Had lunch here one day & breakfast another day. Extremely friendly staff. Had the salmon with veggies for lunch. Salmon was delicious, although the veggies were extremely bland. Yes, they’re veggies, but they can have some flavor! For breakfast, had the market breakfast. Everything was good. No complaints. Hit the spot. Very convenient location. Great views!

Great service, great view, and could not decide which one was better the food or the drinks. It’s seems smaller from the outside than in and almost missed the entrance while looking at all the fresh fish inside the market but you can order at the counter and eat on the first or third floor(which has the best view from what I have heard) or go to the second floor for table service. Since I was on vacation definitely want to be waited on. Our server(forgot her name but she was average height, brunette girl who was born and raised in Seattle so had some tips for us). If you get seated by the window your lucky but we were only a table over and got a great view still! We were fatties and ordered their clam chowder and calamari as starters and still ordered entrees for ourselves on top of drinks. So delicious I’ll let the pictures do the talking!

Awesome waterfront dining with reasonable prices… had the Northwest Crab Melt and the Chili Shrimp Tacos — both were amazing! Definitely try this place if you are visiting the market!

Very good lunch there! I had the seafood grill and there was lots of options on that plate and everything was delicious!!! The staff was friendly and we had a good view of the water as we ate. I would definitely come back to this location.

Got the Dungeness Crab Melt. Fresh and decent amount of crab meat. Excellent fries. Loved to have the option of self-service and that you could see the open grill. Minus is for a real seafood lover, not sure having the crab this way is the best. I won’t order it again. Other options look fantastic: seafood salad, fish taco, crab roll.

My mom told me that I had to go here… I wasn’t that impressed. Let me start with the people. They were nice enough, but everyone looked like they didn’t want to be there. I got my food and everything I needed. But that’s about it. The food was really fresh which was best part! It was like they went downstairs to the market and get the things you order! The other thing is that it’s convenient, it’s right inside the Pike Place market! I will give this place one more try because their food was so delicious. I had the smoked salmon Benedict and even without the hollandaise sauce it was so delicious! :) my sister had the French toast and it was so fluffy. It was like biting into a cloud! YUM!!! The breakfast tacos were very flavorful! So many different flavors and quality ingredients!

This is my go to spot for sweeping, gorgeous views of Puget Sound and sunsets in Pike Place Market. With three floors of tables, you have a very good chance of eating their delicious food, or sipping one of their expertly crafted cocktails while gazing out over the water. Try the Reuben sandwich, their salads, or virtually anything else on the menu. I’ve yet to be disappointed with any selection on their menu. The staff is always busy, as the restaurant is ALWAYS packed, but they’re still always helpful and courteous. Be prepared to wait for a table. Always. And during the weekends, during typical busy times for eating, expect to wait for up to 45 minutes. As long as everyone in your party is willing and able to wait, they are definitely worth trying, at least once.

Zero stars, thanks to Stephanie’s rudeness. added an extra drink i didn’t order there was a group of us who ordered apps, i ordered last. everyones food came and mine was missing, when i asked her to cancel my order(because everyone had already eaten), she argued it was my fault for ordering last.

Hidden gem in the market! I’ve only gone here for breakfast and have had hash browns, eggs, bacon, sausage and toast. Although simple classic breakfast fare, it did not disappoint! The view on the third floor is awesome– you have all of Puget Sound and the wheel, its a great spot to enjoy a meal and view! I also like how this is a family run business and the fact that you can’t save seats until you’ve ordered, this never seems to be a problem anyway, as tables seem to turn over fairly quickly. Stamp of approval.

