Friendly service and not too crowded late Saturday morning. Excellent chai and bonus that they have almond milk. Love that this place is dog friendly! I had the tuna sandwich, which was ok. I will say both the ciabatta and lettuce were fresh, but the sandwich was a bit dry overall. Will be back to try other options in the future.

Cherry street is still the best coffee and breakfast!!! The Milky Way(kind of a caramel mocha) is my absolute favorite coffee drink in Seattle– they also have really good quiche, jalapeño bagels are my favorite that they also use for breakfast sandwiches, and they have great lunch sandwiches too!

I have been to 3 different cherry street locations. — The Capitol Hill location at Pine and Bellevue has always been ace. — The location at First ave has always been ace. — The location on 5th around the corner from 5-points café has always been a questionable experience. First they have a terrible sewer /drain, old water pipe smell. I know this is a problem in older buildings, but please, you are a restaurant /café with large seating capacity compared to the other locations — please address. The employees at the 5th ave location are always seemingly checked out or on to other stuff besides helping the customers thru and keeping the transactions flowing. Lastly the other day I was in the 5th ave location and saw a thin small sign they have affixed to their SQUARE payment terminal saying that orders of $ 35 or more will receive an auto 15% gratuity… hahah what? A café takeaway counter with no servers and where you bus your own table is going to force a 15% gratuity on you for an order of $ 35? hahaha ok. This has never happened to me but I would love to be there when some smart-arse breaks their $ 100 order down into 4-$ 25 orders to get around it or even worse just tells them to sod off and never comes back. Overall one thing the chain needs is to shake up or renovate their menu more often. I have eaten at the different locations so many times i am completely burnt out on the food and just cant anymore. I mostly just pop in for takeaway coffee which is good. I hope to see a new menu soon and try it!

Cute little place. Coffee and coffee cake were both pretty good. We sat in some comfy chairs by the window.

Good coffee. Great ambiance. You can study(big tables), people watch, or just chill and watch the railway go by!

Oh Cherry Street, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways… 1) The basil/tomato/egg wrap(whole wheat) is a fav. Bagel/cream cheese/lox is also a winner. Their espresso’s are especially strong, which I like. 2) There’s a board on the wall filled with mini-posters of upcoming cultural events & concerts; this really adds to the cozy neighborhood vibe of the place. 3) For me, part of the experience of drinking tea or coffee is the mug. I know, I’m being a bit silly, but the Cherry Street mugs branded with the red logo and Persian calligraphy is very appealing and makes drinking my coffee or tea more enjoyable. 4) It’s a local Seattle owned business. While I am not suggesting that you entirely give up your Starbucks, it’s nice to support our local stores.

I know this place is a chain but I think that it is cute and has really good coffees. Prices are decent and the staff was alright. I would come back next time I was in the area, but I would also try and find something new.

With so many coffee shops nearby, I’m happy to say that Cherry Street is one of my favorites! Here’s why: The coffee– You know how when you’re a regular at a place and sometimes they get your iced soy latte JUSTPERFECT?! Like you have to stop and savor it. It’s-going-to-be-a-good-day kind of coffee. Well, Cherry Street does that more often for me than any other place(and I’ve been a regular at many-a coffee shops in my day). The espresso is rich and nutty and a thing of beauty. The breakfast– On the mornings I need an extra something, I’m heading to Cherry Street for the egg and cheese on an everything bagel! You should add salt and pepper before you dig in. Not the best breakfast sammie in the area, but very good! I do NOT recommend the sausage and pepper breakfast items, they’re too greasy and not worth it flavor-wise. The service– The people who work here are always sunny and nice and make me feel like a cool kid again. They’re great with suggestions if you’re unsure of what to get too. I love that Cherry Street opens early! There is usually easy street parking in the area(maybe the condos that are being built will change that), free wifi, and a great place to study. They even have a couple of bistro tables for outdoor seating on nice days.

Coffee house? This place seriously calls itself a coffee house? They have two sorry sections of coffee… hot or cold. Their choice of sweeteners is way more extensive… sugar, splenda and sweet & low. Might as well rename the Turd hole cherry street sweetener house.

So it is my first time in Seattle and I love coffee right… So I decided I am going on a tour of some of the coffee houses that were voted to have the best coffee(seeing as though Seattle is known for their coffee). This coffee house(along with all the others I have been to thus far) has been a complete disappointment. I ask the barista if they have a light roast. She says«no we use [names the bean]». I didn’t ask for that… I asked whether they have a light fukcin roast. Anyway, the coffee tastes like shit. My choices were somewhat limited as they had: A hot or a cold cup of coffee… In a 12oz. 14oz. or 16oz.

Cute, cozy little coffee shop. Went there to grab a quick breakfast and cup of coffee. The«Milky Way» is a must. Had a bacon, egg and cheese breakfast pita that was also delicious! They had a pretty large selection of food and other beverages besides coffee which was cool.

