Best bar staff in Greenwood go here if you want a cocktail done right. Price is pretty average. I have never tried the food; there are many better options in Greenwood. Good place to watch a game

Don’t order food from this place through Eat 24! We placed an order tonight and when my partner arrived for pickup they said the kitchen was closed and they had no idea what Eat24 is. Through the Unilocal app they have an option to order pickup directly on their site. This is apparently not valid. They offered to make us food if we would pay for it again?! Now it’s late, and I’m pregnant and starving. Eat24 is handling a refund and additional credit for unprofessional behavior on the part of the restaurant.

Ray: This Thursday past, Josh and I decided to head back to Greenwood, the sight of the huge explosion that took out half a block of restaurants and other businesses. We decided to go to Houndstooth Public House because that place caught our eye the last time we were in the area, plus the place just looks really cool from the outside. Once inside we sat ourselves. The interior of Houndstooh is really nice. Maybe a bit on the small side, but a very nicely stocked bar and ample taps. Our waitress arrived with the menus and we just started talking about the explosion and their experience. She was really engaged and animated. I enjoyed our conversation though she did seem a bit enamored with Josh. I ordered the Triple Bypass, which is three sliders. One Italian beef, one BBQ pork and one meatball. I thought that would be a great way to sort of sample their wares. My dinner came with a salad as well and I chose ranch dressing, Josh went with bleu cheese. Well, the meals arrived pretty promptly, only I did not receive the Triple Bypass. She gave me the Italian Heartbreak. She said she mixed it up because it was heart type stuff. I was informed I could eat the salad while they fixed the problem. My salad had bleu cheese dressing… The waitress approached a little later and apologized, saying that I could keep the sandwich. Not exactly a comp considering I didn’t order it or want it. Oh well. Josh wanted it — the bottomless pit that he is. Anyway, the sliders did finally arrive and they were freaking delicious. I mean they totally rocked! At this point I must say that Houndstooth is an easy five star establishment, only for the mistakes and lack of compensation. I will award Houndstooth Public House four stars for the great food and lackadaisical attitude toward customer satisfaction. Such a shame… Josh: Last Thursday I wanted to get back to Greenwood to see how the neighborhood was coming back together after that large explosion from a couple weeks ago, and figured we’d have dinner at Houndstooth Public House. We walked in and found a seat right away. The server came by shortly to take the drink orders. The menu looks pretty good, nothing really jaw dropping or anything, but there definitely a few possibilities. Also the prices were a bit lower then I might expect. Again, not drastically low, but slightly under what you might expect. I went with the buffalo chicken wrap for dinner because I was in the mood for something a little bolder. The wait was relatively short and the meal was brought out. It looked pretty good and tasted even better. Probably one of the better buffalo chicken wraps I’ve had in a good while. It took a little longer then expected to get the bill, but the server was so friendly and accommodating that I can hardly fault them. I really feel comfortable going with 4 stars for Houndstooth, I can definitely see myself returning.

Between the customer pulling the fire alarm – forcing the entire building to be evacuated – and the three patrons who left tonight in a race to see who would vomit in the gutter, who would vomit in the trash can, and who would vomit all over the sidewalk, perhaps Hounds Tooth should reevaluate your(over)serving policy. You are actively working to make Greenwood a shittier neighborhood. I liked this place better when it was a vacant storefront.

Hounds tooth is a nice corner bar with good drinks and an awesome Walking Dead pinball machine. The bartender/owner’s wife was extremely friendly and attentive. This is a nice addition to the growing Greenwood bar scene.

I went here when it was called something else and the service was very poor. I got excited when I saw they changed names because I thought they may have done some changes with the staffing. Unfortunately, I couldn’t have been more wrong. I just went there, walked in, sat down at a table and watched the bartender mingle with every customer at the bar, put away glasses and bottles of booze. For 10 minutes I waited hoping to get her attention so I could get at least a drink. But sadly I was ignored. So I left. Maybe it’s not their service. Maybe it’s their planning. Maybe it’d be wise to have more than one bartender at 6pm on a Friday night. Either way, I will never return.

Decent enough. Happy hour specials are pretty good. You get a lot of bacon cheesy tots for $ 5. Also the pound of wings are a good value… Nice plump wings, I got mostly drummettes. I also ordered with buffalo sauce on the side, to keep the wings crisp and to dunk some into sriracha. The parking situation isn’t the best, and it’s 21+ so not family friendly. But they do have pinball.

Awesome place for games. The bar tenders are amazing especially little Jess. The owner seams pretty cool. great prices. The Philly cheese stake is not amazing but good and good means dam good for Seattle standards. best in Greenwood. The Tatar totts perfect. Have fun here

Really knowledgable staff! Loved my huckleberry lemon drop! And the 7.50 pint/shot special during Seattle sports events?- awesome! So many TVs too!

I know going to a sports pub should primarily be about the sports and beer. Those two things were alright. Besides a really obnoxious patron, which I can’t blame on the establishment, the set up seemed okay. I thought it was a little unfortunate that no one on staff came to the tables. We had to order everything at the bar, but the bartender was generally in good spirits and seemed nice enough to keep the review out of 1 star territory. The food is the big letdown for me. I don’t have high standards for bar food, so I’ll tell you what I tried and you can decide for yourself: a smattering of nachos, the mac and cheese, and the tots. Nachos were low on toppings and had a powder flavor of something I couldn’t put my finger on — maybe citrus? It wasn’t good whatever it was. And, I was not a fan of the mix of melted cheese with nacho squeeze cheese. Mac and cheese was the worst with what looked to be cheez-its crumbled on top of the mountain of bread crumbs. The tots were par for the course.

