Are you kidding me? Frontier Room is now closed? Where am I supposed to belt out Friends in Low Places, Gettin’ Jiggy With It, and Sweet Caroline now? This is place was awesome. Bartenders were either awesome(Kiwi!) or sucked like a dyson wind tunnel supreme(I’m looking at you long haired punk rocker wannabe bartender). Any suggestions for places to fill the Frontier Room sized void in my life?!?

I’m not sure what happened to this place. I made a reservation on a Saturday. We arrived on time and were told it would be a 30 minute wait. What was surprising was not the fact that we were told we had to wait, it was the fact that the place was empty. I did not see a single person. We told the host that we had a rez and he replied that he was not informed of this. He sat us immediately. Apparently one of the servers didn’t show up but honestly, I never would have known if the host had not made such a big deal out of it. Super unprofessional. The server they called in was awesome. Very attentive to our needs and apologized by giving us a free round of drinks. Awesome! Overall, the food was good. Not memorable. I just wonder if they have recently changed management? Just a few months ago this place was hoppin’ on the weekends. Very sad to see it go downhill so quickly.

Ordering the Ranch Hand(BBQ dinner plate for two) along with baked beans and Mac and cheese! The Ranch Hand also comes with two sides of your choice as 2 corn bread muffins. It was SOMUCHFOOD! If you can finish the entire thing within 30 minutes, it’s yours(in your stomach, trying to viciously break out of your stomach and intestines) for free! The brisket and pork were delicious! Their house made bbq sauce, it should be bottled and sold everywhere. So amazing! For Seattle, this BBQ joint ain’t bad. The meat ain’t falling off the bones effortlessly, but its the closest thing to good bbq that this Texan girl can get in the PNW. Customer service was excellent. Our server was not only gorgeous, but she was so friendly and offered to throw a few items onto our orders for us to sample. During Seahawk games they serve an AYCEBBQ buffet for $ 10. What what??? I’m going to come back during the Superbowl because the Hawks are going to obliterate the 49ers! :D And as that is happening, I will be obliterating my stomach with AYCEBBQ aghhhh! They also have HH deals which cut the cost of the apps and dishes by 40% but you also get what you pay for(smaller portions). The drink deals are excellent and they have beer on tap! Huzzah! We’ll definitely be back. I enjoyed our visit and the food.

Meh. Frontier Room has reasonable prices. But it’s because you only get reasonable food. The gumbo wasn’t fantastic. The mac and cheese took forEVER to get to us, but was nicely taken off the check. I do have to say that the cornbread was good, though. Oh man, do I love cornbread. Oh, and we got a front-row seat to a one-drunk-man shitshow. It’s a nice look, and probably tastes really good if you’re drunk, but it wasn’t anywhere near the best BBQ I’ve had.

It’s always sunny in Philadelphia must have based their show off this bar. It’s so clear that a few friends opened this place with good intentions but man, I wish they’d get it together. :o) Irregular hours, random specials, an occasional cockroach. Anything goes. $ 10 all you can eat BBQ when the Seahaws are playing. Great TVS and a friendly staff. Bango(sex bingo) happens on Thursdays where winners get sex toys. Totally fun. The ribs are delicious, the mac and cheese is great.

Saturday Night Birthday Bash Ends At The Frontier Room 5 stars. Good drinks, friendly staff, good dancing music. Decent sized venue, with seating far from the dance floor, as well as adjacent the dance floor, etc. No cover for ladies, $ 5 cover for the gents — not bad compared to other places. We’ll be back :)

I was really excited to try this BBQ place near my house. I was a bit disappointed by the meat itself. The group on makes the place a better deal. We tried the combo with all the meat for two people. The chicken was good and I liked the hot BBQ sauce, but the ribs, beef and pork was not anything too special. It is nice to sit outside and the service was good.

Lots of space here for Large Groups or Hangout Solo at the Bar. The food is spectacular… All the Happy Hour Items are so good that you can not just eat one. Pull Pork Sandwiches. YUM! Great Staff and Drink Selection. If you haven’t checked this place yet, place it on your list!

One of the few bars in Belltown I enjoy, this top 40 playing venue offers a dance floor in the back, and a bar/booth area in the front. Great place for mid to late 20’s crowd. Everyone here is super chill and just simply looking for a good time. Usually the music is good standard top 40 hits. Sometimes, though, its ADHD30 seconds of a song mixed with 30 seconds of another song with no time to enjoy anything more than the chorus, which mega sucked. Oh well, its whats expected here. Bonus: HOTSPOTFORBACHELORETTEPARTIES!!!

Nice BBQ. This was a random discovery but I’m glad I found it. I was taking a random walk back to my hotel and looking for somewhere nice for dinner. Nice well cooked meat and well cooked sides. I had a couple of things off their menu including the ribs and it was very nice. Prices weren’t too bad either. The service was nice and quick. All the servers were very good and it is nice to see into the kitchen. The place was quite busy but it seemed like most of the people were in to use the bar rather than the for the food.

