Went here with a party of 9 to make a birthday dinner reservation for my boyfriend on June 20th Monday. I must say our party was incredibly disappointed with our experience here. The restaurant was terribly understaffed(a server dealt with 15 customers alone!) and the kitchen worked at a pace of a snail on a sunny cement. Dishes that were supposed to come out in 30 minutes came out nearly ANHOUR later! The lasagna my friend and I each ordered were scorched on outside while gooey and doughy within. Not to add the bill also took another 30 – 45 minutes to come out. What was supposed to be an hour MAX was more like a two hour experience and everyone else was too tired to enjoy anything else for a round two. If the restaurant was in Cards Against Humanities, it would be «a disappointing birthday party» card.

From the great reviews of this place I expected a bit better in terms of the quality of the food. 1. Bruschetta – my boyfriend described the bread as stale. The bread was not warm or freshly toasted. It was like bread that had been toasted previously and then set aside for us when needed. 2. Lamb chops – cooked perfectly at medium rare. However, there was NO lamb flavor to them surprisingly and this is not my first time eating lamb. The chops were not as «gamey» as you would expect. The texture of the farro could also be improved. 3. Pancetta chicken – a solid dish, I found this too salty but my boyfriend thought it was alright 4. Potato pancake – the waitress sold us on the description(leeks, sour cream, twice baked) but reality is underseasoned mashed potatoes formed into a pancake, baked, and then topped with bread crumbs. The bread crumbs were the worst part texture-wise. As much as I wanted to like this place, I couldn’t. For the price, I did expect something better.

We’re from Houston Texas. We visited the space needle and walked further down to this place. Walked in and were sat right away. Food was so so so good and the ambiance was perfect. The menu changes, so keep that in mind while looking at the menu on line. Amazing find!

This place is fantastic. 5 star food at 3 star prices. Portion size is good, but not overwhelming. Great wine list. Our table had a good mix of the menu and everything was fabulous. The wait staff is excellent. The best part is the open kitchen. You get to enjoy the aromas of everything being cooked. I will definitely eat here again.

I came here to try the legendary pan roasted chicken. It was good but not that good. I’m not quite sure why all the rave. Meanwhile lasagne was better than I expected with perfect layer and texture. Try other dishes other than the chicken when you swing by.

Final night in Seattle after an Alaska cruise, hotel recommend the Crow. It was the best meal of my 11 day vacation. Had the king salmon which was cooked to perfection. My husband had the house made gnocchi, outstanding! All of the staff is wonderful.

Had a really mixed experience, which ultimately came down to poor service. Overall the food was really tasty — the lasagna in particular was both delicious and a bargain at only $ 18. I’d heard that the service was slow, and that was definitely the case, however I also felt like a bit of an unwelcome guest at a hipster gathering in a trendy garage. It was more like my order for food had been overheard by the waitress while she mulled over the next thrift-store purchase she was chasing down, as opposed to a conversation. The chefs were really killing it in the kitchen, and I really wanted to give it 4 stars, but the service was disappointing. I’ll be back for the lasagna, and will update the review if it’s improved.

We stumbled onto Crow as we made our way back towards our hotel from the Space Needle. Crow was hands down the best meal I had while in Seattle. When we entered it was super crowded. Not one table was open, nor was there any space in the bar. The host and hostess were very friendly and told us they may be able to seat us shortly. We waited less than 10 minutes and were shown the best seat in the house. A table for two right next to the window! Food: We ordered the Seared Chicken and the Halibut. I was told the Seared Chicken took 30 minutes to prepare. Boy, was that 30 minutes worth the wait! This was the best, most moist, flavorful and delicious pieces of chicken I had tasted(outside of Indian Chicken preparations). The juice that the chicken sat in was incredible. The Halibut was also really good. For dessert we decided to try the Duck egg and honey panna cotta. How could you pass up on a dessert made out of duck egg! It was better than I expected — a bit of a custard and flan sort of combination. Service: The place was so packed(we found out that it was theater night and this restaurant fills up on those evenings, because of its locations). Despite the crowd, our waiter, Roger, was cool and calm, friendly and even took time to chit chat with us a little. Ambiance: The restaurant had a very trendy, hip feel to it. It was obviously a warehouse of some sort at one time. But, they had done a good job with the renovated look and feel. It was a bit dark, but since we had a window seat it didn’t bother us.

