I am on a diet mainly eating chicken and turkey so wanted chicken in a different form/style…ordered chicken breast with extra meat(sauce on side), no rice, cabbage salad only. food tasted great! moist chicken breast with most likely some marinade/seasoning before the sauce so I actually did not use the sauce since it had great flavor without! once my diet is over i dont think i will use the sauce either as the meat is very tasty and there is no need to cover it up with the sauce. great size portion for the price, fast, friendly service. will be frequenting here more often.

The waitress is SO nice! She always has a smile on her face and is extremely friendly. The food is excellent and they give you a decent portion size. Crunchy vegetables, juicy chicken, and perfect rice. I haven’t been disappointed and I have been here about 20 times.

This is my go to for local Chinese take out. I have been coming here for years and I’ve never been disappointed with the quality of the food and service.

First time trying NT&W(takeout) and we both are raving at how good our dinners are. We both ordered combo dinners. I had the teriyaki chicken/Katsu chicken(a special tonight) and friend had sweet & sour chicken(only complaint was the sauce was bland)/vegetable chow mein. We ordered«no rice, extra salad» and ordered chicken fried rice to share. My Katsu chicken was delicious-perfectly breaded and not greasy at all. Came with a lovely sauce. Even the salad was yummy(shredded cabbage, almost like a creamy coleslaw). Simple and delicious, and a friendly lady at the counter. Only regret is that we didn’t try it sooner!

Ordered the General Tso’s chicken — very disappointing. The«chicken» was hard to find inside the tough, chewy fried pieces. I feel like it was prepared earlier in the day and reheated — it was dreadful and inedible. Kids ordered chicken fried rice — ok but not fantastic. Just go somewhere else.

This place is great. Especially if you like teriyaki, because that’s what they serve. It’s also good for the bar down the street, Beveridge Place, because they don’t serve teriyaki.

At first I liked their garlic chicken, but now I think this place is terrible. The chicken here tastes kinda like vomit. I think they use cheap chicken that has been injected with bunch of chemicals. It just doesn’t taste right. Oh and their hot and sour soup was nothing close to it. It was like a egg flower soup with vinegar and black peppers. I don’t know why they would make something/put it on a menu when they can’t make it right.

I don’t feel this place warrants quite a four star rating, but this is based on the fried rice, which I’m always more inclined to order when visiting teriyaki shacks for the first time. That could rise after future visits! They offer top notch customer service. Everyone I’ve met here greets you with a smile and offer the warmest hospitality they can muster from behind a counter. The location is great with a decent-sized parking lot they share with a couple of other businesses. It has never filled up during either of my whopping two visits. Note: You can see New Teriyaki & Wok from driving into Thriftway, but they each have their own driveway. The dining room is larger than other teriyaki joints thanks to the southern location well away from the madness of Alaska Junction. I received a generous order of fried rice, once to go and once dining in both times. The chicken and vegetables are evenly distributed throughout the dish and flavor is good, but I didn’t care much for the amount of yellow onion in it and while it’ll serve in a pinch, the chicken fried rice at Roxy’s in White Center and Nikko’s in West Seattle win for better ingredients. And all of them have a long way to go to knock the grilled chicken fried rice from Waji’s at Seatac off its throne!

#1 spicy chicken in Seattle. Spicy chicken yakisoba is also tight. Fast and affordable, just like them hot spots in Kent. If west Seattle was an oyster, new teriyaki & wok would be the pearl.

My family has been eating here for about 7 yrs, it’s our go to «fast food»(fast, hot and good). It’s clean, friendly and the food is consistently good, all the things I want from my neighborhood teriyaki place.

Tried this place out, as it is the closest teriyaki place near my house. Ordered the chicken yakisoba and was very disappointed. Usually, at every other teriyaki restaurant, I order yakisoba for dinner, and I have half left over to take for lunch the next day. Well, the portions are very small, and for almost $ 9, I expected to get more. There were also very few vegetables. I am used to my yakisoba being full of a variety of veggies. This yakisoba had all noodles, some chicken, a couple pieces(like 3) of broccoli, and some shreds of carrots. Let’s just say, I will be going out of my way to get my yakisoba elsewhere.

