Everyone I’ve brought here, whether they’ve had West Indian food before or not falls in love with it. Curry chicken rotti and jerk chicken sandwich is their favourite. The food here is the best.

The chicken curry roti was out of this world without any extra sauce.

If I’m being completely honest, I’ve only tried one thing here. The curried chicken roti was THAT good, 5 stars good. It’s a little bit spicy, and so mouth-watering delicious! Pam’s Kitchen, PLEASEEEE open a restaurant on the Eastside because your location is just not that great, and it was tough to find parking.

Past several times I’ve been here have not been as good as it used to be. We need Pam or the guy back to cook! When I see the one lady cooking, I just want to turn around and go somewhere else(which I will do next time). Every time she cooks the pork or jerk chicken sandwich, it is missing all the flavors I fell in love with when this place first opened. Sad. The jerk chicken doesn’t have the brown flavor-packed color, and neither does the pork belly. It’s like they cut the seasoning in half or something or have it all wrong. All you taste is spice and no jerk. The bread is also not fried to perfection. If you see in my earlier pics, it is a nice lightly browned bun. Now, it is not even worth taking a photo; flat and the entire sandwich is just drenched in oil. This really breaks my heart. Pam, if you’re reading this, come back or fix this, please! I really love your little restaurant and don’t want it to go away.

I searched and searched and I’m still searching for some authentic jerk chicken. So Pam’s is a great lunch spot the sandwich is enough to fill you for lunch it’s just missing that authentic spice that comes when you order jerk. I recommend this place completely grab and go or eat in there but the search continues.

Try the Jerk Chicken sandwich. It’s a soft, warm bun packed with the juiciest melt-in-your-mouth jerk chicken and some super fresh vegetables to give it the perfect texture and crunch. It’s not afraid to be spicy, has wonderful texture, and fireworks of flavor all the way through. If you’re not a fan of spicy, the Geera Pork is just as tender but the spices are very mild. The staff is always friendly and my food is normally ready in 5 minutes. Sandwiches are a bit on the pricey side considering you don’t get sides or a drink. This place is not the prettiest and faces a cement barrier across the street, however, the restaurant is kept very clean and for a place that specializes in heavy spices and fried foods, the air is surprisingly clear. I’d recommend eating in unless you want meat juices making a soggy mess of your bun. You won’t regret coming here!

Very nice staff. I had the Jerk Chicken sandwich but without the bread(I’m trying to stay Paleo ish) and it was delicious! Perfect lunch portion. Was very spicy but not too spicy. I also tried the coconut ice cream and I really liked it. The consistency is kind of grainy like homemade ice cream can be but almost makes me think it might be made of coconut cream, not sure if it but if it were it would make it even better! :)

Aloo pies are deicious. Not greasy w/a nice golden batter crust. Very delicious. Jerk chicken has a nice kick. Spices can be tasted all the way through to the bone. The fry rice was my favorite. Rice was not overcooked and mushy, the vegetables were perfect, cooked w/a crunch still. My husband and sister had the stew which was the special for the night. They both enjoyed the different flavors. Food packed some heat so if you enjoy spicy food, you’l love pams.

Really enjoyed the Roti. I had the curried beef and my friend the chicken Roti for $ 12 and $ 11 respectively. The fresh Roti was so tender and soft and the meat just melted in my mouth. The spices where very well balanced. I did not enjoy the location, the ambience, and for a handheld lunch the price. But I’ll be back to try the sandwiches.

Takes me back to the roti shops in Flatbush, Brooklyn(well… a lot cleaner and better organized!). Authentic food served with an authentic smile and a heartfelt welcome. On my two visits so far, I’ve had the chicken and goat curries. Both come covered in chickpeas and love, with a generous side of roti(I always get the bussup-shut or «bust up shirt» type). The meat is tender and separates from the bone– enough so that you can break off pieces of the roti and pick it up with your hand without making a big mess. Both times I ordered the sorrel. They blend it in house– not to be missed. I’m not a big fan of rum cake, but Pam and Anton convinced me to try some with their house made Guinness ice cream and I think I’m a convert! Anton tells me that they are going to be offering doubles starting next week. Given that this is really the only Caribbean spot accessible to me, I would also like to see some more Jamaican offerings– especially ackee and saltfish and festival!

