Ellen Sims – Divine Roots Wellness

The job title on Ellen’s business card reads «Magician», which I think is a bit of a misnomer because the word implies a certain amount of sleight of hand, and her hands definitely employ no trickery or illusion. When you’re lying on her table feeling energies shifting and muscles unfurling, and when you’re walking out of her treatment room feeling 2 drinks in to happy hour on the back deck, and when you’re flying through 60 minutes of spin class the next morning feeling like you could do 60 more, you’ll know Ellen’s abilities are very real.
I have had both massage and craniosacral therapy with Ellen, and not only felt much stronger during exercise in the days following, but also noted quantifiable improvements in my performance. Which is to say I take semi-​psycho spin classes that record and store your stats online, and mine always go up after I’ve seen her. Truly, I can attribute the change to nothing and no one else but Ellen, and I am grateful to have found her.

Ellen is magic. I had a car wreck in October — I was t-​boned in an intersection by someone who wasn’t paying attention and ran the red light. I was in constant pain. Although it’s been a road to recovery, Ellen has been paramount to my healing. Her intuition and skill for finding exactly where to work to not only relieve the pain but help the area heal is incredible. We have worked together to heal things from my past that were hindering my recovery too.
Her patient, calm, healing energy has also been a gift to me. I’m not sure how I would have made it through this ordeal without her. I’ve been giving her card to everyone who mentions they need a massage. I have seen many massage therapists in my life and Ellen is truly one of the best, if not the best. Be kind to yourself and go see her.

This was the best massage I have had in years! Ellen is very thorough and specifc. She found all of my tight spots I knew were there, and some I had not yet discovered and she worked through all of them. Her knowledge of the body and specifc muscles was better than most massage therapist I have seen before and she created an environment where I could relax and let go of all the tension. I will positively be back for more!
