Bella has been in the neighborhood a little over a year now. I’ve been wanting to give it a try. Unfortunately, it wasn’t what I had hoped. Pros Kind staff Tasty food, but… — Small portions for the Fresh Spring Rolls — Mostly noodles and not many toppings for the Vermicelli Cons Bill was HUGE — At least $ 10 more than normal order at any other authentic Phở restaurant. Big push to order off the Tea Menu. that way they can charge you $ 5.00 for a single tea bag in a teapot. Dirty floors and outdoor tables even though restaurant just opened. Next timeI I’m craving Vietnamese food, I’ll head over to Capital Hill to Ballet or Monsoon instead.

Really over priced! Banh mis should cost $ 3 – 4 not $ 10. And when we ordered them, there was barely any meat. The phở was good however.

I’ve been here a few times now. The service is friendly, the food is good, and the ambience is nice for a small space. My only concerns are that(1) it is definitely a lot pricer than other Vietnamese cafes in the city; and(2) sometimes they are a little skimpy on their meat/tofu proportions in their vermicelli bowls/buns. But, it is great to have a little more food diversity in the Madison Park neighborhood(maybe that’s why prices are a bit higher!) and I’ve enjoyed my meals.

This a great spot for a casual dinner in the park. We had the vermicelli with shrimp and the lemon grass beef salad — simply prepared with fresh vegetables and perfectly grilled meat. Quick and friendly service — it’s becoming our weekly go to spot.

Went here for lunch today for the fresh chicken spring rolls and fried sweet potato fries. My husband and I live in Madison Park and frequent Bella Viet for these two items. Today our portions were depressing. The fresh rolls had hardly any chicken when in the past the chicken extends the whole length of the roll. The sweet potato fries did not even cover the bottom of the to go box. Maybe they are cutting costs??? We will now be going elsewhere for a quick lunch in the neighborhood.

Moving from U district to Madison Park was an easy transition, but since then I have been missing my regular phở… Bella Viet is walkable and tasty. Their veggie phở is not the best in Seattle but it is pleasent. The waiter was very sweet and the food was good, but $ 10 for a bowl of Phó certainly reminds me I’m in Madison Park and not U district anymore… I think I’ve ordered take out like 3 times since they opened and I think there food is just okay.

Well this is a perfect spot for a nice lunch in Madison park. The phở has great seasoning. The oxtail is particularly good and really has nice flavor. The chicken wings were crispy and light and really tasty. The banh mi has nice light french bread and nice pickled vegetables so a nice take on a very traditional item. The restaurant is light and friendly with nice skylighting. While we were sad to see MADD pizza go for the tradition, this new addition adds so much to the variety down here.

Dynamite in almost every way: PROS — Decent vegetarian options, including good vegetarian phở — Lovely service, nice menu, plus bubble tea — Nice, quiet street with easy parking — Very clean restaurant — Looking forward to outdoor seating in the summer CONS — If they would put a few more fresh rolls on the platter for the same price, I’d give them 5-stars for sure

I don’t think I’ll ever go back to this place. Their portions are way too small for what the price is for them. A really small bowl of phở is 10 $, and spring rolls are 7.00 and up. Same with their sandwiches, which are like 10 $. I think it is ridiculous and the phở is not all that great, coming from a Vietnamese person. Service is ok, but we were the only customers in there at the time so can’t really say much about that. But all in all, too pricey and small.

This is a charming new place in Madison Park. The interior is lovely – I got take-out, but waited inside for a few minutes for my order, which was ready quickly. The person who helped me was really friendly and helpful. My vermicelli was great. The price was a bit steep, as most are in the neighborhood.

Found this nice surprise today when I was across the street for some coffee today. My quick coffee-break unintentionally became my lunch-break. They have a parking lot which is a huge bonus in this area, esp. on weekends. The restaurant is brand spanking new, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Service was fast, and I got my phở tai and thai tea in no time. The most important thing about phở tai to me is the soup and the noodles; and they really have it going on; really ‘clean’ tasting broth and fresh noodles with good texture. The thai tea was very tasty, but what thai tea isn’t? I enjoyed my lunch and shall be back!

I am a local of Madison Park and I was very excited to welcome this new restaurant to the neighborhood. To be completely fair, we tried them on their first week of business. We ordered some banh me‘ sandwiches to go. My first impression of the space was it was small, but cozy. It’d be the perfect atmosphere to grab phở on a rainy day. Their menu was simple, but the point and perfect for the size of the restaurant. Onto the food we tried. They were good and tasty. The ingredients tasted fresh. The only downside I saw was the price point– the sandwiches were way overpriced for what I’m used to paying for Vietnamese sandwiches in other places that are on par with taste and quality. The prices of the other items seem reasonable, but I can’t review taste since I didn’t try them yet.

Good tastes; fresh ingredients, simple atmosphere and presentation combine to make a decent meal in the place that suitable for business lunch or/and romantic dinner. FOOD absolutely delicious. P/s: service leaves a great to be desired.

To be fair, i came for dinner on their 5th day open. I think they are still getting a lot of the«lets check out the new spot in Madison Park» traffic so i wont comment on the service. Total capacity is 20 in this place so don’t come with a group. It seems like they are doing equal parts dine in and take out. I will probably try take out next time. The egg rolls we had were average(our neighbors fresh rolls looked better). The phở comes in one size, and i would say its on the small side for the price if you compare it to Than Bros. The broth for the beef phở was solid though, so i will be back for the convenience factor for sure! Pros Solid phở Wide range of hot tea selections Bubble tea Much needed addition to Madison Park! Cons Tiny space, go on a date, don’t bring a group Street parking

We are so excited to welcome Bella to the neighborhood! We were warmly welcomed by the owners as it’s just three days open. The Fresh Spring Rolls w/Tofu were delicious, just the right balance of greens and tofu with a tasty peanut sauce. The Lemon Grass Beef Banh Mi was outstanding! So often it’s the bread that fails mi’s, but wow it all just worked. A hint of lemon at the right moments. I really look forward to more meals both here and takeout!

Called and was asked to go on hold. They sat the phone somewhere(I could hear everything) while I sat waiting for someone for 10 minutes. I finally gave up, tried calling back for 30 minutes, only to a busy sign(probably still have the phone off the hook sitting on the counter). Poor first impression, get your operations together.

These guys are going to be around a long time. I loved their Rock and Roll Beef dish, and the Beef Phở. Will probably go back again tomorrow :)

What a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. The were doing a strong business on opening night, both for takeout and dine-in customers. The servers seemed a little stressed by the pace of the orders but remained unfailingly pleasant and kept up with the flow. A high class problem to have. The prawn fresh rolls were flavorful. The pork vermicelli bowl had good flavor and texture with warm pork and noodles and cold crisp veggies. The«rock and roll» beef salad was very tasty and — despite menu descriptions — not very spicy. The beef was tender and plentiful and the toasted garlic divine. The prices are exceedingly reasonable; the two of us ate well for $ 38(with 20% tip). No chopsticks were offered; it appears you have to ask. There are also no condiments on the table so if you want to spice up your food you may have to ask what’s possible. Overall, we LOVEDIT.
