It was 3pm on a Saturday, and my body knew it was coffee time. I was in a hurry and ducked into the first coffee place I saw while walking around Seattle after a day at the Aquarium. Boy, did I luck out! The 8oz vanilla latte was perfect. Not too sweet like some other places(I’m looking at you, Starbucks!) I loved the ambience of the place, even in just the few minutes I was there. The staff was professional, yet friendly. I’m going to definitely come here for a bite to eat sometime. Great experience!

Went here for breakfast, it was delicious. Service was also excellent. My husband had coffee and said it was good, I had the loose leaf herb tea that was also good.

Fonte has a terrific brunch and great atmosphere. We discovered this place by recommendation of a coworker and have made it a weekend routine since we live close. The Fonte scramble is a favorite of mine!

Came here for breakfast because not many places were opened on New Years Day. The service I received was friendly, but a little slow. I tried their turkish latte and tomato and avocado eggs benedict($ 13). Both items were okay. The latte was very smooth but the spices used left an unpleasant aftertaste. The eggs benedict came with breakfast potatoes and a side salad which were both the highlight of my meal and delicious. I didn’t enjoy my eggs benedict very much because the hollandaise sauce was super thick and a little on the sour side.

Loved our experience and the suggested orange chipotle coffee was out of this world good. Warm ambience and the server was nice and attentive and kept our water glasses filled as we were super thirsty from walking all morning. Great location too.

I really enjoyed having breakfast at this cute café in downtown Seattle. We were in search of a more quiet place that was free from the hoards of tourists a few blocks away at Pike’s, and Fonte fit the bill perfectly. I was extremely hungry and opted for the Bacon and Avocado Omelette with sourdough toast. I also ordered an additional side of bacon. The bacon was delicious. I loved how it was very thick and meaty, not overcooked. The omelette was served with country potatoes, too. Everyone at the table raved about the potatoes. They went well with my omelette which was sheer perfection. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure our coffee cups were constantly filled. Prices were also very reasonable considering we were in downtown area.

This place lacks an identity. It’s half coffee shop and half restaurant and fails at both. It’s hard to figure out what part is the coffee part and which part you can get hot food from. They have a ton of different menus. Breakfast, lunch, late afternoon, etc. and two places to order. This might’ve been a bad day. I’m not sure. Had trouble getting an order. Neither female barista would make eye contact at the place to order, so I asked a gentleman if I could order at his kiosk on he other side. He was super friendly but apparently could not help me(later found out he was more of a waiter). I could order a sandwich, but they wouldn’t heat it up. It’s 3pm in the afternoon, three hours before they close, but they are on to the«late afternoon menu.» No big deal, not paying $ 10+ for a cold five inch sub. I would also have to go back to the other kiosk to order coffee. Is this the same restaurant? Seemed odd. I later found out that I totally could have taken a seat with my wife who had just asked to sit down… but he sent me back to the coffee side I guess because he thought I wasn’t with her? Not sure. Went back to the«no eye contact gals.» Ordered a Capp and Americano after waiting on two women who had managed to beat me back to line, baristas were happy to take their orders. When I made it to the front of line, was greeted with a gruff can I help you. Ordered stuff. Paid her. Americano tasted like drip coffee but the cappuccino was passable. Not sure if barista was just anti male /anti my face or what. Brought my to go cups back to my table. Pretzel bites were just over cooked dough with salt that fell off when you picked them up. Pizza was decent. Didn’t like this place. In Seattle there are literally 500 better coffee shops. 0⁄5 for coffee shop 3⁄5 for café, pizza, etc Average of 1.5÷5 rounded up to two stars because the Lagavulin 16 yr was a fantastic find on the whiskey list.

Those who think Starbucks is the best place for coffee should really re-consider that thought. There are better coffee places out there, like fonte for one. The quaint modern décor drew me into the coffee shop. At first I was like, is it a restaurant, coffee shop, or a wine bar? Well it’s all of that combined into one! I’ve never had their food here, but heard it was pretty good. One of these days I will try that out. My favorite coffee from them is the sage latte and their Turkish latte. It’s rich in flavor and not bland, compared to the other competitors. I tried their desert rose latte one day and I wasn’t a fan. It was too sweet for my taste.

This place is a MUST when you’re in Seattle. I visited this place frequently while I was there. It’s a modern café with good food, coffee, & great service. They have a wide array of breakfast selections which will keep you fueled for the day. I got their two eggs any style which came with a choice of meat, sourdough toast, potatoes & arugala salad. It’ll keep you filled and Hally throughout the day!

