I’ve def. experienced BETTER! Overall, the service sucks. She never checked up on us, forgot somethings we order. Didn’t even greet us, she was quite the whole time. ALSO, the phở was alright… wasn’t anything great.

I definitely was worried when I walked up as the outside is quite sketchy– but the Phở was suprisingly delicious… I ordered the veggie phở which litterally consists of mushrooms and tofu, it was a good combo and the broth was tasty. My lunch date ordered a sandwhich and spring rolls and he said it was pretty good! Not a bad place to come for a quick bowl of Phở!

It’s not the best I’ve had, but it’s certainly not the worst I’ve had, either. There are a few restaurants really close by that I like more, though. This one has the advantage of being fast and cheap that causes me to be more lenient on the rating. Aside from that, the place is nothing special and is only good if you compare it to itself and not to others. Instead of getting phở, I ordered #41, a stir-fried seafood with vegetables dish. I love some originality, and I’ve had phở countless times in my life. Service was friendly and the wait only took about six minutes. The strange thing about this dish is that there wasn’t as much originality to it as I was expecting. Sometimes I wonder whether my priorities are messed up if that’s what I’m looking for. The dish was basically as its name suggested; there were seafood and vegetables on one side of the plate, and a mound of white rice was resting on the other. It didn’t have a hint of Vietnamese taste to it; if anything, it was Chinese. It had the usual broccoli, carrots, lettuce, onions, shrimp, and all that good stuff. Definitely nothing out of the ordinary, but it only cost $ 8.75, so I would rate them just a bit above average.

Messy spring rolls. They fell apart as we ate them and the noodles fell out. The spring rolls also lacked fresh herbs which give them their light & fresh taste. The vegetarian phở didn’t have fresh vegetables and while the broth was hot, it didn’t really have much flavor. Simple garnish: white onion, canned mushroom & some toasted garlic. The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. There are too many other places around to settle for the mediocre.

I love this place! The staff is awesome and their food is amazing! My favorite is the Phở chin, but the chicken Phở is great too. The lady who is usually at the front counter is super nice, she’ll even make bubble tea with soy if you ask. Phở in the USA rocks!

I try not to make too many rules to live my life by, but one I can’t help but have is Never Eat At a Phở Restaurant That Has A Pun-based Name. Not that I expect every restaurant to have an air of Seriousness and Reverence at all times, but equating your main dish with some throwaway soundalike English word [worst of all, if that word is «fuck”] comes up too low on the self-respect scale for me to believe that you’re capable of putting out decent food. That, and I also suspect that a place with a name like, say, What the Phở??, exists almost entirely so that the probably-white former frat guys who own the place can see if they’ll get away with their heee-larious joke name. Congratulations, «brahs,» you did it! Now what? Make phở? Uh… So this brings me to Phở In the USA, which is a name so weirdly puzzling that I couldn’t tell if it was a botched pun attempt or… what, exactly. Or, wait, has everyone been mispronouncing«phở» all this time, and it really is supposed to sound like«forn?» So that Phở In the USA is actually a Springsteen pun? Not at all? So it’s just a really obvious name, then. It probably fits on a sign better than Phở That We Bring You If You Order It and Then Pay For It, Here in Seattle, Washington, The United States of America. It’s a weird name choice, because if there’s anything I know about 99% of ethnic-food enthusiasts in Seattle, it’s that they want to feel like they are definitely NOT«in the USA» when they’re at a non-American-food restaurant. Everything must be as «authentic» as possible, for a vicarious trip abroad, via eating! I… kind of get it, I guess, but it’s a little extreme. I feel like changing the name to Phở In Vietnam and not having any American soft drinks available would garner this place an extra star on here. No matter, because the phở [god, finally!] is pretty excellent. Though your bowl will arrive smelling distinctly of mulling spice, the star anise and clove is in check enough to be present without overstepping its bounds in the broth. The meat, if you go that route, is tender and a notch above most phở joints in the north end, as is the phở as a whole. PITUSA [nope, that doesn’t work, either!] also has a smattering of other options on the menu. I’ll put out a hearty recommendation for the chicken thigh curry soup, and the rice dishes I’ve ordered here have all been solid, if a bit forgettable. But really, you are here for the phở, right? And you are in the USA. Whether you like it or not.

This is a good place to go in the north end of Seattle if you are looking for decent phở. Their broth is pretty good and they have the usual sauces to add as well. The spring rolls are very good and the bubble tea is tasty. They don’t give a cream puff pastry though, which makes me sad.

My Phở wasn’t even HOT! It was warm and that’s just not right. There were 4 of us that came. We know we have difficult orders so we asked the server to grab a pen and paper to write it down. She reassured us that it’s fine so we believed her. They also got my order wrong TWICE, and another order wrong ONCE. What ever happened to ‘the customer is always right?‘ The place looked very run down and dirty. A lot of MSG is used in their broth which makes me very thirsty after. Not the feeling someone wants especially after a bad meal. I am not going back.

Your standard phở, one-size only, and it’s plenty big. We go with the entertainment book coupon, so it makes it a very decent deal for a quick dinner. I got the pork and eggroll vermicelli bowl — they were light on the pork and eggroll portions compared to other places, but otherwise the flavor of everything is fine.

