Their chicken and waffles is amazing. It’s plenty of a serving. Humble team of mom amd daughter with the biggest hearts.

You wouldn’t know it from the outside but this place is so great. It’s the definition of a local secret. The owners are fantastically warm and sincere and the folks who eat there regularly clearly come to hang out for a while(usually really nice pensioners and local historians) but it’s all about the fried chicken wings. Forget KFC or even the highly overrated Ezell’s(there’s actually one of those less than a block away): these are the best fried chicken wings around(I recommend calling ahead to reserve them)! Also their collard greens, beans, and then the waffles and their own take on somosas… fantastic. I hear they’re about to start serving pasta dishes too and we keep planning to try their traditional Ethiopian dishes, but those wings won’t let us go. Definitely a place to support.

This place is so good. So much better than Nates. Plenty of parking, great prices, and even better service. I had French toast and chicken and waffles. Both did not disappoint!

Simple fried chicken seasoned with salt and pepper. Crispy and juicy. Wings are the huge 3 section wings(as opposed to the individual parts at wings restaurants) so the $ 11 for 7 plate isn’t as expensive as it first sounds. Reminds me of Roscoe’s in Los Angeles minus the waffles(crap reading the other reviews, they must have waffles on a menu that I didn’t see). Come to think of it, I am going to have my leftovers with Belgian waffles for breakfast tomorrow. Order took about 15 minutes to fry up fresh. I was there in an off hour after the Blue Angels at Seafair. Saw the sign while stuck in traffic…

Definitely a hole in the wall that’s worth going into. The owners, a very sweet Ethiopian family, were super friendly and very easy going. I was recommended to this place by a stranger at a dog park who would make the commute from Kent to Seattle just for the wings so I had to give it a try. Their fried chicken was awesome! Can’t wait to come back and give the rest of their menu a taste! FYI, the parking lot is small and usually always full so it’s hard to find a good place to park.

Omg… the breakfast is amazing. The perfectly cooked and seasoned potatoes with pepper and bacon… and then the links on the side… Yum! Run to here. The service is amazing, the hostess is super gracious and the cook is cool like ice :)

Nothing like good food, good service and good company on a Sunday morning! French toast, ginger tea, roasted potatoes for brunch is out of this world! I love great brunch food and great service! Definitely leaving with a happy tummy and a happy heart! This Portland native will be back:)

–0.5 stars for parking and driving there sucks –0.5 stars currently renovating and it looks really messy, bad impression at first, but it’s not Came here at about 1:30 pm on a Monday Initially, my boyfriend and I came for the chicken and waffles because I was craving for some so baddd. However, their waffle maker was down(which I was sad about) but ended up ordering chicken and French toast.($ 9.99) gotta say, it was a great substitution and I cleaned my plate. I enjoyed the fried chicken and dipping it in syrup. It was a great combination with the French toast, actually. This is definitely a hole in the wall place. It’s owned by an Ethiopian family/couple. At first, it was sort of awkward… not sure if it was established that you go up and order/pay first or just sit down then pay? But we just went up to the cashier and ordered. The menu is way too big and I was way too hungry to look at the whole thing lol. I went straight to the breakfast section. The cook mentioned he made everything from scratch and how equally great the pancakes and French toast were to the waffles(since not having waffles available) Otherwise, the couple was very friendly and I think it’s great when they come up to talk to you to have an actual conversation and see how your food is. Also the cook was saying how he is in the works of making a savory stuffed french toast. Yum! I don’t mean to sound so passive, but overall my boyfriend and I will be coming back here soon!

The fried chicken is amazing. Very moist and crispy, with great flavor on the skin. The drumsticks were big and meaty, not as much meat on the wings. Most of us ordered the chicken with waffles, and I thought the waffle was possibly the best part. It was fluffy and sweet, perfect complement to the chicken. The Combo #1 with 3 pieces of chicken and a waffle was plenty of food and very satisfying. I took off a star because service was not«express» — we waited 45 minutes for our food. Also, they charge 60¢ to use a card, so be prepared. And generally just don’t expect regular service like a sit down restaurant and you’ll be fine.

A nice little establishment that is tucked away and run by a kind Ethiopian family. The food is good. They have some good soul food breakfast– the grits were solid. I will be back, especially to try the chicken and waffles. Nice place, good food, nice people… you should stop in!

You almost miss this tucked away little restaurant, but do stop in. A sweet family owns and runs everything, from the chef to wait and counter staff, and they’ll make sure you’re happy with your food. I had chicken and waffles(my first time with this combo) and it was great! I was told it was«mom’s» special recipe. This is definitely a little gem of a restaurant.

Will never go back. Came in one time for lunch to go. Chicken was dry and not tasty at all. Place was a disaster.