Wifey and I have traveled up and down the Westish Coast of America and have tried a lot of eateries claiming to have seasonal, regional dishes, but so far, only Crow has offered such a diverse and representative menu. Reading reviews I hoped I hadn’t missed morel season… There are things one should experience in life, and traveling to the PNW and having fresh Dungeness crab and local morels should be on everyone’s list. This is one place you can get those amazing fungi, if not the crab.

Excellent. This is a very cute, casual eatery with delicious food. We dared take our rambunctious three year old and he was suitably tolerated. To start hubby and I shared the cured meat plate, served with an assortment of olives and roasted hazelnuts. Inititally we thought the capicola was an iffy choice, but turned out to be just as delicious as the prosciutto and jamon. I had the New York Steak with morels, which was absolutely sexy delicious. Hubby had the pan seared halibut which he adored, although I thought the buttery flavor of halibut was overwhelmed by the greens. Kiddo had«kids noodles» which was pappardelle, butter and fresh grated parmesan. Dessert was caramel peanut tarte with rye whipped cream and black salt — the cream and salt created a beautiful smoky flavor on top of the thick dulce du leche. We could have sat and ate all night. This is a wonderful dinner spot, not too stuffy for kids or your damp rainwear.

An amazing meal that started the bar with some drinks and moved into appetizers and a wonderful dinner. Service was amazing and both my buddy and I had the meal of our life. The owner took great care of use as did the rest of the staff. Food takes the center stage and it’s cooked perfectly.

Came here for dinner before a show. Great food and attentive service, albeit a bit slow. We had made reservations and they sat us on the bar that faces the open kitchen. It was nice to see how the food is prepared but it makes you anxious to receive yours. The menu is limited but it all sounds good, so deciding what to eat was a little tough. I finally decided on the seared tenderloin steak as I love steak and the other dish I was interested in, the bacon wrapped chicken said it would take an extra half hour to cook and we were in hurry. It was fun to watch the cooks do their craft while we had appetizers and drinks. My only issue was that we watched and watched while quite a few steaks came and went and none were mine. We ended waiting almost 45 mins for our food, which I thought was a bit long but our waitress was nice and attentive the whole time. When the food arrived it was picture perfect and tasted amazing, definitely one of the best steaks I have ever had, great job! The tenderloin was cooked perfectly with a nice sear on the outside while it was still red, bloody and tender inside, just the way I like it. The accompanying veggies were cooked nicely too and tasted great. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend this place to anyone who is in the area and looking for great food in a swanky little location. I’ll definitely be back.

Had a great dinner when we were here last September. Sat up at the«Chef’s Bar» and got to watch them prepare entrees. Really nice staff and they are very helpful(and the food is awesome, too:-)

I went in around 5:30pm and sat at the bar. The bartender was very knowledgable and attentive to my drink. The selection of their happy hour was very wide in its small plates and drinks. I had the Goat Cheese Timbale served with arugula and crustini. While the overall plate was tasty, the timbale was VERY heavy on the onions and out of balance with the goat cheese. I would definitely try this place again for dinner, the lasagne looked amazing!

