Orion Motel

I agree with everything Quirstle said. I had the absolutely worst experience of my life at this motel. I do not recommend this motel to anybody at all. I took a vacation to Seattle for one week, and booked a Weekly here at this motel. They agreed to charge me every single day, as they had all my information. I told them I would only be in my motel to sleep, as I would be out all day (8am and coming back around 11pm) as I was here for a convention. After the first day, I went on my journey throughout the city the entire day, as I told them. I come back to my room around 11:30pm to find out that my key is no longer working. In absolute panic, I have no idea what to do or what is going on. I see the front desk clerk come out of one of there guests rooms, and talked with her. She thought I left, and booked my room out to somebody else!!! I couldn’t believe it! Was in utter disbelief! They ended up taking all of my stuff out of my room, and kept it up front. The lady had felt bad, as they knew what I told her, and felt terrible for doing this to me, as I had nowhere else to go and knew nothing about the city. These workers are absolutely ridiculous for doing this to me. They did NOT even bother to call me or Anything!!! Please, save yourself the hassle & do not stay at this motel. As I went through my things, they ended up stealing two of my brand new pairs of Nike Shorts, and my IPhone 6 Charger, telling me that «they didn’t find it» when I called them the next day, which is absolutely wrong! Don’t ever stay here. There are so many other places in Seattle that actually care about you. This place is not one of them.

we had a weekly here back in May and they ended up moving someone into our room the last night we were supposed to be staying. We were shocked to walk in on people and find our belongings cleaned out, We got our clothes back but never got our laptop, safe and other very important things back. They are crooked. Don’t leave expensive items in your room if you do stay here and don’t bring your children here either

Dirty blankets, room had a terrible smell, people up all night out in the courtyard… And when I got home, I discovered bed bug bites all over my body. Go anywhere else.

OK– this is not the type of place I would stay, but hell– the owners are amazing, the rooms are cleaner than you would think, and they are a positive force in their tenants lives. They have weekly rates starting at 275 for people who find themselves down and out in need of a temporary space. I happen to be a therapist who appreciates the service this establishment offers some of the clients I work with. Definitely a sketch place, but this is due to the clientele, not the management. The managers are a husband and wife team with children who have big hearts and a good intuitive sense of what disenfranchised people need. For what it is, the Orion Motel deserves three stars and a big pat on the back. It’s not the Hotel 1000 by any means, or even a Motel 6, but those staying there aren’t expecting anything but a safe place to stay until they get back on their feet again.
