I should’ve read these reviews closer, and I should’ve realized there were only 15 reviews. Instead, I quickly saw 4 stars and ordered for take out. Biggg mistake. We ordered a green papaya salad, which was pretty flavorless and the green papaya was actually chewy(?), which I’ve never had before. Imagine chewing the papaya and its so loud that you can’t hear yourself think. Typically, it’s crisp, the peanuts are crushed(not thrown on whole), and tastes bright, since it’s flavored with lime and other tangy goodness. Didn’t get any of these. The red curry was pretty bland, which is sad, it had OK flavor, but needed to be times one thousand. You could see the indentations on the tofu, like it just came out of the package. Definitely not memorable, which is tragic for curry. Who doesn’t love Thai curries?! The Kang Fa, I didn’t even realize was supposed to be a soup(didn’t read that way on the menu), is also just«meh», to be entirely honest, doesn’t even taste Thai. I didn’t know I was ordering a soup, and it had a very odd, almost Chinese like flavor. Not thrilled, as I’m really not a fan of Chinese. I will be honest, I doubt that I will go back, despite the other high reviews(3 bad dishes out of 3 means to me seems consistent). Sadly, this has got to be the worst Thai I’ve ever eaten.

Order food from delivery. It was downright awful. The curry had the consistency of a thin soup. The Crab Rangoon tasted of really old frier oil and everything was cold. Three strikes in one meal. Lame.

This is a true little gem in the University District and brings a different take on Thai from some of the other places in the area. As a plus, they have delicious food and no wait at all! There is fresh, modern and clean décor! I really liked the vibe overall(although the boxing match that was on was a bit much for me… but there seemed to be a loyal following of people who frequented this place just to see the fights). The service was great and it seemed like there was a mini community among the patrons. The phad pet was absolutely delicious and they had very generous portions. They have a full bar so I am a little jealous that there is this new, classier option for getting a drink out with friends. I wish this was here when I was a student at UW!

This place is still new. I came in a couple of month ago with friends to try its HH. On its website, it listed HH from 3pm to 7pm and all dishes for $ 4. We stopped by shortly after 6pm but were told the HH is actually from 3 — 6pm. The other day, I was planning to try HH again, but they changed the HH to 3−5pm and all dishes are $ 5. Very confusing! So I finally made my way here. You have to ask for the HH menu because they do not automatically give you the HH menu even if you come in during HH. It got more confusing from there. I was given the regular menu and most dishes are around $ 7 to $ 8. I asked for the HH menu and was given a HH menu. The HH menu has a shorter list of entrée/food options but the price is still the same. For example, pad thai is listed $ 7.29 on the regular menu, and it is also listed $ 7.29 on the HH menu. I asked the waiter how does the HH work. He told me that if I order from the HH menu and everything will be in a smaller portion and costs only $ 5. Essentially, HH menu offers less options. For example, the regular menu offers green/yellow/red/panang curry(for $ 7.29). But the HH menu only offers green/red curry(for $ 5). If you go with the regular menu, they also give you a free cup of egg drop soup. It was a rainy day and I decided to try the regular entrée with soup instead of the HH options. My friend tried the HH pad thai. We were served pretty fast. I also ordered the Thai iced tea. Thai iced tea was pretty good. As always, the ice cubes fill up over 2⁄3 of the cup. I did not expect the free soup to be served in a big cup but I was still pretty surprised but how small the cup was: The panang curry was perhaps the highlight of my meal. I got a couple of scoops of rice. The curry was really good. Chicken meat tasted a little funny as in it did not taste like real chicken. It came with a couple of slices of green and red peppers. My friend’s pad thai was only okay. The noodles were surprisingly thin. I have never really seen such thin noodles served in pad thai before. I got my bill and was able to get 10% off with Unilocal check-in. When I showed the check-in to the waiter, he told me he needed to check with his boss and then offered the discount. However, when I was looking at the bill, I noticed they over charged the thai iced tea. They charged me $ 2.75 even though the menu listed it as $ 2.5. I asked him about it and he went back to his boss to double check the price. Even though it was not a big deal and mistakes happen, I was still a little surprised that no apologies were offered. The staff seem very nice though. The place seems pretty trendy. They also have a bar seating area. It seems like they host dance nights here as well. I have been devastated ever since Tara Thai cancelled its HH menu. I have been looking for some alternative Thai places on the Ave. I think I will return here. Next time, I will skip the free soup offer and order from the HH menu.

Generally I’m really an easy-to-please kind of person. I don’t care if food is late, or a little off-temperature, etc. That kind of stuff happens. However, I ordered a few things from Limelight tonight and it pretty much sucked. The delivery guy couldn’t find my building, despite the fact that I repeatedly told him over the phone that it was the only white brick building on the street. I ended up having to come out and walk an entire block in the rain to get my food from him. That would have been pretty crappy even if it was the only thing that went wrong, but when I got back to my apartment I found that all of my food was ice cold. :(I ended up reheating it all on the stove, since we don’t have a microwave, which kind of defeated the entire purpose of ordering delivery. The food was all right, though pretty bland and disappointing. I got the pad thai, which tasted of nothing, beef salad, which tasted of nothing but lime juice, and some spring rolls that were sadly only iceberg lettuce and a tiny wedge of tofu wrapped in rice paper. It seems like these guys are a new establishment, so I really hope that they figure out their delivery system eventually! But I definitely won’t order from them again.

My boyfriend and I came in here before they were *fully* established. At first I thought, «Yet another Thai place?» But we decided to try it out… Came in during happy hour(4 dollars a plate) and got ‘blanket shrimp’(which I think my boyfriend now dreams about instead of me) and we each got some fried rice. Their menu has a lot more variety than any of the other Thai places that I’ve been to, plus they now have liquor since I last went there. On top of the good prices and delicious food, the waitress that served us was insanely sweet… You can never beat good customer service.

Love this place, recently opened. Love the ambience — real warm, cozy and trendy interior. The food is amazing, at a great price and real good service. They have a real good DJ spinning a great variety of music. On some nights of the week they have Latin nights, which are great nights to watch some of the local talent heat up the dance floor. I spend a lot of time in coffee shops in university district area and love ending my evening here for some dancing, food and drinks.

This place was surprisingly good! Located right next to Thai Tom, I think they have difficulty getting customers. The pad Thai was the best I’ve had on the ave! I didn’t like the chicken satay, though. It tasted like Indian food and was a bit too tangy for my tastes. Still worth a stop! Great prices!

I went on a night that they were playing salsa music and the place was packed! They play amazing music at nights and the kitchen stays open until 11pm. We ordered chicken skewers and egg rolls as a light appetizer before dancing and it was a well spent $ 4! The staff was very friendly and they make everyone feel like family! Highly recommend for a fun night out with a cozy atmosphere :)
