This place is a gem. Tori, the owner, is incredibly sweet, professional, and felt like an old friend after just one visit. She was also incredibly skilled and detail oriented with my dye job. The proximity to cocktails is an added bonus. I will for sure be back.

Tori, the owner, is really talented at what she does! My cuts are amazing and her color skills are out of this world! Plus you can order an adult beverage and have your hair made pretty while listening to some rock n’ roll. What more can you ask for?

Tried them for my first time yesterday and totally got taken care of! Came in a little clueless about where I was going with my long hair, and was given great advice for growing it out a little further and care recommendations. After a shampoo and careful thinning/​forming I expecting a full haircut price but Jackie only charged me for a $ 15 trim!
They are super friendly and talented in there and I will definitely be coming back.

Love Ali! She is so down to earth and does great work (cut and color for me). I enjoy then airstream salon and how cozy and unpretentious it is (it’s only ‘airs’ are in airstream). Trust me I have visited pretentious places, even enjoyed myself, but will not go back after finding this gem.

I love The Idol Airstream! Miss Jackie and Miss Ali are quite possibly the coolest, friendliest, most talented lady stylists in Georgetown, if not of all Seattle.
Jackie Rocha has been my number one in turning my crazy and wild hair fantasies into reality. Whether I want to shave my head, go platinum (she’s the best bleach n tone in town FYI), get extensions (she’s the ish at that too), or go creative color, she’s always had my back and I’ve ALWAYS left thrilled.
She’s always able to schedule me out or find a way to fit me in. But I’ve seen her kindly accommodate walk-​ins as well!
The Idol salon is located CONVENIENTLY on the property of a bar, The Blu Grouse. So while I’m bleaching my ish, I toss back margaritas. PERFECTION. Or nibble on some tasty kale chips or flatbread pizza. It’s kind of a match made in heaven.
To say this salon is uniquely awesome is an understatement. If you want cutting edge, if you want fun and friendly, if you want bad ass hair, come see my girl Jackie at Idol Airstream.

Finally I have found a new salon that I love. It’s not all pretentious so you won’t get that SPA feel when you come here but you will be cozy, you can even get a cocktail from next door. Jackie is very sweet, and she listened to what I wanted and she also was creative and had fun with it. I will be back.

Do not be alarmed if sudden feelings of ultimate victory occur after a cut from JACKIE (!). I say this because it was easily the best haircut I’ve received in 3 years.
For the quality of cut I received, I am used to paying around twice as much. I went inside the trailer with some pictures of my hairstyle from 5 years ago, a desire to have «dark blue highlights», and a sexy picture of Jude Law. Although no amount of hair-​styling can make me look like Jude Law, she was able to take the ideas and blend them into a sharp hairstyle I was comfortable maintaining. Additionally, the color Jackie uses for dark blue for my highlights is extremely vibrant and well done.
However, what was most surprising was that you are the only person in the entire studio. When Jackie or Ali go down to the trailer, you are the center of attention! No hipsters eavesdropping and silently judging you, no kids screaming, and absolutely no ignoring you to socialize with other stylists! Nope, it’s just you, some music, and a stylist working magic. =)
Thank you Jackie Rocha, you’re amazing!

— Reading material in the waiting area are all about celebrities (bring your own stuff to read if you aren’t into pop culture magazines)

Ali is so stinkin talented. Her color jobs are spot on.

Ali has been doing my hair for over 4 years. I have curly hair and she does an awesome job. She also does the color, she is the GODDESS of color.
Trust her to make you gorgeous!

Ali’s studio was quite a find. I followed a friend’s recommendation (because he has good hair) and now I won’t go anywhere else. Not only did she give me a better cut than I’ve ever received (and yes, I’ve tried Vain), but her prices were incredibly affordable: a perk of going to someone in a live/​work space who isn’t paying a chair fee. And she’s way too layed back to try to hard sell you on overpriced haircare products. Her studio has a great Georgetown flavor: hip, but not pretentious.

If you want love go to Paris. If you want to rule the world go to New York. If you want to be an adorable blond in Seattle… go to Ali.
Casual, fun, and professional Idol! Studio was my first haircut in Seattle. Ali is so easy to communicate with. She knows how to listen to you as a client and also always seems to have really great input on how to create a sassy beautiful look that is both edgy and mature.
Skip Belltown, skip downtown, head to Georgetown… get yer hrr did.

I have been getting haircuts from Ali since 2006, first at Helmet Head and then I followed her to her own business. The new place has a great atmosphere, and Zoey is always ready to give you your fix of doggy goodness.