Eaten here a few times and really liked it. On a Friday night when everywhere else had an hour and a half wait for our party of seven, Frontier seated us right away. We were in a big booth in the back and that was fun. Other times I’ve come with only a few friends. Seating outside is really for two people, unless you get lucky and they can push a few tables together(three is a bit crowded at one table.) Service is decent. Food is good too, and quite a menu to pick from. After ordering the bbq burger, I noticed the bbq sauce on the table and wondered if I should have applied it to a regular burger myself and saved a few dollars. Some good beers but kinda high. I think the Elysian Stout was $ 9 or $ 10. Granted, it can be shared but I’ve seen it in the grocery store for half that. If you’re looking for good bbq, definitely worth a try.

I love and know good BBQ. And if you’re the same, this place will be disappointing. I ordered the Caesar salad with sliced brisket. The lettuce was grilled romaine lettuce, which added a nice smokey note to the salad. The dressing didn’t blow my mind, and the brisket had no flavor.

Yum! This place has good pulled pork, not the best but it’s convenient and one of the few places that have bbq downtown. I always go with the pulled pork with coleslaw and a side of fries(the small side of fries is big enough for 2!) They have a good selection of bottle and draft beers. But were out of Mac and Jacks last time we went =(

Been here for Happy Hour. Love Belltown Happy Hour. The food was good and $ 3 apps are always fun after work. Went here recently for Late Night dancing. Not as packed as the first time I went but a funky mix of people. NOCOVERCHARGEFORWOMEN and only $ 5 for men.

Come here for the happy hour deals! $ 3 mac n’ cheese, bacon wrapped shrimp, ribs, BBQ pork sliders, etc… quite delicious for a great price! I’ve been here for late night drinks and partying before and it’s pretty cool. They have ladies nights on Thursdays(I think… or maybe Wednesday, I can’t remember) and they have $ 3 drink specials for ladies! The décor is pretty woody and western — appropriate for a BBQ scene although my friends commented on how it didn’t feel like it. I thought it did? Service was efficient and helpful! We also ordered a full rack of baby back ribs(omg bad decision)… those babies are HUGE. We definitely should’ve gotten the half rack — but it was tasty! Their BBQ sauce is tangy and delicious as well.

I’ve been here twice to party on weekends and I just don’t get it. The layout is narrow and I don’t like the gloominess of the place. My friend was upset we missed the costume contest and told the dj she was a loofah and he told her to take a shower. Um rude. «Sorry you missed it» would have sufficed. Since I don’t eat meat, I doubt the restaurant aspect would appeal to me. There isn’t a lot wrong with this place but there aren’t enough things going for me to get excited about coming. Overall, I just don’t really have that great of a time here.

Was here with a group of friends. Very crowded last Saturday night. Some people were rude and just pushing through the crowd. Guys are $ 5 cover and girls get in for free. There was a bar where lots of people just enjoyed chatting with friends. I thought that was nice. Also lots of people were dancing on the dance floor. I would not necessarily come back again unless friends suggest so.

My wife and I were visiting Seattle on vacation and we had a groupon for the Frontier Room. We decided to bus it up to the top of this hill and walk back into downtown. It was a nice 4 mile walk, but by the time we got to the Frontier Room, I was parched and starving. It was pretty empty for a weekend, so we got our own booth. Our waiter came out and I ordered a cheap domestic and it went down wonderfully. To go with it, we got some red beans and rice and a chicken Caesar salad. The BBQ chicken came out nice and moist on top of the salad and the red beans and rice were fully flavorful and not too spicy(I added some heat to my share) My wife enjoyed the red beans and rice as well. I ordered a second beer and just sucked in all the cool BBQ atmosphere and reminisced about our walk and our trip to Seattle. It was great, and the smells coming out of the kitchen tickled the olfactory. Our server was a super cool guy and it was an enjoyable meal overall.

Rating for me was between 2 ½−3 stars… this is why… Upon entering one Saturday night, I was thrilled by the red lighting glowing from the pendant lighting. Very old feeling, telling me this place has been around for a while jazzed up with interesting décor lighting. «I like this vibe I get from the environment». Our waitress this night was very helpful, peppy and fun! Food: okay, but not something that will have me rushing back for more. My friend and I shared the mac & cheese, which was average… nothing special, but nothing wrong with it either. I tried the chicked bbq sandwich since it seemed to adverstise its a bbq place. Our waitress was very helpful in letting me substitute my side, I chose the cornbread… why not carb the night! BBQ sandwich was average. Not too dry and not too drenched in sauce. Again nothing excellent or bad about the dish. The cornbread was cornbread. To end the night, hot apple crisp with french ice cream… I was too carbed out to really enjoy this treat, but wasn’t disappointed. Food average Atomosphere more exciting than the food Customer service above average

I’m a die hard Texas BBQ brisket fan and come with the pedigree of growing up in Texas. Now, you wouldn’t think that you’d find a great BBQ place in Belltown on 1st Street. But, Frontier Room is the exception to the rule. Obviously, either the owner is a big BBQ fan or the cook really makes good BBQ. That said, when I’m not using FedEX to get BBQ from Texas, this is the place I eat BBQ. Normally, I order the beef brisket and for an appetizer get some ribs to nibble on until the main course. Ths sides are okay; but the focus here is the meat. And even better you get large meat portions(not typical for Seattle). The sauce is good too and I order a few slices of bread to soak up some of the sauce. It’s that good.
