Nena! She has firefly earrings, and so many amazing vintage treasures. Is it possible to want everything in this tiny 200 sq. ft. space? It is if Nena chose everything in it.

Ever been to a small shop, that you should easily spend every faithful dollar in your pocket, because there is something so wonderfully perfect about the stuff there? This petite shop, full of the old and new, is to be experienced, because if eclectic, funky, charming, and delightfully sweet. It’s like small slices of conversation starters, décor, gifts, cards; collected from all types of worlds. The old, is actually old, not the new which has been styled old. It has history, it has weight, and it’s ripe to become part of your history. I’m talking about old maps, house hardware, knobs, locks, chains, pulls, toys, cameras, signage, and so on. The new, which is new, are culturally significant, and recognizable, from neat mugs, to reusable bags, books and more. Nena, the owner/shopkeeper is a sweetheart, honest, charming and can find something for any buyer. She herself, heads to Estate Sales, garage sales, and anywhere she can find a story, something that can be shared with the buyer. I appreciate her style, and it matches well to the established Seattle local. This shop is deceivingly small, but take your time, and you will find a place that you could easily spend a hour, and perhaps a new found appreciation of «what was old, is new again.» Please visit! Worth it.

Every time I go to Nena’s it is the best part of my day. A week before Christmas I wanted to get more personal gifts for my family, it was a Monday afternoon, I live in Madrona so I decided to walk around the local stores. Everything was closed, except for Nena’s. I walked in and I found something for every person in my family ranging in ages from 20 – 60. She is so helpful, and will be very honest with you. She knows about every piece in her store, and is so enthusiastic. The best thing about Nena is she recognizes when you need time by yourself to look around and soak in the store. On Christmas Eve I discovered my partner didn’t have any presents for his family, I looked online and noticed that she closed in 10 minutes. I called her and she said if I promised to show up she would stay open for me. Again our experience was amazing, and we left with presents that fit each person on our list so well. Even if you go to Nena for a last-minute present, it never looks like one! I’ve been many times since then, and I’ll never shop for anyone anywhere else again!

Nena is delightful and she really knows her stuff. I love her aesthetic. Nice mix of quirky, classic, hip, and whimsical. I walked in with a friend because I loved the Michelle Obama tote bag and walked out with $ 200 worth of gorgeous gifts for important birthdays. I WILL be shopping there for Christmas and can’t wait to see the reaction of my friends and family. Also, Nena will take a look at your vintage items that she might want to buy. She doesn’t do consignment, but she will buy things that fit the style of her shop. Great place for good conversation and LOTS of eye candy.

Whatever you are not looking for, it wont matter, it may end up finding you here. Nena’s is great — buried out of the way though. My wife got me a vintage bar set… i was not overly excited until i got home and unpacked it all. Amazing. Fairly priced and my wife has been going for years — i guess i’ll have to rave about it if she does not. Lots of little shops in the area, you could easily spend an hour in the store and go have good food or coffee afterward, within short walking distance.

This is a fantastic little shop in the Madrona neighborhood, filled with an amazing assortment of jewelry, antiques, collectibles, ephemera and edible goodies. It’s my «go-to» source for both everyday and special occasion gifts. The owner, Nena, couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. When you’re done shopping here, walk a few steps next door and grab a cup of coffee and a cupcake at Verite!

LOVEIT! We stopped by here just while we were strolling around the neighborhood. The woman that works there is just the sweetest. It’s a small little shop with little trinkets and gifts. We found a Star Trek flask(she had a lot of Star Trek stuff– totally a plus) and a mug my mom really wanted. This place is truly a hidden gem. Nena hits up estate sales and always has new stuff on the shelves. So glad I ran into this place!!!

Here is a hidden gem of a find in one of Seattle’s best neighborhoods Madrona. If you shop Madison Park and Madison Valley, please go to Nena’s in Madrona which is a stones throw away from these neighborhoods. When I first found Nena’s I thought gee this reminds me of a little Parisian shoppe. No more than 400 square feet in size from the sidewalk, looking at the lively irems in the window, you just want to go inside Once inside I was greeted by the cheerful and passionate Nena. You feel right away that you have come to the right place. I felt in my bones I was going to find a treasure. Not looking for anything in particular I saw an old 1930s microphone, vintage Roseville, curious little objects des arte(Nena knows her antiques). To my utter delight I found a vintage hardback of Exupery’s The Little Prince! I’d benn looking for several years and found it here. While I was there a young woman came in looking for an anniversary present for her parents. Like a personal shopper Nena helped her locate just the right item, a beautiful piece if English china. Nena owns and runs her business herself. She has exquisite taste and an eye for many wonderful things. Check her out. Afterwards you should buy a cupcake and coffee next door and admire your great buys

Nena is a great place to shop, nestled in the heart of lovely Madrona. You will find Nena herself always ready to share what new things she has in store, and she will help scout the store to find the perfect gift for which you came looking. Recently, she helped me find several items that were so small I probably wouldn’t have seen them myself, and I assembled the perfect trio of gifts for my son. Nena is not only helpful, but friendly and always happy to spend time talking with you. The shop has unusual vintage and new things which you won’t find anywhere else in Seattle. It is definitely a destination, and worth making the trip to Madrona if you live on the Eastside or elsewhere in Seattle. I live in Madrona, so I walk by her windows daily to see what new and interesting things she picked up, but I make sure to stop in once or twice a week, because if you don’t buy that special something when you see it, it will be gone soon! Definitely check Nena out!

This is my go to shop for gifts, especially for hard to buy for people. Even if I walk in without a clue what I’m looking for, Nena is armed with a handful of cute suggestions. She really does have something for everyone here, even dads who don’t want anything or best friends who already have everything. There’s a good mix of carefully selected vintage items and fun new things too. You can usually find Nena in the back retouching one of her new vintage items– she makes sure every inch is perfect before selling something(case in point: the weeks she spent adding hand-beaded fringe to a vintage peacock evening bag!) There’s something for everyone in her shop, but even if your not shopping for anything in particular, Nena is always good for a healthy dose of positive energy and a friendly chat! Your sure to get a tour of her new favorite acquisitions, and probably find something you can’t live without in the process.

This is a sweet little shop run by none other than Nena herself. It’s full of unique things that are very affordable. Nena hits estate sales –she’ll tell you that she sleeps there so she’ll be the first one to have her choice of things — which means so will you! She also has new items — I bought a very cool cast iron hand to put on my wall and hang my necklaces. It’s a great place to buy birthday gifts. I stop by to browse before I hit yoga.