I’ve been eating here for over 2 years. The food is consistently great and you will always receive excellent service. Great for pick up and dining in. The only thing they need to do is get new high chairs. Theirs are old and the buckles are broken. As soon as they get new ones, I can easily give this 5 stars as my favorite West Seattle teriyaki spot. Will they have new high chairs so I have the fifth star. Seriously, this is one of our most frequented restaurants. We dine in and carry out often and always receive great service and amazing food. Their General Tso’s may be my choice for my last meal.

Great quality at reasonable price. I had Katsu, teriyaki and gyoza, all much better than your normal teriyaki place. Friendly service too. Very clean inside. Come for lunch special before 230

This place was good! Super friendly service and chicken and gyoza combo for 7.95 hit the spot. There are 2 types of teriyaki I think, this is the place with the heavy sweet sauce. Almost too much, but it was what I was wanting so it was perfect.

One of my favorite places to grab fried rice… Nice chunks of chicken and real flavor for your taste buds. Teriyaki isn’t bad either and you have a large menu of other items to enjoy.

A pretty standard teriyaki joint with a bit more variety on the menu including other chinese/japanese dishes. The gyoza is pretty good. I go here because it’s blocks from my house but definitely wouldn’t go out of my way otherwise. Overall, pretty solid.

The spicy chicken is good!!! A little stingy with the rice portion tho. Not enough for the amount of chicken that they serve you that’s why I’m taking a star off

I was having a craving for some Teriyaki and since W Seattle is now our new stomping grounds, I thought we should try out one of the many teriyaki spots available. Last time we had tried a different joint and taken it to go. One thing I’ve learned about teriyaki is that sometimes to go is a totally different package and feel from dining in so off to dine in we went. This location was in such an odd spot as it was way down California(to where you almost wondered if it was still ‘on’ California) and it shared its parking lot with a Shell gas station, Dominos and BECUATM. So needless to say, the parking was a bit cramped and we had to wait for a car to leave to even get a spot. We get inside and it was pretty dead. They had menus behind the counter and some photos of some of the items blown up. I originally was going to order the shrimp fried rice & a small 2 pc of the shrimp tempura. My husband decided he wanted the shrimp tempura too so we got the 6pc meal instead of two 2 pc appetizers(not sure this was a better deal but that’s another story). We waited for our food and just kind of hung out talking. The order took about maybe 10 mins or so and my fried rice & the shrimp tempura came out first. My husband had ordered teriyaki chicken but his didn’t come out for a good 10 more mins(thought that was kinda odd). What caught me off guard(and why the low rating) is that my shrimp fried rice portion didn’t seem that large. My husband thinks I’m crazy but I’ve ordered many a fried rice dish and usually have leftovers to boot. My plate was a smaller sized plate and I was able to finish it without having any leftovers. The other complaint was that my eggs within my fried rice were burnt. Not just like a piece here and there — the whole thing. I make fried rice at home when I have the urge and while it’s not impossible to burn, it can be pretty hard to make that mistake if you are a restaurant. So it tainted the whole meal as it was practically impossible to ‘eat around it’. The shrimp tempura plate was the same price as our other meals since it was a ‘meal’ and there was one scoop of white rice which my husband was trying to eat since the rice seemed a little on the stingy side with his chicken. There was some coleslaw/salad which comes with the teriyaki and tempura which had run and leaked all over the other food. It totally made the food inedible if you’re not a fan of the sauce(which we’re not). Overall, the fried rice wasn’t fantastic for me and it didn’t blow me away with anything else. I“ll mark this place as done on my list and move on to the next teriyaki spot to check out.

New Teriyaki has some of the best chicken teriyaki I’ve had in Seattle. I’ve never gotten anything else because the teriyaki is so good! The chicken has a wonderful smoky taste — you know it’s been grilled. The teriyaki sauce is wonderful, as well, and perfect for dipping the rice in. Instead of a lettuce salad, they serve a cabbage salad, which holds up better for takeout orders. And did I mention the salad dressing? It’s fabulous! Also, the portions are large — definitely enough for 2 people to share! We’ve tried the Mongolian Beef once, and I found it to be a bit sweet with little to no spice. The gyoza is normal, and similar to other gyoza I’ve had. Their dumpling sauce really makes them wonderful, though. Our bill is usually under $ 30, and we always have fast and friendly service. It doesn’t have the best dining atmosphere, but the food more than makes up for it!
