Got the Bun Bo Hue, lacking all the herbs that typically come with this soup. For what they served this place should have been located in Issaquah or Woodinville.

I had such high hopes of this place by looking at all the good reviews. But not only is the food a disappointment, the location really sucks as well. Let’s talk about the food first. Maybe I’m too used to food in San Francisco, but I thought everything I ordered here just OK. The strawberry smoothie was too sweet and tasted of fake strawberry flavor, maybe powder. The phở was tasteless. It was a very clear broth and I had to add salt to it. I’m used to a more flavorful broth. If I wanted clear broth I could’ve made it at home. The meat was little and very tough. A couple larger pieces were hardly chewable. The only saving point was the price. It was quite reasonable. I’m giving it two stars because the other food looked good. Maybe I didn’t order the right thing. Now let’s move on to the area. Parking lot is small! Not only that, but other shops in the area attracts smokers and people wandering around. It did not look too safe. Plus a car blocked my way out and I had to go into 4 different stores to locate the driver. Based on my experience, I don’t think I will be coming back. I can find better food elsewhere. Plus I had to bring my own check to the register. Really?

My husband moved to the neighborhood about 9 months ago, and luckily, found this place right away. Ever since, we’ve been coming here once a week or so. We’ve tried many things on the menu, and have loved everything we’ve tried. The veggies are always fresh and crisp, and the flavors in the food tastes like it’s make from scratch. This is a family business, and the same guys is always working – he’s always recognizes us, and adds to the community vibe. Highly recommend!

Vietnamese coffee was made wayyy to fast to be authentic and didn’t taste great. XL bowl of phở was not that much, has very small amount of meat… so not great for the value. Cramped parking lot. Overall, not worth it.

This was an excellent restaurant — one of my favorites places I also like how the owners were Christians I love the rice and tofu. Unlike other places their food is fresh. BESTFOODEVER

Ordered: Chicken Phở w/Veggies! I’ve been searching for a good phở place around where I live, I’ve gone to a couple place in the area and they were okay. But this place! I am so excited because first of all there’s actually veggies when you ask for them! Bok choy, Broccoli, carrots and all the others that it normally comes with. The chicken is shredded chicken breast so it’s clean and good, fresh noodles. The only thing is the broth is a little plain but at least it’s greasy and if your like me your just going to put tons of sarcha in it anyways. Happy to have a new local favorite place for phở!

Best phở!!! Their soup base tastes so good! Don’t need to put in any extra sause and you can taste the real authentic vietnamese phở base. Flank beef phở with beef on the side is always my choice. My mouth is watery already while writing this review.

The food is fresh and the staff is super friendly. The décor is pleasant and the sitting area is clean(tables, floors… bathroom). Great, relaxing restaurant — just a pleasure to eat here. The food is the best…5 stars al the way.

Deluxe phở($ 9.25 extra large) is very tasty, great broth. We also enjoyed the bun cha with egg roll, grilled pork and shrimp(called the sunflower grilled noodle bowl for $ 8.25). The egg roll left much to be desired, not sure what the filling is but it was a bit mushy. The salad spring rolls with shrimp were fresh and the peanut sauce was on point. Service was good. Décor is indeed eclectic with not so subtle religious paraphernalia. Parking is horribly tight and hard to come by. We’d come back for more!

I usually have Vietnamese food in Little Saigon area of International District but I am glad I found this place. I tried Ca Kho To for the first time and this place set the bar very high. The fish was so tender, flaky and and flavorful. I love the broth and I had some noodles from my gf’s phở and I soaked them in the broth which turned out so delicious. I will definitely go back to this place just for this. The server was very nice too and he agreed to substitute the steamed rice for steamed veggies. My gf ordered rare beef phở. I must say I have tasted better and fresher noodles with more bounce and better quality meat. But the broth was good. We also ordered the fresh spring roll which I really recommend. The wrapper was so thin and delicate, the shrimp was fresh and the peanut sauce was a nice complement. Very good experience and I am glad I have one more Vietnamese place to add to my to-return-list.

First time eating out on the south side and liked it. It reminds me of the places I use to eat at growing up. The food is great! The service is Asian. The parking can be challenging if you come on a weekday.

Loved coming here! I dropped in at 30 min before closing on a weeknight and the staff was still super friendly. I was excited to see all the vegetarian-friendly options easily marked… and there were a surprising number of veg options! There were many options across salads, apps, entrees, noodles, and rice dishes to pick from. I hope to come back to try the grapefruit or lotus salad. Or even the beef salad when I go back to being an omnivore… I ordered the banh xeo(vietnamese crêpe) with tofu & a small plate of mango salad. The salad came first, and was visually delightful — sticks of mangos and fried tofu rested on a bed of thinly shaved red cabbage, topped with bright green cilantro and fried shallots and crushed peanuts on the side. It was really refreshing. The banh xeo followed — eggy crêpe filled with bean sprouts and fried tofu. The banh xeo was crisp and worked so well with the soft tofu. A note on the tofu for both the salad and crêpe — it was so good! They fry it so the exterior isn’t so hard and scrapes up your mouth. It’s soft and custardy inside. Yum! Finished up with a dessert of «sweet sticky balls» — rice balls with mung bean filling floating in a gently gingery syrup. Finished with coconut milk and sesame seeds. Pretty tasty and filling. Altogether, pretty cheap eats — the whole meal was under $ 15!

