is the same, then there’s a problem with either one or both of the sauces. The habanero yielded a pleasant warmth in my mouth, a far cry from the«very hot» menu description.] Upon checkout I presented my flyer and said that I was supposed to get a free entrée but wasn’t sure what it included. The experienced employee who had finished my burrito(Ancho Chili Barbecue) told the cashier my choice, and she rang me up while reading the flyer. I asked if I also got a drink, she said yes and said I could have fountain or a bottled option. I went with a Nantucket Nectars cranberry juice, and she informed me that my total due was $ 2.40. I paid it, wondering what exactly I was paying for, grabbed some utensils and napkins from the station and left. Checking my receipt, I was charged for the bottle of juice. So basically, in Qdoba-land, an «entrée», is the more literal definition of one main menu item without any sides or beverages included. The store is brand new, so it’s clean, well-lit, and on the small side so it’d be fine for small groups(3 – 4). They even have a few tables for outdoor seating around the corner. My burrito was generously portioned and tasty at $ 6.79, but I’m not sure I’d choose Qdoba over Bimbo’s Cantina — the price point is similar, Bimbo’s portions are bigger, and there’s a full bar to go with all that personality. Right now Qdoba’s has a «mall eatery» feel to it, but maybe in time it will start to blend into Capitol Hill a little more.