The Pappardelle Bolognese is to die for here. Handmade noodles, just tender and soft. The mixture of pork, veal, beef elevated it to a next dimension of flavor. My only complaint would be that the dish was a bit smaller than what I would have liked. I could have inhaled two plates, easy. There’s a lot of breakfast type foods available which is great for those brunch-at-lunchtime seekers. My friend did have some trouble with switching out the pork(ham) in her food which I thought was odd since it is a pretty common request? They wanted to charge more for substitute meats or place an avocado instead. which wouldn’t have matched the palate of flavors at all. I didn’t get a chance to try their specialty coffees but no time. It’s a cute industrial themed venue. I would swing by again in a heartbeat!

Get ready to get your fancy on! In addition to coffee, Fontes serves wine and small tapas style plates that are pretty yummy. The food won’t exactly fill you up but it’s a nice way to have a light snack before the night begins. The location is conveniently easy to find on 1st Ave across from The SAM. However, parking is a bit of a pain depending on the time of day, but UBER is a good alternative if you don’t want the hassle. The only thing that’s a little odd is how normal it is to whip out a laptop while drinking a glass of wine here. I tried their fancy Aztec Mocha, with bittersweet chocolate, cayenne, cinnamon, and black pepper. It had the right amount of spice without being overwhelming. I’d definitely recommend this place if you want to try a new, swanky coffee and wine place.

As our last eatery meal in Seattle, decided this looked like a good place to have a good breakfast. We were right! The atmosphere was inviting and the overall resturant was clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered slightly off menu and the young waitress didn’t even blink an eye. Just said, ok, we can do that. The food was very good. I had an egg white omelet with veggies. It came with an arugula salad that was very good and fried potatoes. Those were also, very good. I cannot say enough good things about this eatery. Wish we had discovered it earlier in the trip.

I’m happy to report I’ve discovered a new classy cool lunch spot! It was actually Belle Epicurean that brought me here. They serve Fonté espresso. I fell in love with the Americano and started Googling Fonté. I was so excited when I realized this place was only three blocks away from my office! Two coworkers and I came in for lunch yesterday, and we all enjoyed our tasty meals. I ordered the charcuterie hash, which came with a sunny-side up, buttered sourdough toast, and an arugula salad with grapes in it. The potatoes were seasoned and fried to perfection. The arugula salad had a mild vinaigrette dressing, and the grapes in it balanced out the saltiness of the cured meats. The sourdough toast was thick and had very subtle acidity. They make it in-house! I ordered a cup of Americano to-go. I’m just so, so in love with this Americano. It is my preferred level of depth and darkness and has a very pleasant creamy aftertaste. I can’t get enough of it. One coworker ordered the pork belly eggs benny, and the other ordered the prosciutto panini. They were both impressed with what they got! Service was okay. We didn’t get served immediately when we arrived. The girl at the espresso bar told us to sit down if we wanted food but never gave us any menus or further attention. We had to ask a different staff member if we needed to order at the counter, and then he gave us menus. Our server was nice but mixed up bills and credit cards twice. She was apologetic, though. Overall, I’m incredibly pleased with this discovery. I must come back for happy hour and more lunches!

My wife and were meeting our friend there before going to dinner but we ended up staying and talking for a bit and had a drink each. My wife just wanted a regular coffee and I wasn’t sure what I had wanted but when I had asked the server for a coffee he said they didn’t have any drip coffee. How strange is that? A café not having drip coffee… anyway she went with a espresso and I ended up having a cappuccino. The drinks were good but we didn’t stay long enough to have another cup each as we had dinner plans. It’s a nice lounge and place to meet. They do also serve wine which would also would have been a nice alternative as well. This place is a nice change from other coffee places because it’s a better atmosphere of people having adult drinks without people just hanging around to charge their devices or work while being there for wifi.

Fonte’s staff is so helpful and accommodating! :) We stopped by the café with a large birthday party of about 12 people. Not only were they able to sit us all together, but they also worked with us to split the birthday girl’s amongst the rest of the party. Major props and thank yous to the staff for making our evening smooth and stress-free. :D We managed to squeeze in right before happy hour ended and ended up sharing the: –Arancini — I loved the sauce that came with the risotto balls. Heads up, it does have a subtle spicy kick! –Meat & cheese plate — Our mini plate came with the chef’s choice of brie, prosciutto, nuts, crostini and dried fruit :) –Chef’s pizza — The creation of the day featured duck confit, arugula and tomatoes — SOOOOGOOD :3 Also, quite large for a happy hour deal! My only confusion is whether this is more of a café or a wine bar. As in, is this a good place to check in and get work done, or is it more of a restaurant/dining vibe? Either way, I’ll be stopping by again for another taste! :)

MUY buena atención y la comida sobresale como mejor que el promedio en Seattle, sobre todo la sopa. El café también es bueno. me gusta la decoración y el ambiente, es como un oasis en la vorágine del centro de la ciudad. Linda decoración y limpieza.