I came here a month ago when they just opened for dinner and this place is so good! I’ve never had Trinidad food but the chicken was delicious. The food in general a little bit on the heavy side but every bite is so tasty!

Oh Pam’s Kitchen you bring me back to South Florida. If only you had Doubles, I’d swoon. Trinidadian food is amazing: curry spice and chickpea chutney.

Tried Pam’s Kitchen for the first time in Eastlake yesterday and i was not disappointed. I had ordered the both Jerk Chicken sandwich and the Geera Pork sandwich. The Jerk chicken sandwich was AMAZING! I loved it! The chicken was nice and hot and spicy which is what i look for in jerk chicken and it did not let me down! It was so good!!! Now the Geera Pork sandwich was good, but out of the two it was not my favorite. For my personal taste it could of used more spice. Definitely not as spicy as the Jerk Chicken one which is probably why i’m biased & It kinda of had a lot of fatty pieces. Can’t forget the Coconut fried baked bread! It was so good and fluffy! Yum! Overall, I love this place I usually get their chicken roti’s but decided to switch it up and i was not disappointed! Will be back to get more yummy jerk chicken sandwiches

These guys know how to make a good sandwhich. I wordered the Jerk sandwhich and it was perfect, the chicken was perfectly roasted and marinated, a bit spicy but who doesn’t love spices?!! althought the bun was fried in coconut oil but it wasn’t oily, it was super yummi. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

Very delicious caribbean jerked chicken sandwich, which has plenty of spice and tenderness to drive you to return. The staff is very friendly, and they serve some unique drinks, drinks that are popular in Trinidad and made in-store. The most unique drink they serve is the peanut butter punch, consisting of peanut butter, 2% milk, and sweetener. The peanut butter punch is best ordered in harmonious unison with the jerked chicken sandwich. The only downside, and the reason I didn’t give them five stars, is they are located out of the way on the outskirts of south lake union. For those that enjoy spicy caribbean food, I strongly recommend Pam’s kitchen and the jerked chicken sandwich. I hope to return to try more food.

This place is pretty amazing. I’m so glad Seattle Met featured it in their Lunch episode to put it on my radar. Having owed a coworker after losing a lunch bet to him, we decided on this spot and invited two others. He and I split the Beef Roti, Aloo Pie, and Jerk Chicken Sandwich. Seattle Met featured the Jerk Chicken, so we had to at least try it. All three were excellent. The aloo pie is like the love child between the roti and the chicken sandwich, inheriting Chicken’s fried sandwich, and Roti’s potato mash filling. These are pretty dense dishes so buyer beware that you’ll be stuffed. My favorite was the jerk chicken, so kudos to Seattle Met for calling it out. I loved the sweetness and texture of the fried banana bread, and the chicken was nicely marinated. The two other coworkers ordered ginger beers and said they were delicious. I was in drink envy a bit, I must admit, but having the dishes we ordered already exceeded my diet budget for the day, so I practiced restraint by sticking with water. I’m still in drink envy right now. Be aware that the hot sauce is pretty frickin hot. It is pink/orange in color and therefore aesthetically deceiving. Being pink/orange, it looks harmless, but it packs quite the kick. Side Note: Not sure if this is always the case, but it was quite warm and humid inside. It felt like the Caribbean! Guess that adds to the authentic experience. Finally, it seems to get pretty busy at noon despite being located in an off-the-beaten-path locale, so come early as service is just slightly slow.

As a fan of Pam’s Kitchen in the U District, I was happy to see them open a lunch spot in SLU. The menu is a variation of their dinner, e.g. you can get a roti but here it appears as a wrap rather than a dinner plate. The menu is fairly limited, but very good. I tried the geera pork coconut fried baked sandwich, and it was so good. The filling was some ground pork and pork belly which was seasoned beautifully and a bit spicy. But the fried bread was what takes the sandwich to another level. The only thing missing here are some chips or fries. But definitely try one of their sandwiches for something different.
