Yep! These guys are wonderful people. I have been going to this coffee stand every day for a little over a year now. Their coffee is consistent, the service is outstanding, and the location is super convenient. I remember that after the second time driving through, the barista remembered my name AND my drink(mayan mochas are really good). My mornings wouldn’t be the same without them.

We stopped by this morning for some coffee during a slew of errands. The barista was very kind and we had a great conversation. Their coffee is really high quality, delicious! Our new spot instead of Starbucks!

I don’t usually stop at drive-thru coffee places, but stopped at Java Jazz this morning. I was behind one car, and one of the baristas popped out of the little house to take my order in advance of my getting to the window. Nice. She was friendly and did not look at me weird when I asked if they could make the Americano so that it wasn’t boiling when handed to me(unlike Starbucks). And while we’re on the subject of Starbucks, have you noticed that they always place the lid so that the drinking spout lines up with the seam on the cup, so it dribbles all over? What’s up with that? Enough about Starbucks. The Americano from Java Jazz was the perfect hot, but drinkable temperature. And as others have remarked, the sticker to keep splashes and spills at bay is a nice touch, not to mention the chocolate covered coffee bean. All in all, it was a great experience: friendly service, great cofee, easy in an out when you’re heading south.

This is my second visit, my first visit was amazing but today I encountered a very unpleasant barista. I don’t know what her name is but she had the most negative attitude. She rolled her eyes at me when I rolled up to the window, she was cursing while making my coffee, and she snapped at me when I asked what I owed her. Please talk to her and let her know that her attitude effected her tip, my mood and possibly the quality of the coffee because it tasted NOTHING like what I ordered.

What a wonderful change of pace to have a barista remember you and your order! My boyfriend and I are becoming regulars here and are never disappointed with the coffee or the service! We are treated like(coffee loving) humans, instead of just another order, like at any Starbucks. The chocolate covered beans on top of the drinks are an extra treat! Thank you for making our mornings awesome!

I’ve been to Java Jazz a few times. Service is always great, but coffee is just«meh» — the drip coffee tastes weak and diluted and mochas are very sweet. I order decaf and I can see the shots pouring from the window. I think people care less about how decaf shots pour. I don’t really want the shots when they gush and are finished in about 8 seconds. Unfortunately, they put them in my drink anyway. I’m not mad, and I didn’t have a terrible experience where I was left with a bad taste in my mouth because of snotty service or anything. I just like good coffee, and this place doesn’t do it for me. Maybe I’m a coffee snob, idk.

Favorite white chocolate mocha of all time. Great prices, great baristas, a chocolate covered coffee bean and a no spill sticker on every cup. If I had to list any fault it would be that they don’t keep later hours, I’ve many times longed for Java Jazz after work. Support small coffee business, visit JJ!

BLOODYRIPOFFMERCHANTS! This place is a total rip! Pulled up to get a small latte and the lady over charged me. $ 4.25 for a small latte. The menu posted outside, states small lattes as $ 1.90 Steer clear of this joint!

Love this place. Friendly baristas and cheap espresso. The only reason I’m taking a star off is because of how challenging it can be to get in and out of here because of the traffic on 15th Ave W.

So I’ve gone to this place 3 times in the past 2 years… Not once was I impressed. This place became my «last resort» coffee place. I never really cared enough to write a review until today. The reason they got any stars at all is because the first couple of times I went there, they were really friendly and personable. But the coffee every time was only so so… And their overall knowledge on how to pull a shot is not very good either. Today, rushing to work, I ordered an iced espresso w/a splash of non-fat… she went to hand it to me, and I noticed that it wasn’t non-fat, but more of a whole milk possibly even half and half due to the coloring. When I asked her if it was non-fat, she looked at me like I was out of line for asking. So she reluctantly made me another one and all was well until she gave me the total cost of my drink. $ 6.27??? Really? 6 dollars and some change for a mediocre espresso with a bad attitude? Absolute craziness… any coffee stand/hut/or big chain I’ve gone to, to get my coffee have I ever been charged more the $ 4.00(TOPS!!!) for my drink… not to mention the service is never an issue with the other places I’ve been.

This coffee stand is fast becoming my favorite. My husband and I have been meaning to try it for literally YEARS, as long as we have lived in Magnolia. Well, I got myself the tastiest Americano and am now hooked. Just the right price, perfect service and a little chocolate covered espresso bean on top just like I used to get years ago.

I’ve driven by this coffee hut several times, today I was desperate for caffeine and decided to stop. There was a car parked on one side of the hut blocking the window(the driver was not in or around the car). It was also hard to get the attention of the person working there. I ordered a regular mocha-it was average. I did however like the chocolate covered coffee bean on top and I really appreciated the sticker on the lid so it doesn’t spill.

Best Mayan Mocha ever(made with Café Vita coffee) = simply the best! Every trip to Seattle involves a special trip to Java Jazz, whether it’s on the way or not. Love it!

The coffee here isn’t the greatest, but it is certainly good, not to mention convenient if you’re heading south on 15th. What I like about Java Jazz is the quality of service, and the fact that they always remember your order. It’s also nice to take a break from Corporate Giant Coffee Company™ once in awhile. Plus, the ladies who own and run this place are amazing!

I’ve been stopping by Java Jazz for my morning coffee during my daily commute since I’ve moved to Ballard. It’s a cute little drive-thru coffee stand on 15th(west side of the street). The staff here is very friendly and I appreciate their attention to detail. The nice little touches such as a little coffee lid sticker to prevent splatters and spills while on the road as well as the chocolate-covered espresso bean with each order of coffee differentiate them from the other coffee stands out there.

Java Jazz is easy to miss since it’s on the side of the road of busy 15th street. I think I’d driven by it for several years before it actually registered that it wasn’t a car wash. But one day something changed and I did recognize that this was a drive-thru coffee stand and decided to check it out. This is an old-school drive-thru: no call-ahead orders over a speaker. If the line backs up, one of the baristas walks out of the booth to your car to inquire about your order. With this system they are pretty efficient; in fact, the line was moving quicker through here than the Starbucks down the street. As a bonus, the prices are a little cheaper and you get a free chocolate covered espresso bean as part of your order. I do like how they have the little smiley face sticker that goes across the opening of your coffee to prevent spillage. They have regular hours of 6 am to 3 pm and 7 am to 2 pm on the weekends. At the most recent trip, the line was moving quickly but they had a five-year old girl covering the window. Her mom was teaching her how to count change. The future of retail never looked so bright. As she counted back my change to me(correctly), I said«Good job! But you gave me one dollar too many» and handed her the tip. Apparently that was a little too dry, since she looked confused for a moment and then handed me back my dollar saying«No, no. I counted it right.» Of course, to kill that cute story, what actually ran through my head was a joke like«I was glad they hadn’t got to the part where they teach her how to be a bikini barista yet», but I didn’t want to get a visit from Chris Hansen.

Mmm caffe vita! Java jazz makes delicious coffee and they are almost always super fast. They even seem to have a system worked out where, if there are 3 or 4 cars lined up, one of them will come out to take your order and get it started so it will be ready by the time you get up to the window.