This is my favorite phở restaurant by my house! I’ve only been here twice but both times, my meals was delicious! :3 The first time, I ordered the duck noodle soup and it came with a side salad. The salad had a strong taste to it with sauce on the side(to dip the duck in). The duck was really yummy and tender! I love the soup too! Mmm. The second time, I got the sunflower deluxe phở because I was craving some phở. That was delicious as well! Soup tasted healthy and authentic. They give a good amount of meat and toppings too. The prices are really affordable so yay! I also like how it has a Christian interior and atmosphere. They place Christian music and have bible verse quotes and art around which is nice, since I’m a Christian. The service here is really good too! The server was here both times I was there(I think he’s the owner) and he’s really nice! He would always check up on me. :)

I have been to this restaurant several times and haven’t wrote a review yet so I figured after visiting tonight I would do so. Every time I have eaten here I have had a great experience. The owner is always very polite and friendly which is something I like. There is always a good positive vibe. He always makes you feel welcome and after some negative experiences in other places it is always nice to come back here. I have had the grilled pork and grilled chicken over rice vermicelli in the past and they were both really good. I think the pork is much more juicy than the chicken. I have also had the pork and chicken ban mi sandwiches. We also got a pot of tea for $ 1.00. I also like their fresh rolls with shrimp. This place has good food at reasonable prices with great service with a smile. I will be back!

I don’t usually come to this area much(and for good reason too), but this place definitely impressed the Vietnamese in me. Huong Duong is in a plaza so there is parking available. The inside has an interesting ambience: you can tell the owner’s favorite color is yellow and that he/she is somewhat religious because of the religious quote on the wall. The waiter promptly took our order with his iPad, and we didn’t have to wait that long for our food. I got a Bun Bo Hue and a Banh Xeo. Going in backwards order, the Banh Xeo was HUGE so it will definitely fill you up. The Bun Bo Hue here is a little different than other Vietnamese places. First, flavor is subtly different; not sure how to describe it. Second, there is no pork blood inside. And third, some fix its are not available. However, that doesn’t mean I didn’t like it; in fact, it was really GOOD! Very clean, flavorful, and reasonably portioned. The menu here is pretty expansive so I would come back for the other goodies. What should be duly noted, though, is that my friend got his car scraped by another driver when that person was trying to park in the plaza. I won’t reveal the driver’s race, but there are some bad drivers that live in this area. Just sayin.

My friends and I came in for a quick lunch. Parking was extremely limited but luckily, there was one open when we arrived.(I think there’s additional parking available on the other side of the building). I walked in and was pleasantly surprised by the décor. The walls were painted in a warm tannish color, a quote was painted on one side, and pictures were hung on the others. The space was open and there was plenty of seating. I ordered a small rare beef phở, a Vietnamese iced coffee, and shared a plate of tofu spring rolls. The food was great. The phở broth was piping hot, nice and beefy, and the noodles were chewy. The spring rolls were tightly rolled, which made for easy eating, and the peanut sauce was actually pretty tasty, considering I’m not a huge peanut sauce fan. Service was great and they easily split our bill even though there was 6 of us.

This restaurant is small and located on MLK way. Some what hidden. I decided to try the duck noodle soup(bun mang viet), because of all of the great reviews. I’m very glad I made that choice. The broth was light and savory. It really tasted like homemade broth, my broth was definitely made with love. The duck was cooked perfectly and everything was very well proportionate. It came with a little side salad, you have a choice to add to your soup. Also a ginger base sauce, which was great. The service was good. The young server was delightful and very attentive. He made sure that I was satisfied with my dish & polite. I will definitely be back whenever I’m in the area and craving for a good bowl of bun mang viet.

I’m always in search of good Bun Bo Hue(my all time favorite Vietnamese dish). I drive by this place almost everyday coming home from work but never really noticed it. Since they serve Bun Bo Hue I thought I would give this place a chance. Cat Sang is my to go place for BBH but it’s so far from where I stay. I was hoping to find another to go place to satisfy my BBH cravings without driving so far. PROS: The restaurant is very clean. Their prices are affordable. They have very good customer service(+1 star). We were greeted right away, had our orders taken and food served probably within 10 – 15 minutes. They were very attentive and professional. When taking our ordering I was asked how spicy I wanted my dish which was nice because that was the first time I was asked that at a Vietnamese restaurant. They cater to your taste buds. Most restaurants just serve the dish as is. They have a variety of dishes, some unique dishes that you don’t usually see at a typical Vietnamese restaurant(grapefruit salad was one of them). CONS: 2 stars for the food that me and my husband got to experience. We ordered ice coffee, egg rolls, Bun Bo Hue and Phở. Sadly to say, we weren’t very impressed. The coffee was flavorless. The egg rolls were mostly filled with potatoes, I barely tasted anything else. My Bun Bo Hue was bland. The cha served with it was almost tasteless. It was also serve with meatballs, which were good but there usually isn’t meatball(the one you would see in phở) served with BBH. My husbands phở was okay, not the best. I might come back to try their rice dishes but won’t return for BBH or Phở.

A Catholic Vietnamese restaurant in the Hood that plays country music… I love it! A menu with plenty to choose from, fast and friendly service, clean, and delicious food. I’ll be back!
