David cuts my mother’s hair beautifully every time she comes to Seattle; in fact, he is the only stylist she will see! She waits until she visiting to see this stylist. She loves him because his cuts match the much more expensive cuts she gets at home. She likes the artful care he takes with her hair, all the while keeping up a fun, companionable conversation. She’s so sad this place might be closing! David, please let us know how to find you for her next visit to Seattle!

Horrible, horrible, horrible! I took my three year old son here recently for a hair cut against my better judgement. My husband has gone to this Great Clips once before and now steers clear after having had a poor hair cut, but it is so close to our house, so I gave it another try. The stylist was so rude to my son. She obviously did not like cutting kids’ hair. There were no other customers in the salon at the time, but she acted very put out. She did not know how to talk to my son. He was holding very still, but she expected him to follow her instructions and was very impatient. He’s THREE! She told me I was distracting him and told me to stand away from them. She then proceeded to botch his hair cut and did not do what I asked. She said she had to fix what the previous stylist(from the U-District Great Clips) had done, and yet his previous hair cut was exactly what we wanted. She was just horrible. Rude. Abrupt. Impatient. I’ve learned my lesson. You have to pay more to get a good hair cut and reasonable customer service. The name of the stylist on the receipt was Hye Young. She was awful.

Pragmacio aka Boy is the best! He does a superb job on my hair! I used to go to Rudy’s all the time every two weeks, and it got really pricey. Pragmacio does an equally if not better job than those guys. He may be a little quiet on the chit-chat, but he makes up for it in his precision and efficiency.

Ok, this place kicks ass. I’m currently 19 years old, and this was by far the finest haircut I have ever received. Candice was seriously like an artist — checking each and every blade of my hair to make sure she liked how it blended in with the whole — and she made my hair look exactly how I wanted it to(something I’d never been able to achieve before). She wasn’t irritated in the slightest when I asked her if we could go a little shorter on the sides after she had finished with everything. What’s more, she took notes on how I liked my hair so that I could come in next time and get the same look. All of this for 16 dollars… It felt like an injustice. I paid her $ 20, should have paid her $ 30. This place rocks.

The aesthetics may leave much to be desired, but the service is always exceptional. I tried this salon because it’s within walking distance of my place(I will be moving closer to Downtown Seattle soon though). The staff has always been friendly, professional, and fast. Not so strong in the conversation department, but you can’t beat the quality of work, especially at this price. I tend to just bring in a picture of the hairstyle I want with me and none of the stylists seem to have any problems mimicking the cut or style. I’m always impressed with the attention to detail. If you’re looking for long chats and heart to hearts? Problem not the best place for you. If you want a professional haircut for a low price, it’s worth stopping in.

First time here. No customers in there; quick and fast cut. Same hair cut as the guy who gave it to me had… but honestly I don’t care what my hair looks like as long it is not touching my ears and getting caught in my collar on the back of my neck. I’m always wearing a hat anyways. Cost was higher then I expected. I’ll get a haircut at my local barber near my house which is half and does a better job.

I don’t know exactly what to say. I’ll go and have a good experience; then go and have a less than happy one. The good experiences are difficult to expand on. You show up, have little wait, and get a good haircut; exactly the cut that you ask for. I’d also say that a «good» is that when the Seahawks play well, you get a free haircut. That’s always cool, as «free» is a price that I love to pay. :-) The bad, however, leaves me wanting to find a new place half the time. One feature that should be a good feature is the mobile app that allows you to check in ahead of time. The key to this, however, is that the people need to know how to use it. I’ve tried it twice, and both times have been a huge flop. For example: I checked in via the app, and it said it was a 20 minute wait. I showed up after 15 minutes, and I was told when I got there that it’d be a 20 minute wait. Wait… what? Yeah. So 35 minutes later, I get seen. So that’s actually 55 minutes after I checked in via the app… not 20. What I’m sure happens(each time) is that they just ignore the mobile check-in and they start the clock once I actually walk through the door. All I can say is «blah». What else ‘can’ you say? The other aspect of the bad visits is the crux of a good vs bad visit; the haircut sucks. There just isn’t any consistency between visits, even though you’re asking for the same length and same style. We’re actually moving in a month, so I’ll end up self-selecting out of this location anyway. I pretty much went because it was around the corner from the house, but if I were staying here much longer, I’d be shopping around for a new permanent place.

I just got a trim and love it. They were friendly, efficient and quick. Unfortunately, this quickness comes with a price. The whole store is covered with leftover hair; from the telephone to the towels at the stalls. I have the creepy crawlies from the experience. I wish the great cut and low price could excuse the lack of cleanliness, but i can’t look past it. I am not adverse to giving them a second chance, as everyone has their busy moments. It was the best hair cut i have had in some time.

My husband likes to go to Great Clips since he is a guy and the price is right. I cannot argue with his logic as my haircuts always seem to run around $ 100 each time. This location is by the Northgate Mall in a strip of shops and it was clean and service was quick. I sat at the front but the gal cutting my husband’s hair kept asking him if he was ok and making sure he was happy before she continued. I can appreciate that as I have had some ‘stylists’ wait too long into the cut before they’d alert me that it was too short, curly, etc. I’m sure this will become my husband’s ‘go to’ place since it is near where we live and he was happy with the service.

«Candace» — if that’s her real name — was rude and mocking, with shallow affect and no empathy. Her behavior worsened when she figured out I was going to call the owners to complain. All she cared about was selling product. She also chose to work with a cold. She was coughing and sniffling the whole time. Do not trust your hair to this woman. I hope the owners fire her ASAP.

I’m a guy who just needs a basic hair tune-up now and then. Nothing fancy. This place got the job done fine, although I could have done without all the chit-chat about where I work, where I live, how much my rent is, etc. These just aren’t things that I normally discuss with complete strangers. Just focus on the hair. Also, a word to the wise: You don’t need to tell guys three times that their hair is thinning. Chances are this is a problem they’re well aware of already and telling them multiple times is probably not great for customer relations.

Compared with other Great Clips, this is probably one of the best. If you are a guy and need a quick fade, this is the place to go in the Northend. Be sure to ask for the Filipino guy though because the other ladies don’t know what they are doing. After he’s done with your haircut, a little talc and you’re good to go for another 3 weeks!

Ok, this may seem odd to give Great Clips 5 stars but I have been going up to Northgate from Eastlake for the past 2 years to get my haircut because of a man named Pragmacio… I even have«Pragmacio» programmed in my cell phone so I can make sure he is there before I make the trek up north. Let’s just say my fiancé is a little bit concerned. The other stylists are ok, but Prag is the man — perfect haircut every time. He is a older filipino guy that is sorta quiet at first but once you get to know him he’s great. I always make a point to tip him incredibly well and I suggest you do so as well.

Low price, low attitude, and a quick, decent haircut. I didn’t even miss the tattoos and peevishness of the trendier places. I’ll be going back.