This coffeehouse is right across the street from my office, so it has become a regular stop on my way back from lunch or the bank. Never much of a wait, so that’s nice. Always a few people hanging out reading or chatting. Cozy atmosphere. The coffee is good, a bit slow, but they make up for it with friendly staff and«latte art.» I enjoy their milky way latte(caramel and chocolate) Their largest coffee is 16oz, so that’s the only bummer. I would love a 24oz some mornings(#Mondays)

I didn’t find a coffee stop until almost noon today so needless to say I was tweaking. Got the usual 4 shot Americano with light room. On the plus side the drink was extra hot. Seriously hot enough for some jerk to spill on himself then sue. On the downside, not sure why but I didn’t find the coffee to be very good. Also, the banana bread had a lot of chocolate in it so it was too sweet. Never would have ordered it if I had known. All in all not so bad but no reason to go out of your way to go here. Should have broke down and got lame Starbucks as the wait surprisingly did not pay off.

I totally was under the impression that Cherry Street was going to be just your average Seattle coffee shop. So not true! What sets Cherry Street apart from the average coffee house is their unique and tasty food menu. Perfect for a quick, healthy and cheap lunch, Cherry Street offers a wide array of savory food items. Try their homeade quiche of the day served with a side green salad packed with veggies, feta and even sprouts(how often is that you get a green salad with sprouts?! YUM!) I’m also a fan of a good chicken salad and they serve up a tasty one: white meat chicken, almonds, celery, tarragon, tossed in a vinagrette. It’s light and refreshing and a nice break away from your typical mayonnaise based chicken salads if you’re in the mood for something lighter.

Full disclosure — I did not step foot into this coffee shop. My order was delivered via Postmates during their $ 2 coffee delivery fee promo. Was really looking forward to my order of a regular drip coffee, breakfast wrap, and BLT, until I took a bite of the wrap. It had such promise. It was on soft pita with a generous amount of egg and bacon. The first few bites I noticed a cardboard-like taste and spit out little pieces of paper. Thought it was just an anomaly until I unwrapped the wrap. Lo and behold, they forgot to take the paper off the cheese. Gross. Gross. Gross. It made me wonder — if they can’t remember something as simple as this, what else are they forgetting? Makes you wonder, right?

A nice spot and friendly. It is a great intimate location across from the Seattle center. The coffee is good and the various dessert treats are lovely too. Love the staff who was warm and friendly. Had a sandwich there as well which was also lovely.

Oh man. I did not HAVE a sandwich at Cherry Street Coffee House. I had a sandwich INFLICTED upon my poor palette. It was one of the worst sandwiches I have ever had the displeasure of tasting. I came in here with a friend for a quick lunch on the way downtown and it was righteously bad. The best part was the handsome hipster behind the counter who was actually pulling off that sickeningly hip mustache pretty well. But oh, handsome hipster man, why did you not warn me to steer clear of that menu item? Whyyyy? My friend had a quiche filled to the brim with bacon. She said it was very good, but when she asked, she was told most of their stuff of that nature is brought in from other local companies, not made in house. Which explains a lot. What I ordered, however, WAS made in-house, and unfortunately, it was awful enough to substantiate this incredibly negative review. I ordered a sandwich with Feta, cucumber sauce, arugula, cucumber, and tomatoes. I had options for bread, so I took the handsome mustached man’s advice and went for the bread with sliced olives baked in. That bread was the only part of this sandwich that might have actually tasted good under better circumstances. The feta was a disaster of gritty pastiness. The cucumber sauce was beautifully flavorless and went everywhere every time I tried to take a bite out of the bizarrely overstuffed sandwich. I swear there was a layer of feta and cucumber sauce two inches thick. It was gritty, sharp, salty, mildly tangy, and just plain unpleasant. Man, I could not even eat half of this thing it was so bad. My friend looked at it and said it was extremely unappetizing. I’d also like to point out that the sandwich was cold. I really expected something warm because it never occurred to me that cold feta could taste good in anything other than a salad. So clearly, I am not a happy customer. I know I only had the one item, but it was so bad that I felt strongly enough to write this whole review about it. If you go to Cherry Street Coffee House, the coffee might be alright. I don’t know. The quiche seems fine. But for the love of all that is holy, steer very clear of the sandwich menu.

This café was one of my first tastes of Seattle: I stopped to use the wifi while hunting for my future apartment. It was and still is beautiful inside with huge old windows facing 5th Ave and the baristas are SUPER cool. There are plenty of coffee shops near the Seattle Center, but this is definitely my go-to place for a dirty chai to go, or some coffee and wifi. Aside from the awesome staff, this Cherry St. Coffee has homemade cookies for sale in jars on the counter, and a refrigerated thing with bottled drinks, sandwiches, pies, quiches, etc. This is one of those places where the baristas take great pride in the presentation of their espresso drinks, so to my delight, there is usually enough foam on top for a foam mustache on the first sip. This place is also a wifi champion! They have plenty of electrical outlets, a big old table if you want to study with a few people, and plenty of 2 top tables. The café is large and the huge windows make it seem even larger, and even on cloudy winter days, there is a lot of light coming in… all in all a very inviting place.
