Hands down, this is my favorite place to eat in Seattle. I’ve been coming here at least once a week for the past two years. The roast chicken club sandwich is awesome and it always comes with a unique side salad. The service is awesome and the owner always refills my iced tea. I’ve had a couple of the juices too, but for me the food and the friendly staff are the stars. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Finally made the choice to hit this place up, and it did not disappoint! This place offers fresh, organic, healthy options that make you feel good about your food choices. I ordered the roast turkey sandwich, which tasted like Thanksgiving leftovers. Freshly cut turkey squished between a fluffy ciabatta bun and a honey mustard that adds the right amount of sweetness to the dish… hard to beat if you ask me. Being that they are known as a juice bar, it was only fitting that I try one of their freshly made juices. I instantly was drawn to their refresher, as I am a grapefruit fiend. Not reading the rest, I ordered it on the spot. While I watched the juicing process ensue, I realized the person added fennel to it. FENNEL. Pause. Hm? To my surprise, it was damn good! Who woulda thunk of adding fennel?! Genius. Friendly/cool/retro staff, with excellent customer service. Make sure to come with something to keep you occupied, as the wait can take bit, depending on your order. Other than that, you’re in good hands!

Tuna melt!!! Oh my word, even if you don’t like tuna, this sandwich will change you. They have really good juices and smoothies also. The owner is super kind and remembers her customers — the other day she gave me a free cookie because it’d been a while since we’d seen each other Great food/drink. Amazing customer service. Hard to beat that.

Only friend Kim chi fried rice I’ve ever had and god damn it blew my socks off! Perfectly seasoned for a light and healthy meal that tastes like you’re Korean auntie cooked it for you on your birthday. I also get the tofu sandwich which is smothered in house made slaw with a hint of tang from the pickled cabbage vinegar. Another great healthy lunch option that makes the body feel good. They also have tons of options for fresh smoothies, ginger beer, regular beer and the stand sandwiches like BLT, Reuben, ham, etc. Proud to have this as my neighborhood joint. Kee it up!

Great service and love this environment, but I got incredibly sick the last time I ate there. I usually get the Northwestern, so maybe the fish is ok, but I got their Roasted Chicken Sandwich yesterday and got super sick. Not sure where they get their meats, and I probably should have asked. I am on a particular diet so this is probably not the case for most people, but I would ask about the meats if you are eating free range, grass fed, no hormones, antibiotic free, organic meats, because I do not react this way typically unless something is off. Really sweet service and I appreciate the business. I just may not be able to return after this experience :(

I had the best sandwich I have ever had in my life. Who ever made that sandwich is the Leonardo da Vinci of our time. For $ 12 you can share a sandwich with whoever and enjoy that chill environment.

Hands down my favorite eatery in Columbia City: incredibly fresh and inventive salads, sandwiches, soups, juices and even cocktails. The crew is friendly, always a great retro soundtrack. The best part — there’s not a big screen TV blasting commercials and polluting the environment. It’s peaceful, fun and you can have a conversation without needing to shout across the table. Take that — Salted Sea, Alehouse, Rookies, Island Soul. Also give these folks your business — it’s often too quiet and they deserve a line out the door.

Best sandwich I’ve had in ages: the special heirloom BLT. Perfectly warmed bread/roll, not too chewy, amazing heirlooms, just overall great. And the side salad of greens and a fresh house made dressing was great! Bonus: kids toys in the back that proved to be the best thing for our 13 mo old VERYACTIVE little boy. Bonus 2: great people watching and easy paid parking in the lot around the corner($ 1/hr).

The Good: Yummy, fresh tasting juices. The tuna melt sandwich was excellent! Loved the fig salad with vanilla bean vinaigrette(!) Staff was friendly and they had books/toys for the kids. My wife’s Mosc-Ito(half mojito half Moscow mule) was delicious! Dogs allowed at outside tables, with water bowl. The Bad: Outdoor tables are a little cramped, but not too bad. The Ugly: Nothing! I recommend this place for a yummy fresh bite if you’re in the area!

Delicious juices with plenty of options, friendly baristas who are happy to answer every question and offer suggestions. The sandwiches are freshly made and hot and delicious. One of my favorite places to swing by and grab something healthy before heading into work.

