I have never been a big fan of GNC but my husband and my brother in law like to use the supplements, etc when they’re working out. We used to go to the Northgate location a lot since it was near our house and we worked out religiously at the 24 Hour Super Sport club there. We came across this W Seattle location near the Safeway when we were out running errands. My husband decided he wanted to get a batch of their one powder which supposedly helps with soreness after lifting. It was a cloudy Sunday afternoon and the store was absolutely empty. The one clerk came from the back to greet us when we walked in and I was curious if the store was even open. This location is particularly small and I can see why. They likely don’t get much traffic and probably just have the ‘staples’. If you want something more in depth in their line then you’re going to have to leave W Seattle. My husband eventually found what he was looking for(hard to say if he wasn’t seeing it or being slow. WIth him, you never know). The clerk told us that his ‘gold’ membership had expired and he could pay to renew or not but«it didn’t matter to him either way». We opted not to(I’m not sure how much it is but I do believe you get a discount on everyday purchases & then extra discounts one week out of the month). The place is spendy and I’m not sure if I believe the hype on some of their stuff as I’ve always been active & fit and never have taken supplements or their shakes, etc. I know some would argue I’m leaving muscle on the table but I guess I feel like I don’t want to be that crazy into stuff where I have to take shakes and things all the time. Service wasn’t terrible and he wasn’t pushy but almost to point where I wasn’t sure if he really even wanted to be at work or sell us anything.