I come here for breakfast at the second floor bar pretty much whenever I visit family in Seattle(maybe a couple times a year). The tables in the bar may be the smallest booths ever devised by man or machine, the food is «ok», and it can be a wait… but it is one of the better places at Pike Place Market to eat as the price is pretty reasonable($ 14.00 for the Farmer’s Breakfast for example which has 3 eggs, bacon, ham AND sausage, hashbrowns and toast) and the service is good(great job, Michael!) Sometimes, we sit in the area with windows and look out over the Puget Sound… it’s a great view on a clear day. Mostly, I go to Lowell’s because it was there before I ever heard of Seattle, and will likely be there well after I’m dead and it doesn’t change… it’s consistent and comforting. Seattle may well be the land of impending skyscrapers and $ 2,500.00 rent for a one bedroom apartment, but Lowell’s is untouched by those mundane realities, and waits to serve up stiff drinks and decent fare to those requiring such… that’s reason enough to go there!

The food here is pretty bland and mediocre, especially since you pay a decent price. I would expect fish and chips in Seattle, at Pike Place Market, no less, to be pretty good, if not great, bordering on awesome. Instead, I got greasy, bland fish with soulless tartar sauce and lukewarm fries. Flagship white cheddar burger was a little better than one you’d get in a sports stadium. Just flavorless, oily, and overpriced. I will say that the seating is great. Beautiful views of the water, and a good amount of tables even when it’s busy. The views alone were worth stopping in for. Maybe grab an appetizer and wine or dessert and coffee and spend some time enjoying the view… That’s probably the best way to enjoy Lowell’s.

YO. YOOOOOO. You must get Dungeness Crab Melt. Usually with crab and shellfish sandwiches you except little measly scraps with cheese and mayo but this melt is ALL crab. This is a must try. Swap out the tomato bacon jam for fresh tomato. Another overlooked bright spot on the menu is the chicken apple salad with maple chili dressing. I don’t know why this restaurant doesn’t get more hype compared to others in Pike Place but it’s legit!

While at Pike Place Market Phil made it very clear that he wanted to have something with seafood in it but by the time we finished walking around a lot of the smaller places were either closing or filling up. We stumbled upon Lowell’s Restaurant and tucked in because a) the food looked pretty decent, and b) they had a spectacular view from the top floor. We sat on the third level in what appeared to be the watering hole; smaller groups of quiet people drinking heavily. When we figured out there was no table service on that floor we took in the last of the view then headed back downstairs to order. We both got the fish tacos and in all sincerity, they were amazing. Super tasty, not huge but just enough to fill you up. They were a perfect ending to the day. Would we go back to Lowell’s Restaurant next time we’re in Seattle? Darn tootin’ we would. The free postcard to send back home was a nice touch too.

We had lunch at Lowell’s on our first day in Seattle. Lowell’s is located inside the Pike Place Market across from the Market Grill. This restaurants has three floors so we chose to dine on the second floor which offers tables with a fantastic view of the waterfront. We began with some Crispy Calamari Strips that were amazing. The benefit of eating at Pike Place Market is that there’s no doubt you’re getting fresh seafood. The batter was light so you really got the true flavor of the calamari. For my entrée, I decided on the Tiger Prawns & Chips. I noticed that most restaurants in Seattle offer Prawns instead of shrimp and that’s a good thing because you are getting a larger and more flavorful crustacean. The portions are generous so come hungry! My father had the Wild Alaskan King Salmon Filet and he was blown away by how it was prepared and the flavor. I am not a fan of Salmon but it must have been good because my parents came back to Lowell’s a few days later without me. Service was attentive and accurate and our server explained everything on the menu as well as the specials. She also gave us some background on the restaurant which opened in 1957. Lowell’s is also known for their breakfast options and from what I was told, people love their variations of Eggs Benedicts. I would’ve loved to try some Dungeness Crab Eggs Benedict but time when you only have four days, it’s not enough time to see and do everything this beautiful city has to offer.

