Phuoc Loc Tho Supermarket

I was the only gwilo/​honky around. So, that garnered some stares. I could tell that folks were wondering what a dumpy white girl was doing there. Well, I was waiting for food from Salima and decided to go for a walk to this strip mall area. I was curious about this grocery store and decided to go in and check it out.
I have to admit that the odor nearly knocked me over! Not sure what the smell was but it was bad. But, I wasn’t about to be a wimp about it. I did a quick check around. They sell goat meat! So, if you need goat meat in the south end you can get it here!
They have tons of noodles, of course, and I ended up getting a couple different kinds.
There was a box of really really good smelling green stuff. They were smallish leaves. I asked the woman what they were. She told me but I can’t remember what she said. She did say they are used in some sort of chicken salad dish. It was the kind of good smell that haunts you and makes you want to go back and get some…
