Great place for a quick gyro. I had the gyro salad. The veggies were fresh and the meat well seasoned and tender. Yum.

Gyros Place is great. They’ve been around since I started working downtown 15 years ago! To survive as a small, family-owned business in downtown Seattle where places like Chiptole and McDonalds have lines all day long is no small feat. I am surprised at the not-so-great reviews. They may have had their ups and downs over the years, and I won’t vouch for the Greek«authenticity» of the place, but hey, they’re a small shop in a food court — what do you want? The fact that they’ve survived this long has got to say something! The food is regularly, consistently good. The owners are friendly and kind, and have always remembered me. I’m gluten free but I don’t eat like a bird, so I’m always on the lookout for good, hearty, cheap meals downtown that aren’t sandwiches or burritos. I usually get the gyros salad, which more than fills me up and it’s a ton of food for the price. Give this local business a chance!

Not bad. Prices are reasonable for the location and food quality. There are not too many gyros around downtown area. The owner is funny. He often cracks jokes to customers. Lots of open seating area on the first floor area. I can’t remember if it is cash only.

For an atrium cafeteria in the street level of a seattle business building, this place ain’t half bad. The chicken gyro I got was good, the meat was good, the pita was good, watch out those because it was a little runny in the sauce department. And the fresh shredded feta on the top was to die for.

Awesome salads & gyros. Even the chicken burger was good. I found the staff to be fast and attentive, unlike the reviewers from 2007… Who knows, maybe they are receptive to feedback! I have been there a few times now, and have consistently gotten good service and food. Best was the gyro salad. Too big for me but delicious!

Disclaimer: I would like to state that I wouldn’t know«Authentic Greek food» if someone slapped me in the face with it, so I cannot make judgements on the authenticity of this place’s food. That being said, the gyro meat here is pretty darn tasty. I don’t know what type of meat it is. It doesn’t taste like lamb, so it’s probably beef. May be a combo. I’m happy with it, whatever it is. They have a special where they give you a super stuffed gyro and a side for 6.50. Downtown, this is a pretty good deal. I’m a low-carber, so I’m always on the lookout for low carb meal ideas. For 6.99 you can get a gyro salad that’s so big you will have to make two meals out of it. I’ve had it twice and both times the greens were really fresh, they were very generous with the feta cheese and dressing, and I got a huge portion of gyro meat piled on top. It’s definitely the best salad deal within walking distance of 15014th Ave, and it’s delicious! They also sale a variety of chicken salads and sandwiches, hampburgers, and other Greek dishes. I’ve never eaten the chicken or burgers, so I can’t really speak for those menu items. The gyros, gyro salad and fries are great though, imo. Overall, friendly and fast service and good food. Definitely my favorite in the vicinity.

Drool causing gyros. Awesome flavor, super stuffed and rolled into a doughy, soft and warm pita. YUM. I’m Kinda wondering if I reviewed the wrong restaurant… cuz I disagree with the other Unilocalers… but then they didn’t have that orgasmic gyro! This place is on my list for my next Seattle trip, so I’ll put it to the test!

The food sucks. Far from authentic Greek food. Watery salad. Chicken is tasteless and looks like mystery meat. Not even the nicest staff could make me even consider eating here again. If I could, I would give this 0 stars.

The staff is so-so. The people cooking the food always seems nice, but the people who take your money and get your drinks always seem to be on the phone, and make me think I’m interrupting something. I suppose that’s better than having the cooks seem unhappy. Anyway, today I had the Hawaiian Burger, which was actually pretty good. I had it with lettuce and tomato, and it came with grilled pineapple and a thin teriyaki-flavored sauce. The french fries are cut on-site from whole potatoes. Today they were soggy and greasy, despite having just been thrown into the fryer(I witnessed this). The burger and fries, plus a can of coke(1.50 — serves me right for not drinking water!) came to a few dimes less than 10.00 This pretty much sums up my 4-or-so visits to Gyros Place. If I wanted a burger, this would never be my first choice: it’s a few blocks from my office vs less than a block away(Mel’s Market, way better burger, way better price). However, if I’m down in that area, I’d consider it, only after checking out the other offerings.

First place I tried on my own since starting work downtown. I saw the menu while waiting for someone the other day and noticed that they listed what options were vegetarian so I figured I’d give it a try. As previously noted, the cashier was on the phone the whole time and the cook took my order, pulling dolmathes out of a container from somewhere and throwing some fries in a to go box for me. Fast though, I guess. Food isn’t making me puke or anything, it’s fine. I am famished though, so I’m sure a raw potato would be good right now too. It’s in the Century Square food court with a few other gems, so there’s plenty of seating and whatnot.

In fall of 2002, I stumbled upon a fantastic gyro place around 3rd and Pine, and I’ve been drooling over the memory ever since. It was the best gyro sandwich ever, with hummus and sprouts and all kinds of extra stuff on top of the normal gyro sandwich fillings. It was, in a word, legendary. Fast forward to January 2007, and it’s my first time back in Seattle since then. At my first opportunity, I head to 3rd and Pine, only to find that entire block is under some kind of construction and nothing is there. On my way back, I walk by the Century Square food court and see that there is a place called Gyro’s Place. I get my hopes up that perhaps due to the proximity it was in fact the same place and had relocated. Well, of course it wasn’t, this was just some fast food place. But I was there, so I tried it anyway. As I approached the counter, the cashier was jabbering on her cell phone. She paid me no attention, so the cook came up to me and took my order and started preparing it. In the meantime, another customer approached and ordered 2 sodas from the cashier, who still had not paused her cell phone conversation. She tried to get through the entire transaction without once actually talking to the customer, but the customer wanted to know how much the sodas were each. The cashier shrugged and said, oh I don’t know, a dollar something, plus tax? Then she looked at me and asked me for my order, though at that point the cook had already finished it. She charged me and went right back to her phone conversation. After I got my food, she helped a few more customers, never once getting off the phone. After I ate my sandwich and left, she was still on the phone that whole time. Nice. The gyro sandwich itself was fine, but by no means legendary.
