I’ve walked by the Mad Pizza further down Madison a few times, but I didn’t realize there was one further east. I stopped in here on a hot day a couple weeks ago on my way back from the beach. Prices were reasonable, and the vegetable slice I had was pretty good. Overall a decent place. I’d probably come back.

Ordered a pizza over the phone for pickup. Showed up and they didnt get the order. Outsourcing or centralizing order taking could make sense but only if it works. The pizza dude found my order and gave me a few slices for the screw up(couldnt wait for the pie to be made and cooked) — that was cool and gets 5 stars for customer service. This review is for the IT guys or outsourcer that needs to fix things.(but the free slices that had been hanging around the warmer all afternoon were not very good)

I cannot say enough good things about this place! The neighborhood is safe and fun to walk around — it is close to the beach which is great in the summer. Pizza is amazing and you can get it by the slice which is very convenient. The Mad Chopper salad is also a must try! Amazing place to take the family.

Mad Pizza is in business because they have a great location. Their pizza is nothing special and their staff are often obnoxious, seeming annoyed to have to talk with customers at times. Because I live in the neighborhood and I have an eleven year-old son, we go there a couple of times a month and I dread it. If Elemental Pizza(U VIllage) opened a location across the street, Mad Pizza would be out of business in a month.

Mad Pizza is one of a couple places in Madison Park where I can quickly get some food and return with about 20 minutes left in my lunch break… And I only eat here when I absolutely have no other choice. The staff is pretty nice, mostly they’re too stoned to care. The pizza itself is pretty substandard, most of the slices available are(at any one given time) a couple hours old. If they did a better job of rotating them out and offering a selection of something other than cheese or pepperoni, I’d likely come by more often. This place could also use a serious, serious deep clean– theres a pretty solid layer of gunked on… stick… to the place that some pressure washing and detergent would do wonders to getting rid of.

My college buddy Mark started this joint years ago. he poured his heart into it and the pizza and salad attracted the whole of Madison Park… back then it was 5 stars. now Pudge brothers in Wallingford is better than this place. I miss waht you created Mark.

This pizza was not tasty. At all. It was mostly giant bubbles and tough crust. The toppings offered little flavor, and I just ended up throwing most of my slices away both times I was dragged in to eat here. It was quite apparent why the employees looked bored out of their minds both times… neither of them were looking forward to eating their lunch there! I was really hoping this would be some cute little pizza place, considering it’s in the cute [expensive] neighborhood of Madison Park. I doubt even the people in the nearby prisonesque apartments eat here.

So this gets a 4 stars based on all the other pizza in Seattle. I like the artisan/Neapolitan style pizza around here, but my husband can’t stand it and just wishes there was a good old Jet’s. Since there is not, we have been scouring to find something even marginally close to regular pizza that is not as horrible as Pizza Hut or Dominos. Though we are still working out the toppings, the overall pizza is good. Good amount of sauce, good crust. It is pricey but then again all pizza that’s any good around here is.

Love it!!! I go quite frequently and upon entrance, they already know what I want. The pizza is always good. Everyone is always with smiles.

Ok, so I know you west coasters don’t really know good pizza. It’s ok. But Mad Pizza is just beyond disgusting. We just moved from outside of Philadelphia, where pizza is good. So when we came here, we knew it wouldn’t be the same, so we lowered our expectations but this doesn’t even deserve to be called pizza. Ugh. Barf. Vomit. First of all, it is ridiculously expensive. Some of their pizzas are $ 25.00! That is insanity. When we got the pizza home, it actually LOOKED pretty good, but looks can be deceiving. The sauce ruined this pizza. It was SO overly seasoned. I think they just dumped a whole container of italian seasoning into the sauce thinking that made it «authentic». I’ve got news for you guys, most authentic east coast pizza doesn’t have any of that crap in the sauce. There was so much of that, I couldn’t taste anything else. It was horrible. Even if I was totally drunk, hungover, or dying of hunger, I wouldn’t eat this.

I used to be a fan of Paglliachi Pizza, UNTIL I tried Mad Pizza. The prices are on par with Pag, however, the quality and taste are far superior. The dough is simply superb, the ingredients used are fresh, and the specialty pizza’s show how imagination and artistry are at work. Whether you are a vegetarian or a meat lover, Mad Pizza delivers quality, friendliness, and plenty of variety. Try their unbelievable salads, mac and cheese(which is made with Beechers cheese!), or their hot wings if you are not in the mood for a pizza pie. You wont be disappointed!

I am very disappointed in Mad Pizza. I saw a review that claimed that they were gluten-free. But, just to be safe, I called to confirm that they were in fact not using gluten in their pizzas. The nice man I talked to confirmed it. So, I ordered pizza from them, but it really tasted like wheat. To make this story a touch longer, I was looking for the review that talked about them being gluten-free, but couldn’t find it. I called again, as it made me concerned that they had changed their recipe. This time, they told me that they’d never been gluten-free and had no idea where I got the idea. It was rude and insensitive, not to mention really concerning considering the number of people with real allergies to gluten and how sick it can make them. I will never order from them again or recommend them and hope no one else has this kind of circumstance come up for them.

Boo Mad Pizza! After a long day of cleaning and organizing our Mom’s house my siblings and I wanted some nice hot pizza! We ordered at 12:00 and by 1:00 there was no pizza in sight, we even called to check on it and we’re put on hold for 10 min. and then they told us the pizza was on it’s way and would be in in our hungry belly’s in no time. Well 20 min. later the pizza finally arrived, BURNT! Yes I know it’s cooked on a stone, blah, blah, blah. But this was black on the bottom and black on the top burnt, we were too hungry to wait for a replacement so we swallowed our charcoal pizza and washed away the taste of burning with some soda. The kicker is that when we called to complain they argued with us over whether or not the pizza was burnt! So even though we now have a credit for a free pizza we’ll NEVER be ordering from there again.

Look, I’m a Mad Pizza Frequent Flyer. Tonight, for a change, we decided to eat in. Blame the out of town relatives. What happened to the five star Mad Madison Park we knew? 1 large salad(to split) and a Large Prozac Pie. One Beer. One Coke. $ 42. OK, it was enough food for 4 – 5 people, not THAT bad. But here’s the thing. After we all ate a piece, we noticed that the pie was NOTCOOKED in the middle. I mean, NOTEVENCLOSE. It wasn’t THAT busy. They did the honorable thing — took the pizza off our bill. But for gosh sakes, what’s going on over there? I really liked the old cooked crusts of days gone by. This doughy mass has convinced my wife that our Mad days are over, that they’ve started cutting corners or something. After two or three hundred pizzas, now they’re going all white bread on us? I’ll give them a chance to redeem themselves. But it may be a while. {{sniff}}

Nom nom nom… Watching the depressing Husky game yesterday my friends and I decided we needed some pizza to go along with the Red Hook keg leftover from Halloween. After a not so quick Google search we found MAD Pizza and ordered a «MAD Life Crisis» which made me laugh out loud when my friend ordered it on the phone(I thought it was a joke). When it arrived it was quickly devoured — the large definitely wasn’t big enough for 5 people. I wanted more — the roasted garlic cloves on top was the icing on the cake. Yummmmmm.

After a quest to find local pizza delivery that tasted fresh, we found Mad Pizza. The delivery was quick, the price moderate and the pizza delicious! :)