I have been to the House several times. Their food just keeps getting better. I took my parents there this weekend and everyone thought it was a terrific meal. Both of my parents loved their salads and my burger was perfect. It does get busy on gameday and can be hard to find seating. But any other time it is reasonable. I will be going back again.

Ok for solo drinking? That’s all I got. Beer is ok, price is ok. They need to change their TV channels more so actual sports games are shown instead of infomercials and random crap.

Bartenders here are cool as hell, even though we have been here before when there was no wait staff, at which time if u want anything you have to go back and forth to the bar. The food is cool, just ok, they give you your body weight in freakin tater tots, lol Yes, its a sports bar and there are tv’s, one pretty big one and a few smaller ones throughout the bar. What I love about this place, been here twice, the music they play makes this a cool atmosphere to be in to drink a cider and watch a game or hang with a friend. Not a MUST do, but definitely a COULD do if you’re in the area.

The drinks were decent and the waitress was cute. That’s the end of the good things I can say about House. The really unfortunate thing is that I love the location. I could stumble home from here after a few drinks. The food was meh. Wasn’t so bad as to be gross, but certainly wasn’t great or even good. The worst thing was the place smelled like they hadn’t changed the grease in the fryer in quite a while. My friend and I left and we both stank like a deep fryer when we got home. Anytime I come home and immediately have to take a shower and wash my clothes after being out, I consider it a «fail».

This is one of our regular hangouts in the Greenwood area. The bartenders are friendly, the drinks are good(and reasonably priced) and the food is great. So far I’ve tried their pita pizzas, the BLTA salad and a bunch of different types of soup. All delicious. They have a few huge tvs to watch sports on. They also have some board games you can grab off of a table to use. AND a Golden Tee(we love it!).

If you enjoy being treated poorly and you don’t have the expectation that a sports bar with NFL ticket will show a game other than the(locally televised) Seahawks game then this bar is for you! If you love sports and want to be in a place with fellow sports fans go elsewhere. To top it off the owner is extraordinarily rude and prefers to watch TV rather than help his understaffed bar while it delivers awful service.

This place is bad ass. My go to bar lost it’s best bartender, so I’ve been on the lookout for a new place. This place definitely filled the void! They’ve got great service and the food is killer! The Mac and Cheese will knock your socks off and the bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers… well, they are bacon wrapped! Need I say more?! And to top it off, of all the local Greenwood pubs, the service here is stellar!

Don’t waste your time if you want a good meal. We had to go to the bar to order food and drinks, no servers. I ordered the brisket sandwich, which was sub par, the BBQ sauce tasted like it was out of a bottle, bun was over toasted and the potato salad I’m sure came from a bucket. My wife had a plain burger which was under cooked(if your going to serve them med. cooked you should state that) I brought it back to the bartender and told him it was to under cooked for my wife, the cook happened to be standing there, and when I stated the problem he immediately dropped his head and rolled his eyes. Not very professional ! The bartender was great about it and said no problem. The burger was brought back a short time later and my wife took one bite and said it tasted funny. Upon looking the cook had taken the hamburger patty off the bun and cooked it longer, of coarse with the ketchup and mustard still on it. Needless to say she left the rest of the burger. Any place I’ve ever been would have cooked a fresh burger. Won’t be visiting this place again.

This place definitely takes the crown for the best sports bar I’ve been to! I was with a group of 9 people to watch the UW game, and we had so much fun! We got there about 2 hours before the game so we got some really great seats. The main TV area kicks ass since it has a giant screen and 2 others on each side, so you can watch 5 different games at once. There are also many more TVs showing other games throughout the other corners of the bars. And their service is AWESOME! The place was super packed by the time the game started, and our server was still very attentive. Color me impressed – I will be back! Great selection of beers on tap, and the food selection was great as well. No wings though, just FYI!

What’s not to like about The House? They have transformed the space here a bit, rescuing it from its dismal plight as Pillagers. Spacious, comfortable, lots of TVs showing the game. Big bar with pleasant staff, slinging pints and cocktails and whatnot. The food was worth stuffing your face as a late night snack. Seattle is woefully short of sports bars, and this place isn’t really specializing in spectating – the layout isn’t conducive to big groups focusing on one nice big screen. It’s more like a neighborhood spot where they always have the games on different TVs. But it’s clean and nice enough and seems capably staffed.

We went here to watch the Superbowl tonight — it was great! Was busy, but not too busy probably since it’s fairly new, which was perfect. We found a seat no problem, the wait staff was very attentive and nice and helpful. There was a huge selection of beer on tap which was fantastic. Comfy chairs, huge tvs. I have to agree with the other reviewers though on the food. What kind of bar doesn’t have fries? We had chips and salsa but the chips clearly came from a chip bag — make your own chips! I had the bbq pork pita bread and it was tasty though. Good place, I hope to come back, and when they improve the menu I’ll up it to 5 stars :).

Soooo happy that this is now the House Sports Pub and not Pillagers. They got rid of those awful picnic tables and now have normal tables with comfy chairs. So much easier to get in & out especially if you’re in a skirt. The staff were very friendly and service was good and fast. I don’t watch sports, but will definitely be coming back much more frequently than when it was Pillagers. Place has a great vibe to it and it feels much more comfy. Hope they get a larger menu with appetizer and some Happy Hour specials…

Stopped in on my birthday. Had fast nice service and ordered off the happy hour menu. The meatballs were pretty hard and seemed overlooked but the chicken wings were delicious! Super hot sauce but so tasty! Beer super cold and love the selection of IPA’s. My friend loves this place a nice home bar feel. Excited to come back and upgrade to five stars