I’m never one to take major points off a restaurant because of poor service. Great food can make up for subpar service, any day. But this was an exception. We ordered everything within 10 minutes of sitting down, including drinks, a cheese board, and our entrees. The drinks and app came almost immediately… great! We were done with the app within 15 minutes, but waited around for another 10 when our waitress came around and asked us what we had ordered because things got mixed up in the kitchen. Not a great sign. She said our entrees would be out soon. Another 20 minutes went by, and she stopped by to tell us that she was mistaken earlier, and whatever apology she had for being slow was actually meant for another table. Weird??? Another 20 minutes roll by, with frequent visits from the person responsible for filling water cups, but only a rare glimpse of our waitress. Finally, about an hour after ordering, our food came. Whether or not the food was any good, is at this point irrelevant. It was so late that my date no longer even wanted to eat, so we nibbled for a few minutes and left with our food in boxes. All this without an explanation, apology, or even acknowledgement from our waitress that things were slow. And by the time we got our food, we were surrounded by empty tables, so it’s not like they were swamped. We realized halfway through our hour long foodless wait, that our waitress almost surely just forgot to put our order in until we’d been sitting there for 30 minutes. It just blows when you don’t go out to eat that frequently(and when you do it’s usually cheaper restaurants), and when you finally get a chance to go someplace a little more upscale, you just seem to be forgotten about.

When my fiancé proposed Crow as his birthday dinner venue this year, I was lukewarm. I had heard negative remarks about the restaurant — some about the food, but mostly about the service. I even put a little bit of effort into moving the dinner elsewhere, but it was his birthday, and I had to be nice. I must say, though, that it exceeded my expectations by a great deal. From the outside, it doesn’t look like much, and it might even be easy to miss. It’s located in an old brick building, among a short strip of commercial establishments on the corner of 5th and Aloha, in a largely quiet residential part of Lower Queen Anne. Inside, though, it’s a svelte mix of urban, art deco, and romantic: tall ceilings, long drapes, branch railings, exposed kitchen, elegant chandeliers, low lights. Pretty. When our party of six walked through the front door for our 7:30pm reservation, we immediately caught a whiff of something wonderful. We got excited at once. We were seated and handed menus promptly. Okay, the menu was not the biggest, but it seemed like everyone in our party already knew to order either the lasagne or the pan-roasted chicken because everyone Unilocaled beforehand. Our server affirmed those two items were their most ordered ones. To start, our group shared cured meats, a cheese plate, and a baguette. I thought the serving of cured meats was generous. All six of us had a good enough sampling of the three different types of meat in there. I especially appreciated the marcona almonds that came along with them. The blend of house preserves in the cheese plate was good, too. For entrées, my fiancé and I got the lasagne. Two people in our group got the chicken, and the other two got the beef tenderloin. I noticed that the servings were relatively big. The lasagne, for one, was a giant slab of cheesy, tomatoey, herby, sausagey deliciousness. The edges were slightly crusty, which was awesome. It was well-balanced — I could taste everything I was supposed to taste. I just didn’t expect it to be that big of a portion, and I wished I hadn’t eaten so much of the starters. I felt like I was going to end up in a food coma halfway through my lasagne. My fiancé loved it, too. I was too full to try any of the chicken or the beef tenderloin, but those who had the chicken raved about it being juicy and good, and those who had the beef tenderloin said it was great. You’d think everyone would stop eating after downing those huge entrée portions, but we ordered three dessert items afterwards: a toffee cake, a hot chocolate soup, and a lemon tart. My, my, my. Everything was yummy. The toffee cake was comprised of dates and toffee, cream and pineapple chunks on the side. I really loved how the flavors came together. And who would think a hot chocolate«soup» would be that awesome? I didn’t even know it was a thing. It was hazelnut gelato melting over hot chocolate and cinnamon biscotti. I was in love with this pure genius! The chocolate was so decadent, and I thoroughly enjoyed how the warmth and thickness of it conjoined with the cold and softness of the gelato. It was such an addictive mix. I thought prices were reasonable as well. For everything we ate and a couple rounds of drinks, the total came out to just over $ 300. Not bad! Our server was very friendly and articulate, but not the fastest. There were long gaps between her visits to our table. That would be the only ding. All in all, though, I loved it here. I would unhesitatingly recommend it for both group dinners and more intimate dinner dates!

