My wife and I just moved to West Seattle, so naturally I was in need of a new barber. I drove past this classic shop and thought I would check it out. I’m glad I did! I prefer my hair shorter on the sides and back but keeping it longer on top, and that’s exactly what I got. The owner is a super friendly lady who grew up in West Seattle and told me all about the area. The cut was quick, around 15 minutes and prices were comparable to other barbers. I called ahead and made an appointment but if you wanted to walk in, you wouldn’t be waiting long. Good conversations, good prices, and good cuts but mostly with clippers. I found my new barber!

Went to get a mens cut. Asked for short on the sides and long on top. Might as well just ask for a jarhead look. Rarely used scissors and just kept buzzing it away.

Decent, friendly and convenient. Nothing super special and they hold very true to a classic barbershop type vibe. Could use more attention to detail when it comes to the finishing touches but over all a positive experience seeing as I walked in with no idea how I wanted my hair to look when I left. Not bad for $ 17!

After going to a high end salon in Bellevue for almost ten years, I decided that I needed to find a place closer to where I lived to save time and gas. I walked in to the shop right before 5, and was quickly seated. Angela was very nice and did a great job, and the price was extremely reasonable. I will be coming back!

My 4 year old son was visit his aunt who lives in West Seattle. I needed my sister to take him to get a hair cut for family photos. Julie didn’t know what a high and tight with skin on the sides was. My sister text me a photo and I told her to take him back. The second time she still didn’t get it right. The photos still turned out nice but the next day I took him back to have her fix it and it was terrible. The hair cut was $ 15 and my sister tipped $ 5. The barber shops I’m used to going to have $ 8 military hair cuts and no one has ever messed it up. At least she could’ve been nice when I brought him back. She acted like she was doing me a favor. A waste of money and time!!!

I just moved to West Seattle from San Francisco and was really looking for a good barber. Back in the Bay Area I went to the same guy for years, so I had pretty high expectations for cuts. I saw several good reviews for some places in downtown Seattle, but just wanted something closer. So I decided to give Classic Barber a shot…
I called and made an appointment with Julie and she did not let me down. She gave me a great cut with a tight fade and good carving. Julie very quickly recognized what I wanted and made sure she got it right. She was quick and great to talk to and even gave me some tips about being new in the neighborhood. I absolutely recommend Julie as a barber.

These guys are great. Prices are very reasonable and you get a really good cut. I usually get a buzz cut and you’d be surprised how many places can screw that up. I had planned on trying two or three locations in West Seattle before settling on one but I don’t think I have to. I tried one on 35th which was good, but the prices are better at Classic and I like the vibe better. I wanted to try a guy a bit further South on California but after going by 6 times on various dates and times and him never being open, I’ve decided to give up.

Love this place, took me 7 years of living in West Seattle to find «my guy». No nonsense, very attentive to detail, affordable. I’m a short-​hair guy and pretty fussy about how it looks when it’s cut, and Keith always does a great job.

I stumbled upon this hole in the wall by accident, and boy am I glad I did! Julie, the barber, was amazing! Funny, skilled, quick, and cheap! She instantly recognized how I wanted my hair cut based on the way I was styling it.
This place is a bare-​bones shop, no fancy lighting, no credit/​debit cards, and no receptionist. Don’t let that throw you off, the shop is clean, and definitely a good deal!