I am an avid juicer and this stuff was definitely as good or better than what I can make at home. I found the prices consistent with other organic restaurants like Chaco Canyon. Service was much faster than previous reviews said — not even 5 minutes before we received our juices. We were, however, the only customers at 5pm on a Friday. Comfortable, a little dimmer and stuffier than I prefer, but excellent friendly service and delicious product. We tried the Green gift from the gods and the Refresher and loved them both.

Let me tell you the secret of Jus Bar: they serve good food. I like juice and smoothies as much as the next Seattle-ite, but I come here for LUNCH. With creative cocktails. The sandwiches are all awesome, and the menu is vegetarian-friendly too: I have often walked a mile to eat the Cuban tofu sandwich. The side salads are always great too, with super-fresh greens and a vanilla vinaigrette that I crave. My only problem with Jus Bar? The name. It’s narrow and misleading, and probably makes this place more of a secret than it should be to a wider audience seeking yummy, healthy, ultra-fresh eats.

I can’t figure out why this place is rated so highly. When I went in there it was pretty dead, getting a couple of smoothies should be easy, right? Only if you don’t value your time. After 15 mins. of waiting I decided to go check on the status since making 2 smoothies really shouldn’t take that long — especially when the place isn’t even at ¼ capacity. When I got to the counter it was a bit of a mess. They had messed up one order and other people were looking impatient. Apparently my order was finished but had be left to rot. The look on the worker’s face told me that he knew he screwed up. Did he apologize or acknowledge that he screwed up? Nope! Just handed me my order as if everything was good. The smoothie itself was better than the service, but not good enough to make me want another one. The price tag on the experience makes it even worse — definitely not worth it.

Came in with my cousin for a quick replenishing. Tiana was awesome. Helpful in explaining the menu and nutritional benefits of each item. Great customer service. And exceptional juices! Try the CC Cleanse. And they had Jimi Hendrix playing. Jimi!!!

Swapped out mint for ginger in a juice blend for the anti-inflammatory effects of ginger. I wanted a lot of ginger. The person who made it didn’t want to overdo it, so made the juice — allowed me to taste it — and then when I said I could take more ginger he juiced some more. Great customer service, delicious juice, and in a fun neighborhood.

Tried a few of the their juices and smoothies. They’ve all been pretty good but not quite worth the price for me. If you don’t have a juicer then this would be a good option. Also, they’re a bit slow on their sandwiches so don’t go if you’re in a rush!

I had a hangover one morning and was craving something health to help me snap out of it. I had known the Jus Bar to be in existence but never really wanted to go to Columbia City to try them until now. I read the reviews on Unilocal and was prepared for a long wait for my order. Only one other person was eating there on a Monday afternoon. I got the Zingaa juice and the Cuban Tofu Sandwich and hoped for the best. Both items were way better than expected! Everything came in a timely manner. The prices are kind of high, but you’re paying for fresh produce. I can’t see spending $ 20 on a drink and sandwich all the time, but I’ll definitely go back for a health treat when the urge strikes again.

Who knew juice could taste so good?! I love the combinations this place has come up with and wish I could’ve tried them all. The Refresher was the perfect thing to have after a 10 mile walk. Service was fantastic(a bit long for just a cup of juice, but after you have your first sip, you understand why it took so long to craft that 12oz «juice of the gods.»). It is a bit pricey(about $ 7 for a medium-sized drink), but where else can you get juice like this? I would definitely come back.

I really love this little juice, smoothie, sandwich, and coffee spot right in the heart of Columbia City — and just over a block from my house! Fresh and local ingredients in everything, and a good selection of bottled beverages including a few beers(not all local in this case). They serve Caffe Vita coffee. I’ve always been partial to the Northwestern sandwich as well as the Roast Chicken Club, both of which come with a tasty and light arugula side salad. I need to try the soups some day. As for juices, I’ve had the Green Gift of the Gods and either the beet or carrot, can’t remember. The Green Smoothness smoothie is also good. I’m sure I would enjoy many others. I’ve always eaten there and find it relaxing, inside or out. The handful of small tables outside are great for when I have my dog with me, although he doesn’t like the loud noises of Rainier. The staff is super nice and friendly, always making sure you have everything you need. I do wish they were open a bit earlier on weekdays so I could grab a smoothie on the way to work. I’m usually headed for the light rail between 8 and 8:45, and they don’t open until 9. So that means I’m mostly here on weekends during the warmer months, when I think of having something cold and refreshing or a healthy sandwich in the sun. I could go for smoothies year-round if I was able to before work, but I understand being a private business you have to get your sleep too. :)
