John does a great job and I used to go here all the time. Problem is he is never open when I need a cut. As the other poster mentioned, he’s closed at least one week a month and then only open Wednesday — Saturday.
His price (~$ 17?) is a little high for a standard cut, but he does a great job, the best barber in the area by far (I’ve been to a lot).

really, I like my haircut a lot.
I mean, I think it looks pretty damn good and I think I’m my own worst critic.
The guy who runs Alki Style is a nice guy, and super, super chatty. I like everyone to be chatty so I was into it. If you let him, he’ll talk your ear off.
He takes appointments, but they’re not required.
He’s a good guy, gives a good hair cut. Makes so much money he can vacation all the time, and I think that speaks to the man’s talent.
He’s closed the first full week of every month, and works 3 – 4 days of all the other weeks.