I basically went here for the Unilocal check-in offer — 50% off a bowl of phở. The phở is pretty good… not stellar, but not bad. The bowl size is plenty for one person. My wife and I thought the broth was a little sweeter than other phở places we tried, but nonetheless, it came with all the fixings. The amount of meat and tripe may have been a little weak though. We also had the Vietnamese iced coffee. It was just ok. Maybe because I am not Asian, but she brought out the glass already made for me… unlike neighboring Asian patrons for whom she brought out the metal filter and let them mix their own. Gotta love discrimination. We also had the canned soy milk drink which is a standard good mix of soy milk and sugar. Ambiance was very basic. Don’t go for a romantic dinner, but a good, quick 20 minute sit down meal and its solid. No complaints re: customer service — like I said, very simple. I would go back if I was in the area, but wouldn’t go out of my way. Gotta love their check-in deal though…

Decided to try this place, since it was the first phở place that I saw. The from the outside it was nothing impressive. The inside if the restaurant was clean, so I took a seat. Nothing really impressive about décor in the restaurant. Anyways this phở restaurant offered the usual assortment of phở related food, including fried rice, sandwiches, etc. I decided to order the phở with sliced steak and brisket. The broth was flavorful, but it did not standout as being something that I could say stood out from the competition. The noodles were also average and did not stand out. The meat seemed tender and good. Overall this meal was average and didn’t stand as being better or worse than other phở places that I’ve eaten at. But then again it only cost $ 6.95. I’d probably go here again, if I were in the area, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

Phở in the usa was recommended to me by an old coworker when we were going to jimmy johns it took me maybe 3 months before i went and tried some phở with my girlfriend at first you think hmm this broth is kinda weird but after a few more spoonfuls of soup it leaves a pleasing taste in your mouth. the spring rolls are decent a lot of lettuce not a whole lot of flavor the one thing that i didnt really like was the option of only one size bowl other than that its a decent bowl of phở. they are open later than more places so that’s nice and the worker is very very friendly

My Vietnamese best friend likes this place a lot. I always get the veggie phở which seems decent. They have a pretty big menu here so I should probably check out some other items sometimes. My friend got a curry with bread dish once that looked really good. Unfortunately, they only had meat varieties so I haven’t had more than a bite. This place is cleaner than most phở places and the service is good. Unfortunately, its a little pricy. At $ 7 – 8 a bowl, I don’t think it really surpasses the $ 5 – 7 places. 3.5 stars

Very decent phở! I opted for the tofu and mushroom phở in beef broth. The soup was flavorful and the mushrooms were delish. What I really loved though were the amazing spring rolls. I actually liked that the lettuce was sticking out of one end – very artful, IMO. Try it, you’ll like it!

Wow! There are a few poor reviews for this place. I visited this place for the first time because it was close by my work on a cold day. –Phở broth was clear and ok. They did not use a lot of bones to cook the broth. –Grilled Chicken Rice Dish is average good without any accident. –Chicken Sandwich was actually good. I liked the grilled chicken. Price — not too pricey but of course you cannot compare it with C or V town Environment — Small Service — SLOWWWW and don’t expect much For ok food, inexpensive food and close by work… 3 ok stars.

The food was good, so I feel bad giving this place just two stars, but I’m sorry, if you can’t get an order right after explicitly clarifying and confirming it, then that is a horrible problem. I order the Asian salad. I asked for my dressing on the side. The waitress said, «So you want the cilantro on the side?» I said, «No. I want the sweet and sour sesame dressing on the side. Not the cilantro.» She said, «Ok. Got it.» She came out with our order and said, «Here is your salad with the cilantro on the side.» Wow. Really? Two stars for not understanding me, for overly greasy/soggy salad, and for overpriced, one-size-fits-all phở bowls.

Phở in the USA works in a pinch if I’m craving phở or banh mi. Located in a strip mall now obscured by a huge building(507 Northgate), it can be easy to miss. The interior is almost sterile; they recently updated it. I can’t tell if I like it super clean or kind of grungy the way it was before, but the food is the same thankfully. It seems to be run by one family, and the girl server is sweet. Phở comes in one size and has several flavor combos. I order the last one listed, which comes with interesting cuts of meat. I’m not particularly a fan of the thin, raw flank steak that cooks when you stir it in, so I’ve taken to asking my phở without it. The banh mi is okay(I prefer the ‘dac biet’ style which they do not carry), my husband enjoys their BBQ chicken sandwich(BBQ as grilled, not with BBQ sauce). The spring rolls are also good. Despite my average like for their banh mi, they do sell out. Get your banh mi early!

Okay first off there is no such thing as «gourmet» phở, and therefore there is no Phở place worth driving out of you way for. However, if you are in North Gate area and craving some phở or some delicious Vietnamese sandwiches… Phở(in the) USA is definitely worth stopping by. Came here for the third time or so over the weekend. Ordered some Taro Bubble Tea, Phở, a pork Vietnamese sandwich, and some egg rolls. Nothing was the best I’ve ever had(nothing can beat Grandma’s cookin), but everything was still delicious, and priced very cheap. I believe the bubble tea was a little under $ 4, the Phở was $ 6, the egg rolls was $ 3.50 for two, but the best was the sandwich…$ 3.50. Think about it a sandwich AND phở for under $ 10?!? yummy! yummy! I think next time I come by I may just buy two sandwiches by itself(options are chicken, veggies or pork). Okay writing this review just makes me crave some pork sandwich… ~G
