Really not sure what the raves are about. We chose one teriyaki(chicken) and one other dish(tofu with vegetables). The tofu was fried(too much) and bland. the teriyaki was fine – but certainly not as good as the reviews suggested. Very bland overall.

My family loves this place! Especially my lil brother who’s picky when it comes to food. The staffs are so nice, especially the girl at the register. They probably know our faces already since we go here often. Can’t find a better teriyaki joint than this. Don’t mind paying $ 8 for chicken teriyaki. Big serving too!

The food is great, and the prices are great. But the service is flat, and often downright rude. And don’t bother asking for an extra packet of sauce unless you’re willing to fork over $.25 — come on, man. I’m not asking for free food — I’m a customer asking to make my order to my liking. But the food IS good, and we go often enough that I recommend it. Just prepare yourself for the front counter flat affect and inability to look you in the eye, and maybe even smile. Gosh!

Chicken katsu was alright a little over cooked. Also I asked for chicken and broccoli w/light sauce and got the complete opposite. 3 pieces of chicken And four pieces of broccoli a lot of sauce and some random vegetables w lots of onions. And two exceptionally well rounded mounds of white rice. I did like the rice but for the actual food I have been disappointed.

The only thing worth the price was the complementary egg drop soup. I had the teriyaki beef and almond chicken combo. Both tasted like they loaded them up with spices and sugar to hide the fact the meat is no longer fresh. Avoid.

Hands down my favorite Teriyaki joint and go-to I’m not cooking tonight place. Usually get the Teriyaki Chicken, which is too much for one person, but I eat it all anyways. Keep saying I’ll branch out on the menu, but …

Delicious, very pleasant staff and good hot food. The special, teriyaki chicken, gyoza, and California roll was a huge portion. The teriyaki prawns satisfied my resident prawn expert. We will be back.

Three stars for the chicken teriyaki, four for the gyoza and California roll and short ribs. The chicken was flat and a little hard… or I should say, not moist and plump like I like. The short ribs may have been marinated, but if not, they were moist and tender. The gyoza was fried and the container(to-go) had holes in the top so they didn’t get soggy. There wasn’t any funny oily or greasy taste OR after taste from the gyoza. The California rolls were a decent size and the only complaint I had was there was very little wasabi. Over all, pretty good. I’ll be back but not for the chicken. The search for moist, plump, flame broiled chicken teriyaki continues :(

This place is real nice with lots of options for meat eaters, vegetarians(I am sometimes) and all others. I may be a freak, but I look forward to the salad at teriyaki places even more than the protein and this one is great! I want them to sell their dressing by the bottle. Their stir fry dishes are a bit heavy on the onion but there is still a good variety of veggies. The interior is quiet and charming and prices are very reasonable for the great portions. I have not tired the sushi, sorry.

Very good, my favorite teriyaki place in North Seattle. I usually get the chicken and beef teriyaki or the Bento box. My usual issue with teriyaki restaurants is that the beef is too salty. The beef teriyaki is perfect sodium wise. I highly recommend this Teriyaki restaurant. Loyal customer for 5 years and counting

Quick, inexpensive, clean, friendly and quite tasty — what else does one need from a quick and easy wok joint? I found Ichiroll & Wok via Unilocal because I was completely jonesing for sushi and every sushi restaurant in the NW Seattle area closes between lunch and dinner. Made me want to open a place called Afternoon Sushi for anyone else in that predictament. Regardless, I got a quick fix for a decent spicy tuna roll and a good portion of chicken teriyaki all for about $ 15.

Great food and the service was extremely nice! I did a pickup order and had the California Roll, Spicy Tuna and Ichi Roll. Each of these were huge! One roll is more than enough for one person. The food was fresh, rolls were nice and tight and the rice was cooked extremely well. The Ichi Roll was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend if you like rolls that are a bit on the sweet side as well as cooked. I will definitely be returning!

Great food, very nice service and very prompt. This place is just a few minutes from my work so I will go here once a week or every other week. The meat is always very tender and the Gyoza’s always very crispy(haven’t had a soggy one yet). As others have said, they’ll sub brown rice for the white which is a very nice, healthy and great tasting option. Only downside is its a bit pricey. My Chicken and Gyoza plate was about 9 bucks after tax which is a bit much for lunch. Portions are nice sized though.

This place is meh. Everyone at my work raved about this place, so I figured I would give it a go. They had a lunch special which was a good price, $ 4.95 I believe. But they wouldn’t upgrade the chicken to chicken breast … Which I would’ve expected they would’ve just tacked on an extra $ 2 – 3 To upgrade. Nope. I had to get the dinner portion which is the ONLY option if you want chicken breast teriyaki! And that ran almost $ 10!!! That’s ridiculous for teriyaki!!! Especially for lunch! I just don’t get why they can’t upcharge me for chicken breast… So for that I was immediately turned off by this place. The teriyaki joint by my house only charges $ 7.49 for chicken breast teriyaki meal… And probably gives more food than this $ 10 lunch did! I won’t be returning to Ichiroll any time soon.

This Teriyaki is the kind of unspectacular fill-the-need type that is somewhat easy to find in Seattle proper. The menu is somewhat expansive, showcasing many choices of Teri in its various forms, along with sushi rolls and Chinese dishes. There are a lot of combo choices that feature both Chinese and Teriyaki on the same plate, so there’s definitely something to satisfy everyone here. I ordered beef Teriyaki with no rice and double salad. The portion was actually quite small to what I am used to from most Teri joints in the area. The beef was not stringy, it was nice and tender, and not over-sauced, but I have to say, it may have even been slightly under-sauced which is a hard thing to do when I’m the type who doesn’t like a lot to begin with. The salad was the typical bagged iceberg. What is it with Teriyaki salads? A lot of places keep their lettuce totally wet, possibly to preserve crispness, but do nothing to drain the residual water off, and it results in a soggy slushy mess when attempting to mix the dressing with it(typical creamy sweet mayo based dressing here). I wasn’t too happy, as this salad had a lot of excess water, more so than I’ve ever seen. In line with prices(almost 9.00 for the entrée), I don’t really feel I got a good value-to-price ratio here. There are literally five more Teriyaki restaurants in this general area that do it slightly better for slightly less money. I suppose if you are in the immediate neighborhood, Ichiroll probably will fill your craving just fine, and service was quick and friendly.