In my personal opinion, I thought the food was average here at best. I ordered the risotto succotash and my friend ordered the lasagna. While waiting for our entrees, we ordered bread on the side and was disappointed when it came out cold, considering we were paying additional for it. The service was okay and my friend got food poisoning after eating the lasagna so she is now traumatized from pasta and cheese.

Crow was our first meal in Seattle and a great start to our trip. We sat at the chef’s counter because it was the only seating available and we were so glad we did. The chefs were super friendly and we had a great time chatting with them. Service is top notch. Fast and friendly. Food is awesome. The beet salad was ridiculous. Chicken and lasagne were great as well. We ordered dishes that could so easily be plain and boring but Crow took the time to make them something special.

Overall, I really enjoyed Crow, and I would definitely go back. I’ll get to the star deductions momentarily. It was really warm in the restaurant, but that doesn’t factor into my score. My wife and I dropped in without reservations and were given the choice to wait ~40 minutes or sit immediately at the bar. We opted for the bar, and it was a great choice. It was nice to be able to see the chefs preparing all of the meals. I saw the chefs cooking up a lot of delicious-looking salmon, which was the fish of the day. I ordered a few rounds of the rustic baguette to start because I was starving, and then I ordered the salmon and an old fashioned. Much to my dismay, our waitress came back after a few minutes and told me that there was no more salmon. Heartbroken, I opted for the prosciutto-wrapped chicken instead. As I waited and enjoyed my beverage, which was really good, I watched order after order after order of salmon get cooked and delivered to customers who ordered long after us. That was annoying to say the least. My meal ended up being great. The chicken was perfectly cooked and delicious. Portion sizes were large, so I didn’t have enough room for dessert.

4.5 for this place! At first I thought I wasn’t going to like this place as much because the hostess wasn’t quite welcoming, but our server was pretty nice. Also the food is delicious and the portions were generous. We ordered the roasted beet salad, soup du jour(chowder), rustic baguette, minted fava bean and pea bruschetta(incredibly refreshing), fish of the day(halibut, and i loved the snap peas and purée that came with it), brown butter gnocchi(slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It went very well with the morel mushrooms), pan roasted chicken(the chicken was huge and was not dry at all! The proscuitto added a lot flavor to the chicken as well), and carrot cake(a scoop of ice cream would make it perfect). I think my favorite was probably the bruschetta. GIVETHISPLACE A TRY :)

I went here during seattle restaurant week and the food did not disappoint. For starters, I got the sauteed prawns and spanish chorizo over grits. OMG. you must order this dish. It was definitely comfort food at its finest. The cut up sausages that they added to the dish was a nice touch. It added a different taste to the dish and made it more flavorful. For entrée, I ordered the slow cooked pork belly with kale and carrots. Overall, I liked this dish. The pork belly was delicious and not dry at all. They give you a pretty decent portion of pork belly that I couldn’t even finish the whole dish. For desserts, I got the chocolate panna cotta. It was a nice light dessert to finish off the heavy meal. I liked the crushed chocolate(coffee?) bits on the side. It provided a different texture to every smooth panna cotta bite. Overall, I would return to this place for dinner. It is a great place to have dinner with friends and family or even a date. 1 star was marked off because we waited at the host desk longer than necessary with no one greeting us even though the bartender clearly saw us(we made eye contact). I had to double check if they were even open because of how awkwardly we were standing there.

Four of us walked a few blocks from our hotel as this place was recommended We were greeted by the lovely Cassandra whom escorted us to our table. As we walked through the dimly lit establishment with their long and well stocked bar on the right and their lively populated tables to the left we were finally seated. We were greeted by the lovely Courtney who was our server for the evening. The wine list is just ok. Not enough choices and what they had was passable but they could do a lot better The menu is small with not many choices but what we did have was all good Highly recommend the shrimp and grits appetizer and for the dinner chicken wrapped with prosciutto and the roasted halibut with tempanade. The desserts were just okay but because of the vibe, the location to where I stay and the service, I will be back to EATCROW