This is a great spot that I normally take out of town friends or Couchsurfers. It’s right in the belly of Pike Place Market, so it’s super convenient for people to come and peruse and then eat or vice versa. Come to think of it, I have only been here with out-of-towners. The breakfast is amazing! You’re probably looking for something that’s filling and will hit that gut nice and good. Hey, you’re walking it off all day anyway right? Indulge! I’m a huge fan of Eggs Benedict. This place makes them among the higher percentile of Benedicts I’ve defeated, but not the best-best. They do have several options, many of the seafood, which offers the out-of-owners a chance to eat seafood. Everytime I’ve been here, the service has been friendly and relatively quick, even when it is crowded which is almost always because of the location. Tourist prices. Seattle prices. But worthwhile because it’s a place that your out-of-owners will appreciate. Just talking about it makes me hungry.

We were at Pike Market for the day and just had to try one of the restaurants there for lunch. We looked at several places but, decided on Lowell’s when we saw the menu. They had a very nice variety of seafood and other dishes. I ordered the Crab Chowder and the Mixed Grill which was grilled salmon, shrimp, vegetables and a crab cake. The chowder had huge chunks of crab and was thick, creamy, hot and delicious. The Grill plate was a delicious. My wife ordered the Fish & Chips. The Cod was lightly breaded and very good and the plate was overfilled with french fries. Also very delicious. We sat up on the 3rd floor where the views are spectacular.

I was roaming around downtown Seattle looking for a place to have breakfast. All the usual hot Unilocal spots were packed to the gills. What’s a poor soul to do? We went to Lowell’s. This is not your uptown eating establishment… not even close. I saw some very strange things here I won’t repeat on Unilocal for fear of having my review deleted(That’s happened a lot lately). Still, the food was hot, prompt and reasonably priced. Can’t complain much!

HH Review: Don’t let the fact that Lowell’s is located in the über touristy Pike Place Market dissuade you. They offer real deal, legit food and drinks — and you’re not going to overpay. Promise. Smack dab in the center of the Market, L’s has 3 levels: first level counter ordering, second level full-service bar area, third level seating with great views of the water and mountainscape. I highly recommend visiting the bar on the second floor for happy hour. They offer some really great cocktails; lots of meddling of fresh fruit and herbs, and a very good and interesting selection of house-infused liquors makes for some pretty amazing cocktails, plus the friendliest bartender ever to boot(yay Tina! Xo!). The«Peartini» is to die for! They also have an impressive selection of local craft beers that changes regularly. L’s admittedly has some of the best Clam Chowder I’ve ever had, and yes I’m even comparing it to San Francisco’s Pier 51 offerings and other joints throughout Emerald City — only five bucks for a cup during HH! Thick consistency with the right amount of bacon — yummy!!! Also enjoyed the perfectly golden-brown Salmon Cakes, not greasy, served with a tasty, fresh slaw. Lowell’s is a fantastic spot to take a break from all the shopping and sightseeing on the cheap, let your puppies take a rest, and be entertained by the bartender, the local folks who are regulars here(yes, there are several), and tourists alike. Cheers! Tips: Seating is first come, first serve on all levels. HH is 4pm to close(varies per day and season) 7 days a week… call ahead to check closing times. [144 in 2015]

Come for the view and to experience the market. The lines and the food are not for locals and frequent visitors. Come in pairs, not large parties and skip the line out front, making your way to the 2nd floor bar. There’s rarely a full bar, you get a decent view and the full menu is available. If you must, there’s a TV to distract you. Since its the bar, leave the kiddos at home. They would not be happy waiting for a table anyway. Bloody up with Chili Mary, a somewhat spicy mix of serrano infused vodka for $ 10. This is a good mary. The menu is simple and pricy. «?Traditional?» Breakfast Tacos with chorizo, online menu quotes $ 13.75 but in actuality, it’s $ 14.50 and not worth $ 10. It’s a very small portion of what they think is traditional with two eggs on two tortilla sets with some cheese and pico. You are obviously paying for the view in a tourist destination. With a city full of great food for reasonable prices, Lowell’s falls lower based mostly on the cost. If you’ve never been here, give it a shot, my guess is you’ll only go once. There’s much better value out there.

Preislich ebenfalls ok.
